Poor service and poorer food. Should have went to café olei. Short ribs were not tender but overcooked. My wife’s mahimahi was waaaay over cooked. They did change the menu to attract lower end clientele, good idea except the food sucked. A year ago they nailed it. Now they put a nail in their coffin. Bummer dude

Kihei Café have way too many people today, there was a freaking line from front door to the patio sitting area. When that happens, we come here. Good hotel lobby restaurant, good pancakes, good Kalua pork hash. Service is excellent. Street view only, no ocean view. Still a great place for breakfast if you are not looking for coconut syrup.

The environment is nice, food is decent, but the service is SLOW! Ordered the ham and egg omelette with hash browns. Hash browns are crispy to perfection, but the omelette was a little bland. Had to add salt for some flavor. The OJ was not freshly squeezed. But the crêpe with fresh fruit and fresh whipped cream was AWESOME…

We ate here on the last evening of our stay in Maui. We were staying in the Maui Coast so it was close by to our location. We were so disappointed with this place as the food in Maui was so good on the whole. I ordered a glass of wine which I had to send back as it was undrinkable. I think the bottle must have been opened too long. I asked for something instead. The waiter was not very friendly and quite rude really. Our food was so underwhelming. There are lots of lovely places to eat nearby so we were really sorry we spent the last night of our honeymoon dining here.

Visited on 6÷30÷2015, review from an older Unilocal acct Had Eggs Benidict. $ 15 smack a roos! $ 2 more than anyone else so far. Great food, smaller portions compared to 808 bristo & Kihei Café. Eat @ 7 am when they first open because the road noise it’s crazy with garbage trucks going by and all the workers on the island drive by. Waitresses are friendly. Having said that… the manager is a bit cranky and very Poor at customer service. No worries, won’t be going back. I only spend my local $$s where there is Aloha. All I require is a smile with Aloha

The Loco Moco I had for breakfast was absolutely great! The service was also very good. My wife’s basic egg breakfast was horrible, with hash browns that tasted like fish, bland eggs, and okay sausage, hence the down rating. A basic breakfast should be the easiest to not screw up.

We are always on the hunt for something new and when the time comes for the first meal of the day, we go on the prowl. Pictures and reviews caught our attention so we ventured out the Ami Ami’s. French themed and beautiful, we were greeted and seated promptly, always a plus. I ordered the mushroom and bacon omelette with hash browns and a side of toast. Simple, basic and good. Mr W had the poached eggs with pork hash. He seasoned his plate(which he rarely does) and said the eggs were poached perfectly. I tasted his dish and although the pork hash was good there was too much onion in the dish for me. Our experience was pleasant and the service is very attentive five stars for that but the overall breakfast was just A-Ok! For me … I am glad we tried Ami Ami’s I would go back to try a waffle oh, and they have great coffee.

Great place for food and drinks. The swordfish and New York Steak is some of the best. The Peanut butter waffle is a meal by itself. The group of 8 gives this place 5 stars.

Had dinner hear a few nights ago. The service was great even though I got here at 8:35 and they close at 9. I had the caprese salad. It looked lovely with plenty going on. However, there was way too much dressing. It was a really strong basil and garlic flavor. So much garlic I was sweating it out hours later and my breath kept the vampires away. I also had the macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi which was excellent. It came with white rice and I should have asked for mashed potatoes. The rice was over cooked. The sauce was pretty good. Id probably go here again. Maybe for breakfast next time.

Best Belgian Waffles! What a beautiful setting to eat breakfast. Owner’s of Café O Lei have another winner.

Island time service with decent atmosphere but OMG seriously dreadful food. The portion is huge, but everything is so over salted/dressed, it’s not edible. We ordered the ahi tuna and it was swimming in sauce. The short ribs was so salty it was bitter. Ugh. What a bummer!

Breakfast starts you off on every day’s adventure. The menu at ‘ami ‘ami offers fresh local Hawaiian fare. Tropical fruits and excellent eggs. Given the wide choice I had to land on an omelette as safe food for my IBS. Great choice. I went for the artichoke and tomato which had olives and feta cheese. Delicious and filling. Set me up for a day adventuring Maui. The staff were good at 10.40am and didn’t rush us at all.

This dinner was fantastic! Sit in Chelsea’s section. She’s awesome, friendly and knowledgable. Drinks were good. I had the original Mai tai. It was awesome. Drinks came in a pint glass for $ 9. Not too shabby. Mom ordered the amaretto passion which was also great. For dinner the prefix menu was a great deal(5−6p). It was a Cesar salad with creamy dressing, macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi and the mud pie which was a muse filling. Awesome. I got the mozzarella salad. It had great mozzarella, artichoke hearts, green beans, heirloom tomatoes, and a great EVOO salad. For dinner I ordered the Ono moon fish with a creamy chili sauce. It was on top of really good mashed potatoes. That’s saying a lot because mom makes the most creamy potatoes. It was served with mango salsa. Sooooo. Good. I highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back!

Nice ambience with some open air seating. I went for breakfast this morning. I had a ham and cheese omelet. It was just ok. The eggs were a bit overcooked and dry. The ham had a nice smoke flavor. Nothing really stood out to me as spectacular. I won’t get it again. My friend had the eggs Benedict. The portion was on the small side though and he was left a bit hungry. I plan to return and try the dinner menu.

Well all I can say is I wasn’t too impressed with my dinner. This place has a lovely atmosphere and had live music that was wonderful. The cocktails were nothing to write home about. We tried the truffle tator tots which were pretty tasty but I wasn’t a fan on the type of gorgonzola they used. I would probably get them again though cause I dig my truffles. I ordered the crab cake for dinner and it was a major disappointment if was just very dense and too greasy. I enjoyed Beach bums bbq crab cakes way better than these. Their menu is fun and eclectic which I always love. I do want to try their breakfast so maybe that might win me over. Fingers crossed!

I went to dinner with the intention of eating light, but the food was so good I finished my plate and ordered dessert. The beef medallions with shiitake mushroom sauce was so much better than I was expecting. The Mai Tai(passion Mai Tai I think) was possibly the best Mai Tai I’ve had in four years in Hawaii. That extra lilikoi/passion fruit juice made it fantastic! Then to be an absolute glutton on my last night in Hawaii, I ordered the lilikoi cheesecake. Soooooo good!

I was told this was a great spot and was REALLY hoping to like it! Mr. Man and I went in just for drinks and dessert after sushi. Unfortunately for us, our two drinks just didn’t cut it, they were not good enough to be had again and I had to subtract stars for them. We tried the mango mojito and the pomegranate punch cocktails. I totally believe that all food/drinks, whether or not alcoholic, should be balanced well for optimal tastebud deliciousness. Sadly, both of our cocktails were wayyyyy overpowered by not so great alcohol. I was looking for better rum than the house level ones they had at AmiAmi, and honestly for the great décor, I was expecting at least 10 Cane rum! I’m pretty sure they only had Myers(I think that was the one) but it’s poor quality really ruined an otherwise would be good drink. +1 star for GREAT service, truly awesome staff. +1 for cool and modern décor +1 for the sorbets — we tried coconut, guava and lilikoi and they were all very yummy! –2 for the super strong and unbalanced drinks. We weren’t trying to fall on the floor drunk, just enjoy a nice evening out, but unfortunately the drinks didn’t cut it. I would go back to try more food there though!

I had dinner here with my bf finally. This check in is actually our 3rd visit. Food and drinks are great here. Fish is on point. Open air seating and live music. I don’t know why this place isn’t more popular. On a side note: The hostess sucked.
