I’ve lived in Kew Gardens a long time and ordered from them for years and never has a problem. Today they completely screwed up my order this time. They gave me regular broccoli instead of broccoli with garlic sauce like I ordered and then when I ordered 3 orders of steamed wontons they gave me 3 little containers with only 5 in each order! What a rip off! When I called to complain they seemed confused and didn’t offer to fix their mistake.

The prior owners were so nice and made over all pretty good Chinese. It’s been a while since I been here due to the new owners so I can remember when the change happen. I now go to another place down the street that takes less 10 delivery. This place is close but not worth the hassle of bland food.

Tried this place a few times and wanted to give it a fair rating. 1 star is too much for the horrible customer service and lackluster food. The owners are very cheap as they only put a little bit of meat and a ton of vegetables in every dish. Food lacks flavor altogether, from the fried American fare to the typical Chinese combo plates. Owners treat you like you’re just another order, not an actual customer who paid for their food. 3 times is not a charm for this place, as this being my 3rd and last time ever ordering from here. I’ll stick to Golden Fountain. As busy as they are, they never disappoint. So much for wanting to try something new.

Best Chinese in Kew Gardens! Delicious and super fast! 15 min for pickup max! Get the crab ragoons and chicken and eggplant.

Taystee Garden has been my go to Chinese delivery place since I moved to the area in 2010. I usually get the General Tso chicken and the vegetable fried rice. My wife gets the vegetable lo mein and the hunan shrimp. We also sometimes get the crab rangoon. The General Tso chicken is decent and dependable. The chicken is not too dry or too chewy. It comes with white rice which mixes well with the sauce. The vegetable fried rice is decent as well, but its nothing to write home about. My wife says that the lo mein is also dependable but not extraordinary. The shrimp no the hunan shrimp is not overcooked which is nice. The crab rangoon is good, but could be crispier. I ordered the teriyaki beef on a stick once and it was undercooked and chewy so I would not recommend that. Otherwise Taystee Garden is a dependable place for Chinese food, but don’t expect to be wowed like you would at some place on Mott street. They take credit cards and they have canned soda. They have an indoor area that you can sit and eat at, but I’m not sure if it gets much use. Everyone who works there is nice and they are not pushy.

We go to Taystee Gardens more than I’d like to admit, because it’s open late and reliably decent. The owners are really nice and hard working and deserve an extra shout out. Our go-to dish is home style bean curd with mixed vegetables. The fried veggie dumplings and sesame noodles are also good. Throw in some brown rice and you’re in business.

Decent dumplings and wontons for a take out rest! Pleasantly surprised by the fresh quality and just the right ratio of filling to wrap. Combo meals r typical of takeout rest — greasy but filling. Lots of food. The service was fine and we enjoyed this. It’ll b a good go to for local Chinese takeout.

Love this place! Great food. Their combination platter is such a good deal and they give you so much food that I find it can be stretched into two meals. They also set the record for the fastest I’ve ever gotten a food delivery, since they once delivered my food in 13 minutes. Definitely my go-to Chinese food place.

This is our go-to Chinese take out place. All the dishes we’ve tried have been good. And we’ve been coming here for years. It’s good Chinese, and they’re prompt with their deliveries. We pretty much don’t deviate any more. I mean, once you’ve found something good, why mess with it?

Gross. Everything was oily, and had too much breading. Even the plain white rice wasn’t good. Disappointing…

This is one of the better take-out places in Queens! To start off, I must compliment Taystee Garden for not soaking all of their food in MSG, since I rarely get thirsty after eating my meals there. I can’t remember how many times I felt like there was a piece of sandpaper stuck in my throat after eating take out. A few of my favorite dishes are beef broccoli, honey spare ribs, and shrimp lomein. The beef from most of their dishes are very tender, since they probably marinated in some type of sauce beforehand. This is a huge plus because some places simply add a lot of spice and MSG for flavor. If you love meat and especially ribs, you have to try their honey spare ribs! The ribs are extremely juicy, and they actually HAVE meat on it, not just a bunch of bones with nothing for you to bite off from! The sweet honey barbecue sauce(not the yellow stuff) is marinated into every fiber of the rib, and as you sink your teeth into the meat, the juicy flavors just explode into your mouth! The place is pretty big for a take-out place, with a couple of tables and chairs. If you come in a group of 4, there’s definitely enough room to fit all of you in one table. If you take the E or F train, just get off at Union Tpke and walk along Lefferts Blvd. However, if you are driving, it might be a bit hard for you to find a place to park. Anyway, you can always place an order, if you don’t live too far away! What’s my favorite part? A handful of free fortune cookies!!!

Best Take-Out Chinese in Queens. Tastee Garden has your typical take-out Chinese food menu. But they are all very friendly, and the food always taste.

I got tired of my old chinese place so I’ve been ordering here as of late. I like the food pretty much. Tonight is the last time, this is the 3rd time my order has been wrong. It is annoying and disappointing to be craving something all day and then getting your order and it is the complete opposite of what you wanted.

I order from here often. Everyone is always VERY friendly. The food is inconsistent though. Sometimes it is perfect, and other times you get something overcooked. Overall though, very good Chinese food

This place is alright. We’ve never stayed to eat in the restaurant, because it’s mostly a delivery joint. The food is decent. Really, it’s a good option when we get home late and don’t feel like cooking. Standard Chinese takeout. I wouldn’t suggest it for a special evening or as a destination. If you don’t feel like spending a lot of money and want something that hits the spot, this place works. They’re not great with details — we’ve often gotten the wrong kind of rice despite being very specific about it. But that’s not a huge deal. It’s our preferred Chinese restaurant in the ‘hood. Slightly annoying they don’t take credit cards, but not the end of the world.

This seems to be a family owned business. The chef doubles as the delivery man. Sometimes I pick up my food, sometimes I have ‘em delivered. When I get the food delivered, it’s longer than other Chinese takeout places due to the fact that the chef has to make all his food before making his rounds. Their food is OK, but not the best Chinese takeout(well, that’s an oxymoron).
