Give your wallet a pep talk before heading to The Atlantic Room, however, it should already know food is going to be quite pricey after experiencing Kiawah Island Resort in general. If it’s amazingly delicious food, the price cancels out, right? When we arrived at the Atlantic Room, we were blown away by its beauty. We were seated in the bar(as the main dining room was full), but I saw this as a huge benefit because we got the choice of ordering off BOTH the bar and dining room menus, thus more delicious selections to choose from! I orders a Greek Salad with a piece of salmon to start and the Chilean Seabass with Broccolini and Brussels Sprouts as the main course. THATSALMON. Oh that salmon. It melted in my mouth. I impressively kept my foodgasmic moans and groans to myself, as I was trying hard to keep it classy(I even wore a dress), but man was it hard. The Chilean Seabass dulled my moas and groans though for it wasn’t as AMAZING as it could be, I actually wish I ordered the salmon AGAIN as my main dish. Luckily, the person sitting to my right, couldn’t finish her portion so she gave me what was left of her meal and the foodgasm returned! All other food ordered: Burger, Swordfish, Fried Oysters, Salmon and of course the drinks, all pretty spot on, although our waitress said the burger was absolutely mind blowing, however, I was told otherwise… But then again, that water is crazy picky! He did however love the Brussels Sprouts that accompanied my Sea Bass. I’m thrilled we ate at The Atlantic Room + Bar, it was definitely tasty SC seafood, exactly what we wanted, however, I’m sure we will be able to find just as tasty seafood for ½ the price… But we will have to leave the resort, which is slightly hard to do, thanks with it being stunningly beautiful and a MAZE to get around– perhaps that’s why they made this place like a maze, so we NEVERLEAVE and spend all our money here! Ha! I’m onto you Kiawah Resort!

Location is amazing and really worth the trip to the end of the island. Be sure to keep your eyes open for the beautiful homes along the way! I had the sea bass and it was fresh. The mixed green salad was tasty with fresh ingredients. The Pinot noir recommended was fair. The bourbon on the porch after dinner with the Mexican chocolate mouse was divine! My mom had to wait a very long time for tea and then even longer for cream and sugar. The short stroll(after the bourbon) on the putting green, sound of crashing waves, was the best part.

Amazing atmosphere, gorgeous scenery around. The food was superb with a ceviche and a goat cheese to start, then sea bass and a deckle. Simply awesome. The deckle fell apart in my mouth it was so tender and delicious. Best meal I’ve had in a long time

Best food, best service, best view, we can’t say enough. When friends come to visit us here in Kiawah, we always take them here, never disappointed!

The concierge told us that most of the restaurants here are booked so he made a reservation for us at the Atlantic Room. The place has a wonderful ambiance and server & other staff wer on point. Just disappointed about the taste of food. We ordered Lobster & Crab Pad Thai. Frankly, I had better at Vietnamese resto with reasonable price. The short rib was tender and mashed potato & gravy was really tasty… so no complaint about it’s quality. For me, the meal is overpriced $ 39 + tax for Pad Thai… but then again I guess you’re paying for the name of the restaurant. For those big spender, this is the place for you… it really has a pretty nice view :)

We were very disappointed. The restaurant was very noisy. The food was extremely salty and of poor quality.

Came here for a special family reunion dinner. The view is outstanding, but that’s all I can be positive about. The room noise was terrible. Even as the dinning room emptied out, it was loud!!! The room is so dimly lit, you can’t see your food well(I wonder if that is on purpose). The service was fine. The food was bland, over salted, small portions and over-priced. I had the Crab soup and stuffed lobster – I don’t recommend either. The shrimp appetizer was good, the highlight of the meal. For a World Class location, I’m sorely disappointed.

The food is always excellent. My wife loved her steak and the wreckfish was outstanding. By far my wife’s favorite though is the crispy shrimp app. she would not even share.

Grabbed a bite in the bar area — the bar menu has a decent selection of small plates. I asked if I could order off the restaurant’s dinner menu since it looked like other patrons had more substantial food, but I was told they couldn’t do that. They said they had a couple of specials, I ordered one, which was mahi mahi. I was expecting a fairly small portion since they said they couldn’t serve me «dinner», and while it was more of an entrée size, it was also a colossal ripoff at $ 37(the bar menu items were in the $ 10 – 20 range). Admittedly, I didn’t ask for clarification(whether it was a starter size or entrée), but I’m more than happy to pay for great food and this dish wasn’t worth the price tag(high $ 20’s would have been more like it). It was good, but not that good. I would have rather had the shrimp my friend ordered, which was tasty, a good size portion and a reasonable $ 12. Service was okay(took a while for someone to take our order), but the view is nice.

Wow, i am shocked this place didn’t have more reviews. This was the happening spot on the island while we stayed here. Great location, views, etc. It is a clubhouse of a dank course, but seafood was excellent, and service outstanding. Wife had tile fish, and I had bouillabaisse, which was outstanding for a bruh from the midwest. Excellent after dinner cocktails, while got some photos with with upcome pga championship

This is more a review of the bar area of the restaurant. The whole place is beautiful, with amazing views of the ocean and porches with lounge chairs and tables so you can go outside. Inside, the bar has several small TVs and a huge one across from it for watching football. Solid. I have been here several times, and what stands out to me most is the price. Be careful because while delicious, the drinks are expensive and fairly small and can add up very quickly. Also, the service is VERY slow. Not the place to go if you are in a rush. Now for the food: –Cheese platter: Do NOT get this. It is expensive and disappointingly sparse. There is enough cheese and bread on here for one person IFTHAT. Maybe I am a pig, but 3 of us got this to share and we were shocked and confused. –Bagger burger/Sliders: I group these together in the burger category. Both are delicious and satisfying — not much to say about burgers I guess other than they are good. –Cuban sandwich: I’ve never had this, but everyone who has seems to think they are amazing. –Fish tacos: small portion for the money, but they are actually pretty delicious. –Mahi Mahi sandwich: decent and flavorful –Lobster/crab soup: I don’t remember which kind of soup this is, but I do remember its delicious and actually served in a hefty portion. I was very pleased with this. Watch out though, it is rich and filling. With those 5 listed up there I have probably just described over half the bar menu — it is very limited. But with the good drinks and amazing views it is worth going to at least once. I’m actually surprised I am the first to review this, because it is beautiful and often crowded. 3 stars instead of 4 because I think they could have more menu options and I’m angry about their rip-off cheese platter. More cheese!
