Great shop to stop and shop around when passing through. They have a huge Keys chair out front that we stop and take picture of our kids in every year.

My husband says he’s never been to a better shell place in his life! I have to say that I was very pleased also with the wide selection of items they had for sale. There was a wide range of items at either end of the price spectrum. Definitely a must see if you are driving through the Keys. We found the place whimsical. And the staff was also a delight!

This place is huge! If there is something that you want to buy in Key Largo and they don’t have it then it doesn’t exist!

Ah shell world! First stop in the keys, usually for a soda and a bathroom! They have some awesome stuff for your home made of shells(no kidding?) Kitschy souveniers that say key west or key largo. Friendly employees. It’s become a tradition for us, and we always find something to buy!

DONOTBEFOOLED by the name or the resemblance to a tacky gift shop! Shell World has an amazing selection of chic and beautiful things for the home… Most of their inventory is island and keys inspired, but can easily be put in an elegant or contemporary home. I always make a point to stop in when I’m in the Keys an I always find something new! In my last trip, I found a beautiful wooden tray, some gorgeous serving utensils(cheese knives, salad utensils, etc), chargers for dinner setting, and so much more. Their selection of body lotions and scented candles is also impressive. Some brands are the ones available in many shops, but some I have never seen before! The prices are mixed. Some things are extremely affordable and others are moderate, but definitely never ever overly expensive! I highly recommend Shell World as a shopping stop in any Keys trip!!!

Good selection of souvenirs. Customer service was very bad. I was treated rudely, and so were the tourists with me. So, if you can get beyond rude service… fine, otherwise, there are many other places to shop.

Shell World is always my first stop after crossing Lake Surprise and turning onto Key Largo. You’ll find this massive retail outlet at MM106 just as the road bends around to the right, and you start your drive through the Keys. Yes, this place is a little touristy, but it has an incredible selection of shells for sale, and shell-inspired artwork and gifts. This is the place to come for your friends who want a conch shell to put on their bookcase, or a handful of colorful shells to fill a glass bowl on the coffee table. My sister and my nieces usually have a shopping list for me every time that I visit the Keys, and so a stop at Shell World is in order. This is one of the largest shell shops that you’ll find in the Keys, and once you walk past all of the t-shirts, shell jewelry, and little gimmicky tourist thingies you’ll find a surprisingly excellent quality of sea shells from around the world. I always enjoy browsing through the shell display areas and looking for something different to add to the collection in the big glass bowl on my coffee table. Over the years I have found nautical wood carvings, lamps with the base made from clear glass jars that I can fill with shells, a shell wreath to use as a wall hanging, and countless unique shells to display around my home. They will wrap your purchases in newspaper and bubble wrap, and even box them up for shipping. Expect to pay for this incredible selection of shells.

This place was surprisingly neat. Big, open space on your way out(or into) Key Largo. Lots of random stuff… including shells, shirts, decorations, maps, etc. We were just looking to waste a little time before dinner, but found ourselves wandering around for a while. Prices are not bad at all. The lady working was super nice and attentive. There are a couple of cats living there that were also pretty entertaining, haha.

So we were at Shell World and I bought a bunch of stuff on our way to the keys. I brought it all back to CA and realized… everyone loved it so much that I needed more. So I called them and ordered a few more things and they mailed it to me. All so well wrapped and not one single shell was broken. Pretty good !!!

If you’ve been to one shell shop, you’ve pretty much been to them all. Shell World is a chain and this one seems to be maybe a little bit bigger than the other ones we saw in the keys. Full of little trinkets and decorations themed to more than just Key Largo, it’s a fun shop to browse for a little while. The place is kept clean and the staff is friendly enough for a couple of people who seem like they just hang out behind the register all day.
