Worth five stars probably, but I’ll save that for a fancy upscale steakhouse. This place is a little out-of-the-way but they’re everything one could ask for: great food, simple menu; family-owned and a terrific chef. I’ve been there for breakfast and lunch and the food is always excellent! Plus all the amenities, like Wi-Fi and AC and a clean bathroom. What more could you ask for?

I had the cheeseburger. The burger itself was good, but the veggies that accompanied it i had problems with. The onions were Asian style onions and added a funky taste to the burger. The tomatoes were overly ripe and soggy. My mom had the Asian soup(forgot the name). She said it was pretty good but not the best she’s had on the island. The nice thing about this place is that the service is great, and quick, and the server was very friendly.

could be better, friendlier service. Nice seating, but no a/c? was a warm, muggy day. The Kahlua pork and rice was tasty, surprised no cabbage, disappointed. The chow fun was good, lots of veggies there. Could be an awesome place.

Not fast, but super friendly with good food. If you somewhere to get to this is not the place for you. However the food is very good, creative breakfast plates with friendly attentive staff. I found it a good value and would return when I am looking for a lazy breakfast with friends.

Thanksgiving was a travel day for us so we needed to find a place for lunch that was open and on the way to the airport. Blue Moon Café was one of the few places that was open on Thanksgiving, and we were very grateful for that. The place was empty, so we were quickly seated and the service was fast throughout the meal. I ordered the fish burger which was tasty but relatively standard. The bun and other ingredients tasted like they came from the local Safeway, which isn’t a bad thing, it just wasn’t anything to write home about. Overall I was happy with Blue Moon and got what I expected from it. It was a quick, solid meal with decent food and good service.

Awesome little breakfast place. Slightly off the beaten path although we found service and food to be excellent. No wait times, fast and efficient.

Second time ending up here hung over. Third time eating here total. Lovely local spot. Air conditioning. Breakfast served until 2pm on Saturday & Sunday.(Until noon mon-fri) Pancakes are thick and fluffy. Highly recommend getting them. This has become a favorite spot to lick my wounds before getting ready for the beach. Service is friendly. I see people post that it’s slow service but everything’s slow on the island and I have no complaints myself. It’s relatively punctual, even when I’m feeling famished. Just relax and it’ll al be worth it.

Pretty good breakfast at a reasonable price, but can take a while so don’t go in too hungry.

I’ve only stopped in for breakfast and it’s been hit or miss. Loco moco was alright, the burger patty was very dry. Spam eggs and rice is a hard dish to mess up so I’m happy that it came out good. Service is slow even though I’ve never seen more then 5 tables full in there. Heard good things about dinner but haven’t checked it out yet.

We came with a small group and we were really happy to have found this local place. The server was friendly and our food was really good. My husband and I ordered the All American Breakfast(2 eggs, meat, potatoes) and the Hawaiian Eggs Benedict(2 poached eggs and Portuguese sausage on Hawaiian rolls with hollandaise sauce). Both were good portions and both were very tasty. We cleaned our plates and left very satisfied.

The Banana Macadamia Nut Pancakes were absolutely outstanding! Can’t go wrong coming here for breakfast. Note: the breakfast items are NOT available all day. I recommend making your way in before 11.

Good breakfast joint. We liked it, prices were reasonable. Service was slow and it took a long time to have a quick? breakfast. The server was really sweet but there was only one of her(also one cook). They advertise free wifi but the password is so complicated, the busy server has to write it down. Will we return? Can you say banana macadamia nut pancakes? Mmmm

We ate at the Kihei Caffe yesterday along with about 50 other tourists and decided to come here today to beat the crowds. We were one of 3 groups in the entire restaurant which was much more enjoyable! I would say the quality is right on par with Kihei Caffe but without the long lines. This place of course doesn’t have the charm but if all you’re looking for is breakfast, then Blue Moon is much better for the price, quality and quickness.

Without a doubt, the Banana Macadamia Nut pancakes are the best pancakes I have ever had! They were at least an inch thick each, perfectly cooked and delicious. I had the 2-stack and couldn’t eat it all! And our waiter Ryan was also superb — friendly and helpful. Note to the owner — give Ryan a raise!

Always passed by and I finally decided to give it a try. It’s self seating. Simple atmosphere. Food is… Okay. Pancakes were dry and rubbery. Eggs were over easy. Cooked perfectly. It kinda has a blah feeling of service like no one wants to be there.

Don’t waste your money here. Waited almost an hour for our food. Not that great. Waitress was rude. We were the only people there and it took forever. Never again.

Sad this place could be so much better. Food was ok but the price was not inline with the quality. Service was poor, young inexperienced. If this place just catered to the local community in the area it would be a much better place

Blue Moon Café is the best breakfast secretsin the Kihei area. Great value for breakfast overall and you early risers have even have a deal for Breaky before 9am. Try the French Toast or Loco Moco with side of SPAM it’s heavenly. Come to where the locals dine and support local business.

Very friendly staff awaits you at this bright breakfast, lunch, and dinner spot. Stopped here for a light fare before continuing a drive during breakfast. Tried the macadamia pancakes and the Hawaiian eggs Benedict. Both were well done. Pancakes are heavy and filling, the hollandaise on the eggs Benedict was the right consistency(not watery or too thick) and tasted great. Not much on atmosphere but overall a pleasant experience. I’d give 3.5 stars if possible. Byob!
