In search of coffee and a midday snack, we were lucky enough to stumble upon this little bakery. Upon entering, we were taken aback by all the beautifully decorated desserts on display. It was so hard to choose! Seriously, the variety was insane and every item in those cases looked amazing. We eventually chose two cupcakes (cookies and crème and confetti cake) that were simply incredible! The owners were really great as well– they even brought us a bowl of water for our dog. Between the service and the food, this place was a total winner.

Thank you one more time – you never cease to amaze us when we request a special cookie as a shower favor for our friends and family to take home. We have come to you with the «Wild Things» animal baby shower theme to bridal shower couple pictures-​and everything from coloring to detail is spot on. The best part is that the cookies are soooo good and freeze well! We always order extras just to have around! Thank you for being our go-​to bakery for all our specialty needs!

Not going to lie, I was in search of a birthday cake for my little sister and decided to Unilocal the nearest bakery to me and ended up here.
This cute little bakery shop is located near Kent Station in a plaza that for some reason gives you old-​town type of nostalgia. When you first enter the shop, you are immediately met by a display case filled with a variety of pastries and desserts. Everything looked so good that I had to order some extra things!
So I caved and took a peanut butter cupcake and my boyfriend got a cookies n’ crème cupcake. The frosting for both were both creamy and yummy! Although, there definitely was A LOT of peanut butter cream… I love cupcakes but man… I had to scrape a chunk of it off since it was that much. The chocolate cake base was the same for both cupcakes we got, and I would say it wasn’t the best. If you tried trophy’s cupcake, I would say the cake here was dry in comparison. Overall the cupcakes were okay, but honestly not something I would return back for. They also had a variety of macaroons which I unfortunately didn’t get to order. But I did take a picture of the variety they had!
After realizing my initial mission was to get a cake for my little sister, I headed over to their fridge to see what kinds of cake they had already pre-​made. I was looking around and one caught my eye… a cake that had one of the cutest cake designs I’ve seen. It was designed with mini little pink macaroons with chocolate ganache design. The inside of the cake was rich in dark chocolate with a raspberry filling. So delicious, and my little sister loved it as well! Although, the mini macaroons had no flavor to it, just the taste of sugar. It really is just there for decoration since it wasn’t flavored or anything. I purchased the cake for $ 30. Beautiful cake, but not something I would purchase again!
As for customer service, I would say «meh.» The young lady the helped me wasn’t too helpful and didn’t say much.
The bakery wasn’t a «must come back» kind of experience. I may visit again to try their other stuff if I pass by, especially their cake balls and macaroons! Hopefully they are as amazing as they look. :)

I ordered cookies here for my dad’s retirement from the US Postal Service. So many to choose from, but I chose cookies in the shape of a mailing letter, letter drop box and mail truck. The cookies were soft, delicious and not overly sweet! I will definitely order from here again!

I ordered and picked up a cake last week from them and I was beyond impressed. I had found a picture I wanted online and ordered it through their website. The lady called me the next day and was very upfront with prices and also confirmed every little detail I wanted. When I went to pick it up on Saturday, it was in perfect condition and the gal there let me know everything I needed to do to keep it fresh. The cake itself was so delicious. We will definitely be going back.

I just can’t say enough good things about this place! My fiancé and I came across this gem while exploring our town just after moving into our new apartment. Such a great find! Shop is welcoming and they have plenty of room inside or on a nice day you can sit outside. Come to find out my fiancé recognized the gentleman behind the counter, he use to be one of her teachers. They struck up a conversation and made our visit even more enjoyable.
Now on to the treats… WOW! I try to get something new every visit and I haven’t been disappointed yet! Macaroons are my favorite, even their savory treats are great. Espresso or tea, sweet or savory… this place will definitely have something for your cravings.
They recognize us when we walk in and have made us forever customers.

Not a heavily trafficked bakery in downtown Kent. Nice place to take a break, have a cup of coffee and read the paper. Good to support a local business.

Over priced and bad customer service.
There was two workers there when I visited. They were busy talking to each other but looked up when I walked in. They looked at me then looked back down to whatever they were doing so I greeted them instead. Okay… bad start.
My son was super excited about the cupcakes so I let him browse. I asked how much the different items were because they didn’t have a price list anywhere, which seems to be a big problem bc the girl was training and one that was training her was on the phone. I get that you need to be trained but when you have customers in front of you and we’re the only ones there, shouldn’t the attention of the trainer and trainee be in helping the customer?! (After the trainer got off the phone she disappeared)
While paying I noticed they had a punch card. I picked one up hoping that the employee would tell be more about it but she just ignored it. So I had to asked her about. I kind of felt like maybe I should be the one working there instead.
Cupcakes and macaroons were super sweet and dry. Tasted almost stale.
Hoping that it was just a bad day for them because I was really excited to try it. Maybe in a few years we’ll try again.

