Stumbled upon Key Bites this morning 06-18-2016 Happy Father’s Day. Service and food was awesome. They accommodate all 14 of us. Great way to start the morning. Stress free :)

Been here a few times and it’s always great !! Good service and awesome food. Last night I had the clam chowder soup since it was one of the souls of the day. Oh man best clam chowder I have ate in a long time.

I love this place! Haven’t tried a dish I don’t like. Their fish basket is amazing, it tastes so fresh. The portions are large. The Hibachi is delicious. I definitely recommend this place.

Love this place! My family had originally visited with extended family about 2 weeks ago and they couldn’t stop raving over the fried conch. I actually came in Sunday night and tried their Stuffed Hogfish-tonight we are back for the conch and the blue crab chowder! The meals have all been very fresh, delicious, and generous portion sizes. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Be sure to stop by if you are in the area.

In the keys, restaurants often promote themselves as the«place where the locals eat.» Keysbites doesn’t promote it but it definitely is where the locals eat, and with good reason. We stumbled on this place since it shares a parking lot with Mrs. Mac’s. We noticed as we pulled in that Keysbites had about 20 cars in their lot and Mrs. Mac’s maybe 5 or 6 cars. So we took a chance and had one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had, and I’ve eaten many(as well as owning breakfast restaurants for several years). The skillets are beyond excellent, and portions generous to say the least. Back to the locals, it seemed to me that at least 80% of the customers were locals, and seemed to be regulars. Service is typical diner, don’t expect a lot of enthusiasm but it was okay. But all in all, a great place to go.

This was good food at good prices. Particularly for eating out in the Keys. Many locals came in at lunch time.

Best food in Key Largo very reasonable and everything is fresh. Enchiladas are my favorite and the breakfast chiliqueiles are great.

Solid, basic omelet breakfast. Good value. They have the pink coffee sweetener that I like. Casual open seating area. Not too loud. The wait staff were busy and a bit slow, but friendly and they shared the workload well. Location and parking is easy.

Ordered two different mahi-mahi plates. Not edible. Tried to at least eat the tortillas but the tacos were too soggy. The cook was having a terrible day. Ate the fries and asked for the check. Very embarrassed waitress told me that she would not charge me for the meal with the hopes that we would return. She gets the one star. I was told by my companion that the AC vent over our heads was full of mold.

Excellent food at very reasonable prices. Salsa verde was very good and they give me a bunch on the side because I can basically drink it straight. Service was very good and efficient and staff was super friendly. Highly recommended.

It’s okay. Better breakfast options in the area especially if you’re just driving through. If you do find yourself here, have the egg dishes. The skillet. The Mexican dishes. Omelettes. The Pecan pancakes were lackluster. Service is ok. They seem nice but slightly bored.

After a few disappointing places this one was so average it was above par. Lol, seriously though, it was one of the best breakfasts we had and still wasn’t great. When I say over medium — well for my eggs and I get eggs that have the whites not cooked all the way, I really want to throw the eggs back at the chef. I used to be a breakfast cook, so I know I’m tougher than most but it’s not that hard to learn the egg temps, get a system down and get them right every time. I sent them back. My new eggs’ whites were cooked but yolk totally runny. *sigh* My french toast was cold. My mom loved her pancakes and her bacon was good. Coffee was good. Service was good. Atmosphere and location… meh. ***update I have gone here for lunch and dinner a few times and have been pleased each time. There is quite a bit of selection! Daily specials, burritos, burgers, salads, geasey fried food baskets. Something for everyone!

Sadly disappointed. Called ahead for a to go order. Girl on the phone was very polite and helpful. However what I received was not well made. First the conch fritters and fried calamari were good. Although very little quantity for what they charge. The positive notes end there. I also ordered a churasco meal and scallops meal. Worst I’ve ever had. The churasco was cold and flavorless; with no seasoning worst I’ve eaten. The scallops barely were edible.

This place rocks! Family owned place. Do not miss this little gem in the keys. This is amazing and the type of place that the keys needed. The staff is super nice and friendly. I will be back for lunch.

Very good breakfast burrito. One of the best I have had. My wife had juevo sancheros and loved it. Service was great, food came fast hot and perfectly cooked. I can see why this place gets the great reviews.

Decent little lunch stop, with reasonable prices in Key Largo. The menu is crazy large and I mean like, it takes half an hour to pick something. It’s in an old fast food restaurant building. Décor isn’t much to speak of, but seems to be a hit with the locals.

Wait at mrs max’s was too long so went here by accident and so glad we did! Authentic Mexican. Chips and salsa were made there and warm… salsa was chopped and tasty! Meal of fish tacos were perfect and reasonably priced compared to other places on island. Nothing fancy but a wonderful surprise!

Ahh Keys Bite! Thoroughly thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. Was spending the day in Key Largo and this was probably the only non-seafood option for a couple miles stretch. Couldn’t have been more pleased with the service we encountered here. The waitress made sure we were very well taken care of and made excellent accomodations for our vegetarian companions. A batch of sizzling chicken fajitas and chilly enchiladas made it to our table, along with a Mediterranean salad straight from the Aegean Sea. The fajitas were accompanied by an excellent ensemble of vegetables(onions, green peoppers, lettuce, rice & black beans). Need we not forget to mention the excellent décor here. Upon entrance, you will feel like you walked into a Mexican dreamland with beautiful colored beachside paintings on the wall. Hats off for having some terrificly festive Christmas decorations as well. In short: loved the service, loved the food, and loved the ambiance. We’ll be back here in no time!
