Always a fun time for the whole family and the foods great! Gets a bit loud but bring ear plugs if it bothers you that much! New games to play and half off games Wednesday!

Games were ok. Food was ok, the amount of people and the prices made it more than underwhelming. I would not suggest going on a weekend, if you don’t like waiting.

It was okay, service was a slow but once we got our 1st drink it kept up with the pace. There was quite a few games, not as big as some of the Dave and Busters I have seen but still not bad. The bartender was awesome she knew hot to make drinks that some bartenders haven’t heard of.

I was so excited to have a D&B in our area as a fun option. Obviously the crowd isn’t great but that’s to be expected. What I didn’t expect was such disappointing and utterly rude service. I hosted a family birthday here and our server complained about our group size of 8 and repeatedly disappeared while taking orders. She only had one other table of 2 so there seemed to be no excuse for her erratic behavior. When food came, the two people who ordered first(prior to one of her departures mid order) did not receive theirs. We had to ask again for their food which came 16 minutes later when the rest were finished eating. We expressed our disappointment to a manager only because he came up and asked. He defended the food’s cook time of 12 minutes to which I had to respond, «we ordered 45 minutes ago.» The server clearly forgot and rang it in late then blamed us and the kitchen. No one was willing to own up to the mistake and after a poor meal, I couldn’t believe I was arguing with the manager about the bad service. I will never return to this D&B. You will spend a lot of money and they do nothing to earn it.

Strange place. Bartender was very nice. Food was not very appetizing. Maybe it was just that I picked some sort of asian fusion dish that I should have know not to order from an arcade. Weird. Anyways, seems like a good place to go for a first date to play some games or if you don’t know anyone with an Xbox or PlayStation… Don’t think I’d go back to one on purpose. But if you’re into that sort of thing, by all means…

We met up with a couple this past Saturday and I was pleasantly surprised. We had fun playing games although it was a bit pricey I thought. Our food was really good and I think that and the games would bring me back. Our server was awful and you could tell he hated waiting on tables. We actually asked the guy dropping off our food if he could be our waiter. We were serious! I think they start taking care of the customers they may get more returns or at least have a manager go around and see how the service is going…

WOW! Where to start?! I’m soooo un-impressed! Took three tries just to bring me a water with lemons, and then I still had to fetch my own straw. It is a SLOW sunday afternoon, and I don’t think they could make my 8yr old feel any more un– welcomed. We come here regularly, and this is hands own the worst!

First time here, average everything! Wait time for service was long and the service was not good either. Food was typical for a establishment like this tasteless and poor quality. Never go back again!

I’ll give it 3 stars for the games. Food wasnt very fresh including cold fries– not acceptable on a night that you wasn’t busy at all. their eat and play combos are a good deal but don’t expect the food to taste how it looks on the menu

Loud and expensive pretty much covers it. We dropped a hundy for dinner and gaming for three. The games are 2⁄3 ticket-spitters and 1⁄3 arcade. And even though there are a couple immersive arcade machines, I was not truly excited by any of them(and I am an arcade rat from way back). The ticket-redemption store was surprisingly clean, neat, and organized. As for dinner, our server was good but probably had too many tables while we were seated. Too much time elapsed between hostess seating and first contact, and a bit too much time elapsed between that and our drink and food orders. My server did warn me against one of the«Tiki Drinks», The Painkiller, saying that customers didn’t like it and said it «smelled funny.» I trusted the server enough to skip it, even though I know exactly what goes into the drink that may have put off other people(coconut cream and nutmeg), but when a server feels strongly enough to persuade you against something, it’s your funeral if you decide to get it anyway! Our dinner entrees were actually slightly better than I expected. I had a creamy Alfredo pasta with chicken and shrimp. A but scant on the shrimp, but flavorful and plenty of chicken and cheesy goodness. I wouldn’t return for just dinner because of the ever present televisions and D&B crazyness spilling over into the atmosphere of the dining area. It really is like a casino for kids and teens.

AWFUL. From start to finish the experience was terrible. We arrived with a large party(20 professionals for a Christmas party) and they refused to seat us until we had 75% of the group there. Seriously. We had to gather 15 people in the lobby before they even considered putting us at a table. The place was basically empty too. Next up: Drinks and Food. I kid you not, it took them 45MINUTES to even come to our table and take our drink order. We talked with a manager and two servers before someone came over. We put our food order in at that time too because obviously we didn’t expect them to come back and take that in a timely manner. We waited almost an hour for the the mediocre food to show up. One of our guests was forgotten entirely. By the time her salad showed up everyone was done eating and cashed out. We got a meager apology about how busy they were and how they were out of certain ingredients. like lettuce?! Yeah, probably not. I’ve never had an experience this bad in Grand Rapids. The customer service was non-existent from the hostess to the managers. If you really want to go for the games, just do that. If you really want food make sure to lower your expectations and standards by an insane amount otherwise you will be nothing but disappointed. This might shock you, but I will never be going back.