I’ve been coming here on and off for years. Not sure why I haven’t written a review yet. Shame on me! This is a family-​owned mom n pop local bakery. It’s a cute little shop in the heart of downtown Kent right on Meeker. I come here during during varying times of the day and week — whenever I’m in the area.
There is ample street parking around the area. I’ve never had any issues finding a spot. Sometimes I do have to park at a bit of a distance but I don’t mind the walk. I surely need it after I pack on the calories from consuming all the yumminess.
I have had their varying baked goodies through out the years and I never had anything I didn’t like. I love to come by here when ever I have unexpected last minute guests. I usually pick up a few of their bars to cut up into bite size chunks. They are perfect for serving on an elongated platter with a doily. It looks so purrrdy! Not to mention delicious! I also enjoy their espressos. I love to come by here Saturday mornings whenever the Kent Farmer’s Market is going on. It’s just a quick jaunt around the corner.
This is also a perfect place to go to whenever a co-​worker has a birthday. I can pick up some goodies and they will tie a cute ribbon of my choice on the pink bakery box. I love the little touches.

Sweet Themes created beautiful red heart shaped cookies for my son’s preschool Valentine’s day party. I ordered 2 dozen individually wrapped cookies and as soon as I got to the car I tore into one and it was sooo good! Just perfection. I had to hide the rest of the cookies from my family to ensure the preschoolers received their cookies. Great job Sweet Themes.

I’ve always read reviews of this bakery, but never got a chance to go until yesterday. The inside isn’t too decorated, and not too big, but it’s a very cute space. They had a wonderful selection to choose from, although, some of their treats are a bit overpriced. I chose to get the cookies & cream cupcake and the champagne sugar cookie (?). I’m not a fan of cupcakes, but I got it for my little cousin and took a bite. It was very sweet, and there was more icing than the cupcake itself. The good thing is, the cupcake wasn’t dry! The champagne cookie I got for myself, the icing overpowered it so I scrapped it off — the cookie itself was amazing! It was infused with the right amount of champagne, wasn’t too sweet, and was not overpriced!

Decided to check this spot out just before closing (I know. not the best time to visit a bakery) and walked out with a couple things. I had the lemon blueberry scone which was pretty tasty. It wasn’t dry which was a plus but I would have like a little more lemon flavor. My wife walked out with a piece of coffee cake which was moist and had good flavor as well. I’ll have to check this spot out earlier in the day to get the fresh stuff!

Found this place after dinner at a nearby restaurant. Very friendly staff. The selection was amazing! I went in for cupcakes but I left with cookies, macaroons, and truffles too. So far, the truffle and macaroon were fantastic.

These guys make all sorts of delicious goods. They have a wide selection and the eating area is huge, so you can definitely grab a coffee get some pastries and do some hanging out. All of their bars are deliciously amazing. The mint chocolate cookie is scrumptious too. Definitely recommended if you’re in the Kent area.

I was disappointed leaving this place.
I had macaroons which where a complete fail and overpriced. They flavors not good at all and they where crunchy and fell apart when you bit onto them. My lavender cupcake not good at all. The cream felt like a slab of butter.
I expected the staff to be more friendly since this is a small town bakery. My sister tried chatting with them but they just were silent and awkward.
Coffee is burnt and not good at all. Don’t get coffee there. Walk to Starbucks which is around the corner.
I give it 2 stars instead of 1 because the red velvet cupcake was ok, and the toasted s’mores one is ok as well.

This place was okay, just average to me. The girl working there took forever to greet me ! I always wait for the employee to greet me, just so I can see their guest service skills. Obviously, she didn’t care if I was there or not. I was sad that they didn’t have macaroons :/​but I got a snicker doodle cookie that was kinda crunchy. Idk maybe I just prefer my cookie to be soft yet solid. I bought a cheesecake but didn’t end up eating it. But overall this place is okay. It is clean though ! But the girl didn’t offer me a stamp card until I saw them myself ! Even though we were at the check out counter !

I really wanted to find a good bakery near my work so I turned to Unilocal.This one is only a few miles away so I thought I would give it a try. It is located right by/​in Kent station and there was plenty of parking. The store was cute, clean and easy to find.
I walked in and saw one huge case of baked goods only to find there was another additional case as well. They have everything; cupcakes, macaroons, cookies, individual cheesecakes, cake pops, rice krispies and much more! I was impressed by the range of options as well. I ended up getting the éclair (which was about the size of my face), a red velvet cupcake and a couple of the almond macaroons. My favorite was the macaroons for sure. They were perfect! The éclair and cupcake was delicious as well though! I will definitely be back soon.

Very clean and cute store! :) My kids and I got some cake pop, cup cakes and cookies, they are all very good! And I also had a drink called «campfire mocha» —SUPER YUMMY! If they are closer to my house id go get that more often :)

I haven’t been back since my last review and am pretty shock it’s taken me this long to come back! Today we had their fudge brownie, truffle and macaroons… the fudge brownie was good, but I definitely have had better at other bakeries and their truffle was dry and hard to bite into… so why 4 stars?!? The macaroons!!! They were each light and soft with a crisp shell… A little on the pricier side 2.25 each but a lot better then I was expecting! Probably would rate a 3.5 but I love mom and pop shops and hope this one stays around!
