I love that this pool is so close to home and free! The staff are very friendly. I love swimming laps with local music playing. My only complaint is that the steps out of the pool are difficult to use. They are cut midway by the lane markers so you have to negotiate around it and then take a huge step out of the pool. Difficult to use for those over 55. The lifeguard assured me she would move the lane marker so I could get out, but then there is that huge step out of the pool… Wish they had longer hours than 4:30pm. I’m a fan.

So much fun!! w/music, sprinklers, plenty of space —bring a beach chair or sit on the grass –there’s bleachers –there’s bathrooms– there’s even a beautiful kiddie pool! We love it here!

Clean, well maintained pool. The restrooms are large and have hot showers. We used it to clean up after our snorkeling trip since we had to check out of our condo earlier in the day.

I love this pool and the staff are amazing!!! David K manages this aquatic centre and you can see him running around sometimes teaching, arranging stuff to get ready for the water polo girls etc etc. He and Leighton are my swim coaches too and they are just the coolest dudes! Always smiling and welcoming. Then there’s Andrea too quite a cool lady and I don’t know the names of the rest of the staff but they’re all very nice! I do my laps in this pool and I feel so welcome here! And it’s FREE!!! I debated writing this review coz I don’t want this pool to get too many people… haha.

Free place to swim! They have a ton of space and it wasn’t busy in mid morning on a week day. They have a separate kids pool that is zero depth at one end. It has a waterfall umbrella thing, but it wasn’t working. No big deal. Another area was shallow enough for my three year old to touch. No flotation devices though.

When you are sick of the sea, this is the best place to cool off. Very clean place and to top it off its FREE! I was so shocked that it’s free. Love this place!

The perfect place to take the keiki for a swim or do a few laps before work. This is especially true on the days when the trade winds have kicked up early, or if they happen to be burning cane and you don’t want to deal with cane ash in the ocean. They offer a keiki pool that is about calf deep and has a huge water fall/fountain for cooling off in. They also have a graded pool used many for group swim and some of the smaller classes for swim instruction or water aerobics(which is offered almost daily). Lastly, they have a bisected Olympic pool with 2 dozen lanes or so, plus 3 towers for diving. The pool is regularly closed on holidays of observance for cleaning purposes as well, however, offers excellent hour of operation aside from those closures. Located next to the Kihei DMV and the Community Center, this is an excellent free community pool. Most importantly for the novice swimmers — there are always multiple life guards on duty.

Kihei Aquatic Center is a great find for anyone wanting an active day with kids without the mess of the beach. They have three pools, a large lap pool, a smaller pool, and a kiddie pool just deep enough for the toddlers to stand up and walk around unassisted.
