One of the final stops on our bar hop down Duval, this place was pretty cool given that it was pretty empty at the time of day we went. We missed most of the day-drinking Spring Break crew, who happened to be working their way down the strip in the opposite direction as us. But it was too early in the evening(around 5) for us to really see how this place would come alive at night. I have a feeling that this is one of those staple places where people come to get a little rowdy and try to bump and grind while in Key West. There’s a pretty big dance floor from what I could see and the one balcony area overlooked another bar for some decent people watching if you’re so inclined. The drinks we had weren’t horrifically expensive from what I remember in my inebriated state, and when your BF’s mom orders a Long Island, you know that it’s been a good day. The margs we had were nice and salty which is just how I like mine, not sticky sweet. Perfect. Service could have been a tad bit quicker but then again there was one bartender upstairs at the time and she was working her little tailfeathers off, so I can’t complain too much. We will be back in Key West next month sans parents and will make sure to revisit this place in all its midnight glory.

The tree bar is one of our main stops when in key west. It’s on Duval across from the lazy gecko if you blink you will miss it. It is literally under a large tree and has 7 or so bar stools. The best people watching ever!!! The reason we love this place is the bartenders are really friendly and the screwdrivers are amazzzzzin! They use an old fashioned juice press for the OJ. Something in those Florida oranges makes your tastebuds cha cha!

The bartender was super nice to us and recommended their freshly squeezed grapefruit juice. We ended up getting vodka with the grapefruit and it was amazing! Really tasty and a good pour. Worth a visit.

Gotta love Ricks, a key west staple and key west tree top is a bar to go to and have a solid drink on any bar hop.

Hung out for a few beers after one of the ghost tours. Bartender(Marty?) was cool and friendly. The bar is just off the street and has a cozy, intimate feel. Great people-watching spit. Would recommend for kicked back, low-key drinks.

Well most of my disappointment came from being told there was a bar in a treehouse and when I found the bar it was just a bar in front of a tree with a small replica of a tree house in it. So we ventured across the street to the irish bar which was great

Decent bar for outdoor partying and people watching. 007 is a good drink with fresh squeezed OJ. Would get more stars from me if it didn’t suffer the unfortunate circumstance of being across the street from one of the best bar’s in America. Check out Bert’s Bar for a lower cost alternative and equally prime location.

i have NEVER written a review but the service i received today was HORRIBLE. I love the place but the bartender Barb was the rudest bartender EVER. I am a local and a bartender. i ordered a drink then 3 of her friends walked up and she made theirs first!!! I was alone and tried to join in the conversation and she turned and looked at me with daggers like«who are you».i have spoken to friends about this and they all said she gets tons of complaints even from Marks friends

We occupied the corner for a while. They freshly squeeze the OJ for your screwdriver. The TV had TLC on, which is random for a Saturday night on Duval. Worst place to watch birth stories. Note: They don’t take American Express!

Thought the Rick’s Tree Bar might be a cool place to stop for a drink. It might be a good place if you’re drunk, or just looking to drink, but be prepared for lousy service from the bar. Cap it off with bar tender attitude as he must’ve been close to the end of his shift and he was ready to go home(which it turns out he was.) The only places to sit are tables from the pizza joint which we had to clear and clean our selves. Sorry we actually stayed to buy 1 drink.

When I think of RICK’s I reminisce about my college days grinding the night away with some random chick that is there on spring break or a bachelorette party. However, this review is not for dry humping RICK’s it’s for the small bar downstairs across from the pizza counter. My buds told me they make a mean Bloody Mary here. Sure whatever, just like every place in the Keys makes a great Key Lime pie. Anyway, we stopped by on their insistence. My first impression was not good — the crotchety bar keep wouldn’t change the channel on the TV for my friend. She also almost seemed annoyed once we put our order in. However, what she did was make the best damn Bloody Mary I’ve had in Key West. It had such a savory flavor I can’t even explain. There was a large pickle slice in it that the bartender said was not for eating but for flavor garnish only. Of course I ate it anyway and it was delicious having soaked up the booze and mix. Apparently everyone knew about this but me. Even the Key West tour train driver stopped by to say hi and mentioned the kick ass Bloody marys. So if you are looking to do some day drinking or just to «hair the dog», this little bar is just the place to do the trick.

Good Rum Punches! Its outdoors so if you were looking feel the hot summer sun while drinking an ice cold rum punch, this is the place for you. If you melt in the hot humid weather, you might need to go elsewhere. The bartender was sweet as pie and the décor is awesome. Take advantage of the fountain in the back. It should make for some«interesting» photos.
