Firstly, Ace Hardware is one of the few, if only, places on this island to find a room divider(a/ka/shoji screen). There are more reasonably priced items online but if you prefer to buy in person, this is the only place you’ll find a new one for under $ 100. I purchased mine and it was damaged. I was able to return it hassle-free and they offered a replacement of full refund. Their customer service was spot-on and I highly recommend them. They are also super helpful if you’re looking for a particular type of bolt or screw — patiently going through all those drawers with you until you find the right(or close enough) item.

I’ve been here a few times in the past. Yesterday, I needed to cap off the waterline for my fridge. I was approached by an associate within the first minute and directed me where to go. Unfortunately, I had to wait another minute for another associate who knew more about it. I showed him pictures of what I needed capped and he picked up the items and showed me what I needed to do. I got home and tried to do it myself, even had help from maintenance to cap it off and it won’t stop leaking. Did a temporary fix and called today to see what I can do about the part. The associate that answered was very helpful and told me I could go back to the store and have it returned or get a new one even if the one that I bought yesterday is mangled from trying to tighten it. So hopefully, I can get this home repair fixed and done. Thanks Ace for your customer service and help!

We are updating our condo and have had to make many trips to Ace. Frazier especially goes above and beyond to help us. He is very creative in assisting us with our special requests and even helped pick or paint colors. The store has lots of little items we couldn’t find at Home Depot too. Highly recommend!

I recently visited this store and was amazed at the lack of customer service. I looked around for 10 minutes trying to find an employee to ask for help and when I asked the young lady at the paint department for help in another department she looked at me and giggled?! I trust this was because she is an English language learner and does not know how to communicate in English properly. When I called the store manager«Troy Taylor» to express my concern, her attitude in answering the phone was over-the-top rude… and that was before I could get a word out! I will NEVER shop at this store again… not only because of the lack of service and high prices, but also because half of the items in the store are not even marked with a price. Word gets around a small island, and with several(better) competitors in town, I don’t expect ACE Kihei to be in business much longer.