To be honest, I was not that excited about going to Dave and Buster’s. I probably never would have visited Dave and Buster’s had I not been invited for a friend’s surprise birthday party. I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun I had. I was expecting something like a Chuck-E-Cheese on steroids. It’s actually way better than that. The group(there were about 10 – 12 of us) gathered near the front bar area and snagged a few of the tables between the bar and the booths surrounding the bar. We were told we couldn’t move the tables together due to it being a fire hazard, but we were fine with that since people were mingling and coming and going. We all hung out and had a few appetizers and drinks. Dave and Buster’s has a huge menu including a massive selection of specialty drinks. I went big with the Coronarita, a margarita with a mini Corona upended in it. It was super sweet(which I expected) but the Corona cut the sweetness a bit. It was pretty pricey, almost $ 10, but it was something fun to try and never order again. The beers were huge and not too badly priced. They also offer beer towers, which I have only seen in a few other places in town. The food wasn’t bad, actually. After reading some reviews on here I figured it would be pretty terrible. We shared some loaded tots, chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks. Everything was pretty average(as others have said, think Applebee’s), but I really liked the chicken tenders. Our server was great given the large party of people. She kept everyone’s bills separate even with people moving around. To play games, you load money onto cards. We had a couple of cards from my boyfriend’s previous visit so we were able to play quite a few games. We also got the chicken tenders meal that comes with a $ 10 game card.(They have several of these options for about $ 16.) They have kiosks where you can easily add money to your cards. We went on a Wednesday when I thought games are ½ off but I’m not sure if they really were or not. Maybe they were and the regular prices for games are just really high! Games range from 1 – 5 credits. I think we spent about $ 35 altogether for games. It’s definitely very loud as others have mentioned, but you kind of just get used to it after awhile. It wasn’t too crowded, but I can see that it might get packed and the games can be pretty close to one another. My favorite game was the crazy air hockey! Many of the games are best with groups of 2 or 4 people. Overall, I would recommend this place on a weeknight for something different and fun with a small group or for a date.(Not a first date, since it’s so loud you have to shout most of the time.)

Service was AWFUL took over 20 minutes before a server finally came to take our drink order. Games are fun, only reason I would ever ever come back.

5 stars for the games and entertainment. Love it will come multiple times for it 1 star — Food and Service. Food is cheap for an expensive price. You are better off going to Applebees for half off appetizers. And the food did not taste good and was very greasy. The service was terrible. The girl at the front was very rude, and the waiter was slow and not attentive to our needs.

*** NOTE: This is a review for a lunch time meal and atmosphere without kids. If you bring kids or you drink while visiting, your experience and perception will likely be much different. **** Visiting for lunch with coworkers was like being in a casino, sober, in the middle of the day. If that’s your thing, you will like a lunchtime trip. However, even with an expansive menu and friendly service, it still isn’t enough to make up for the ADD overload of lights and noise, and pricey-for-what-it-is food options that I experienced. First off, after coming from an office, the noise and the lights were jarring in the middle of the day. There where were kids there at the time, but most were contained to the game area, so we didn’t deal with too many little ones running around. Maybe it’s just me, but without kids in tow and without drinks in me, I didn’t have much interest in playing the games. I was told that the quesadillas are really good and two people ordered that at our table, but I ordered the steak salad instead. I was warned by a fellow table member that the service is incredibly slow, however, on our trip, our food arrived quickly enough and our server was on the call with drinks and refills. My salad was tasty and large in size. I was impressed that my steak was cooked to order too. My meal, with tip, came to about $ 17. Although the salad was good(on the food level of TGIF or Applebee’s type food), I don’t know if my experience was worth it. When I visited for their soft opening and partook in the sampling of several of their menu and cocktail items I was surprised to see that they didn’t just offer pizza and Coors Light. In fact, the food and drinks weren’t half bad then. My elevated perception of their food from that soft opening was probably what led me to agree to lunch this past week. What I should’ve remembered is that my samples were free, and now that I’m paying for it, it isn’t what I thought.

This place really has it all! Good food, drinks, and arcade games. The staff has been really awesome on one occasion, but the other not so much– so I haven’t established an opinion on the service yet. I will say that the drinks are really not too expensive, the games are moderately priced(but will eat away at your money if you aren’t careful,) and the atmosphere is great for groups. An adult arcade with food and alcohol can’t really go too wrong. It’s worth the time to have fun here.

