Sadly our experience is greasy. The staff really tries hard so revive is great but the food is just so, so.

Worst Cracker Barrel I’ve ever visited. Not very friendly, dirty table, menus stuck together, slow service. Help wanted sign at the door.

Cracker Barrel has so many of the best servers in town. Ask for Ashleigh, Ross, Rachel, LeAnn, Chelsea, Meghan, Autumn, Keri, Carrie, Josh, Thomas, Aderian just to name a few. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. The portions are so bi that you’ll even have enough left over for lunch tomorrow. Don’t forget to shop around the retail store. They have something for everyone and they even have a clearance corner.

The atmosphere is good, a little noisy when busy, but otherwise it is very pleasant. Waiting time for the food: They said it would be a while because it wasn’t ready yet, however, the wait time was surprisingly faster than expected. Staff was very nice and responsive. I ordered the Broccoli Cheddar Chicken with Hashbrown Casserole and Green Beans. The chicken was superb, after the first two bites of gristle/fat that is, their green beans are my favorite green beans in town, the hashbrown casserole is very good — a smidge dry this time though. Overall, it was a great meal.

The staff was nice, but they were out of 2 thinks that I wanted to order. What I got instead was good, just not what I was wanting. Not many choices in Kerville so we will probably go back.

You hear the stories on how great Cracker Barrel is. I work in Kerrville and live in Calif. The Kerrville location is not one of those«Great» restaurants. I’ve given this location several tries, in hopes of having at least one good experience. Lunch, breakfast, and dinner. At least 5 visits, and not one was good. The service isn’t very good, but the food is sure terrible! No kidding though, try McDonalds better. Corporate needs to really wake up and smell the roses when it comes to the Kerrville location. Never again will I try this place.

Took my kids last night. HORRIBLE! Never got biscuits or cornbread, my daughter’s chicken fried steak was raw, not undercooked, raw. Mashed potatoes were crunchy because potatoes were not cook thru. Gravy was lumpy and cold, my chicken tasted funny. Was offered free deserts but after 20 minutes never brought them to us. I complained to cashier who could not have cared less. Called this morning to talk to a manager about getting my money back. Still waiting to hear from him.

Filthiest bathroom I’ve been in. We were on the road with some nasty winter weather and wanted to just sit down, relax and not have fast food. Food was ok, waiter was fine and when we were getting ready to leave, stopped to us the facilities. The women’s bathroom was awful. Paper towels all over the floor, garbage in the stalls themselves, no tp. Upon leaving I was going to mention this to the manager(to my memory, the other CB’s bathrooms have never been like this), but he was so busy chatting to a female employee about social stuff, I was ignored. If the health department came in for an unannounced inspection this establishment would probably heavily fined.

One of our worst Cracker Barrel experiences. Did not see our waitress for 10 minutes after being seated. Moved to another table in a section that appeared to have more servers. Our order was taken however no drinks were brought out for another 10 minutes. We left due to extreme lack of service. Hopefully this is a singularly bad experience.

Just had breakfast at cracker barrel in kerrville tx. It was a very disappointing experience. We were a group of three adults and three children and were sitted in the back right next to the kitchen door. I pointed out to the waitress that we would be on the way and she insisted that was not an issue. Of course that wad an issue and we had to eat while the kitchen door would open and close every 5 seconds behind our chairs. Not to mention there were plenty of tables available and away from the kitchen. The coffee was just tinted warm water and the southwest scramble was disgusting. Never again.

We are on our way to Fort Stockton and stopped to eat something other than fast good. We had a group of seven. We were told numerous times that they were waiting for a table to clear. Even after we told them we did not all have to sit together we still wait for 25 minutes. I don’t know if I was more upset that we keep seeing groups of 2, 3, 4, and 5 go ahead of us without any wait or the fact that the staff was shocked when I told them we are leaving. If I get that bad of service before I sit down. I hate to think how the rest of dinner would have been.

This has to be one of the best Cracker Barrels I’ve been to. I had the rainbow trout and it was so delicious! We also had a great sever named Joshua! We are traveling from out of town but we will be back!

Stopped here 2 days ago. Slow service food not up to usual Cracker Barrel standards. Tonight, in a hurry, restaurant slow. No service. Spoke to manager. After 5 minutes left. No hi we’ll be with you, nothing. Poorly managed. Unusual for a Cracker Barrel. Don’t go, you will not be disappointed.

I haven’t been to a Cracker Barrel in the last few years and I find myself suddenly bestowed with a gift card, on a work trip and hungry for«home-style» cooking. Lo and behold it’s the same quality and service(not to mention décor) that we Americans have come to know and love. I appreciate the health minded options that have been added and the suggestions from the waitress were spot on(lemon trout). Anyway, the place isn’t 4-star worthy and primarily because it’s a national chain but the nostalgia that arises through the flavors and atmosphere just take you back home.

Good food and good waitstaff. We were in and out in a hour, which was a perfect break during an 8 hour drive. I love Sunday’s home style chicken.

Came all the way down to TX for good ‘olé country cooking at Cracker Barrel and was quite disappointed :-(I’ve eaten at various Cracker Barrel throughout the US and this was my least favorite experience. Hopefully, this was just a one off experience. I ordered the grilled chicken tenderloin. Description from the menu said six tenderloins with three sides. So, I figured I would be very satisfied w/plain grilled vs the smothered one with bacon and cheese. I know, what was I thinking, right? My health, I guess. Ok, I digress. So, my plate comes out and they have got to be the smallest, most minuscule-sized chicken tenderloins I’ve ever seen. I believe one was smaller than the size of my pinky finger. I would have been fine with the size had it been moist, tender and juicy. Well, it was none of the above. It was dry, flat and almost burnt. The best dish was the fried catfish. It was tender and juicy. Lucky bastard! I was able to steal a few bites ;-) Ok, he offered me some from his plate b/c he had pity on me when I couldn’t or wouldn’t finish 6 chicken nugget-sized pieces of tenderloin. As for the breakfast, the friend said she liked it but the ham was tough and dry but tasty. The free biscuits and cornbread usually can offset any mediocre to subpar food and it did; hence the 3 stars and not 2. Will I be back to Cracker Barrel? Yes! Any time soon? No!