Update below after visiting a second time, service was MUCH better this time around. I’ve been wanting to visit a Dave and Busters for quite some time after hearing about how great they are. We went to D&B’s with a party of about twelve. It took a ridiculously long time to get our meals. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak that took a little over an hour to get to me, and one of the other people in our party ended up waiting about an hour and a half before his food arrived. I received my first beverage shortly after arriving and didn’t receive a refill until just before my food came out. Not really sure what the heck was going on, but the overall service was poor. Thankfully, my meal and the other person who had to wait an extremely long time were comped. After our meal we headed over to play some games… I thought the restaurant side was very noisy, but it didn’t compare to the video game side. It was crazy loud! The games are so close together that you have a tough time hearing the game your playing, it all blends in to overload your aural senses. I could only handle about 20 minutes before I had to get out of there. My wife and son stayed for another hour or so and said when they left, it felt like the same feeling after you leave a concert. The only good thing I can say is that the Philly cheesesteak was pretty good, it saved D&B’s from getting a one star review. No desire to go back here, thoroughly disappointed. If you can forego the absence of adult beverages, Craig’s Cruisers puts this place to shame when it comes to overall fun and value. Update 7÷24÷2015: My family was invited to D&B to celebrate a birthday, it was another decent size group — just shy of 20 people. I was very hesitant to go back after the last experience a few weeks ago, but this was a special occasion. It was another Friday evening at about 5:30pm. The interesting thing this time was that it was a lot less busy, maybe the new ness has worn off already. This visit compared to last time was like night and day. We were seated promptly, drinks were delivered quickly, and the food came out fast and hot. Because of the large party we had, there were two servers that took care of us. Our server, Jenni, did a fantastic job, if the review was solely on her during the last visit, this would be a 5-star review. But, I’m averaging this out, and frankly, I still have a couple of issues with D&B’s. As for the food, I went with the Philly cheesesteak again. It was pretty darn good last time, and it did not disappoint the second time around. My wife was happy with the chicken fingers that she ordered and my daughter was impressed with her sirloin steak. My son decided to try the half-pound footlong wagyu beef hotdog that’s topped with chili, cheese, onions, and Fritos. Being 12 years old, he didn’t realize that this isn’t your typical type of hot dog — it’s more like a sausage in that it has a casing/skin that has a snap when you bite into it. That grossed him out to the point where he didn’t eat the hot dog, but ate all of the toppings. One of the people at our table offered to give him $ 25 to finish it and he wouldn’t do it. I was a little disappointed considering that’s a $ 13 hot dog! Oh well, you win some, you lose some. That leads me back to my initial review though, when it comes down to it, I believe D&B’s is just too expensive. I also find it ridiculous to pay a $ 2 new card fee for the«privilege» to play the already overpriced video games.

This is your typical Dave & Busters — part restaurant, part bar, and mostly cacophony-ous arcade. First off — if you plan on eating there — eat first. There are food«combos» that can get you discounted play credits. However, eating there IS expensive. The food is decent, however. I can’t really comment on the bar, not being a drinker. The arcade is noisy — so much so that it actually is almost a physical relief to walk outside or into the restaurant(though the latter only dulls the noise.) They have a lot of games — some of which are classics that give you tickets you can turn in for prizes, some are super-sized flash games from Facebook.(Do we need an 8 foot tall game of Candy Crush?) You charge up a ‘Power Card” with money(«credits») and swipe everywhere you want to play and it charges you the amount shown. Pretty easy. There are«Recharge Stations» around the arcade floor. Overall, a decent place and I would expect teenagers would enjoy the heck out of it. But don’t be that family that had the newborn and let it scream it’s head off for 20 minutes in the noise — not cool

Fun place to come and play games. I like that under 21 has to leave at 11. The drinks were good and the apitizers were good. We had the tots. Dinner however was a different story. My husband was super excited for the food. The food looks awesome on the menu. However the food lacked in flavor. He got the rib and Mac stack. Which is grilled cheese sandwich with Mac and cheese and ribs. He said all he could tast was butter. The ribs had no flavor and the mac and cheese was dry. I got the bacon madalions with shrimp skewer. The shrimp had no seasoning, and no flavor. The steak tasted like liquid smoke. The potatos had no seasoning and tasted like potatos. Just potatos. I was really disappointed with the food. Next time I will eat before I come to play games. Save the money for booze and games ;)

Our first experience at a Dave & Busters. Mom(me), Dad, brother(13), and lil sis(2.5). We opted for the eat & play menu. My son & I both had a chicken & rice dish that came with broccoli. It was good. Not great. The broccoli was boring. Salt & pepper made it better. Lil sis got chicken fingers & fries. Hers came out first(yesss!) And it was good! Dad got the shrimp. It was very good. I tried a Strawberry Watermelon Margarita… Delicious. Really! I was able to take my drink on the game floor– bonus. The 3 of us each got $ 20 on our gameplay card. It was plenty! We had a blast. Not really any games for lil sis but we didn’t expect there to be! Our waitress was wonderful. Fast & very friendly & helpful. We will come again. Not an everyday place but a special occasion or just for fun place!
