We tried this restaurant on the recommendation of locals. Everything about this place was great. The food was outstanding and the chef was more than accommodating as three of our four party wanted burritos which weren’t on the menu. Chef didn’t even blink an eye and produced three of the best burritos ever. One pork, one chicken and one beef! I ordered the shrimp cocktail appetizer and it was a meal in itself. Probably the best camarone cocktail i have ever had including in Mexico. The only drawbacks were the restrooms were not located in the restaurant, but rather in the mall location outside. The other bummer was three Cadillac margaritas were $ 45.

This is a great place to eat at. We went in just a little before sunset and the place was practically empty. We made it just in time for one happy hour drink. We both ordered a margarita. It was pretty good, standard, but strong! And that’s what matters! We ordered the jalapeño poppers. We should have went with the tar tar, because the jalapeños ended up being ridiculously spicy. And we LOVE spicy food. My fiancé struggled eating them, but I had a good time. The spiciness of the peppers overwhelmed the flavor for my fiancé but I very much still enjoyed them. We ate them with sauce that they came with, which helped a lot. So don’t say we didn’t warn you! For our entire we both ordered Langostino Enchiladas, which was very good. Was it the best Mexican dish I’ve had? Well, no, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that it was still good and I ate it all. It seems to be an extremely popular dish, try it out. We ended up getting the tres leches cake to-go. My fiancé loved it but I was underwhelmed. Place is clean and service is very friendly. Give it a go.

Stopped by for some chips and a drink. Lucky to find one of the best guacamole we have ever had. The jalapeño poppers were tempura covered, stuffed with shrimp and a yummy rich cheese like no other we have had. Stop by you won’t be disappointed. We are coming back for dinner for sure. For Maui excellent flavors at reasonable prices(for Maui) is hard to find

Good food, fine flavor, great, crisp chips! Service was excellent. Salsa was a little tomatoey; beans appeared homemade and almost had a sweet taste. Food was hot; rice portion cooler comparatively. Price point was high-end casual. This is a nice, sit-down restaurant. I am used to a spicier(saltier?) flavor profile for Mexican food. I grew up in immigrant communities in CA. …so. I am biased, I guess. The value IS there if you seeking service and above average Mexican cuisine on Maui. There is terrible Mexican food on Maui! So be careful. I do not typically spend $ 60/per two people for a dinner, including wine, but no apps, so keep that in mind. The wine was a good choice(Dark Horse Chard) but a bit pricey at $ 11/glass($ 3/glass on own). The food was a bit pricey — $ 16 for 3 shrimp tacos and sides. It’s not what I prefer; it’s Maui pricing I suspect. I may not return but it was a nice experience, paticularly for the service, which, I am sorry I don’t recall his name, means my server boxed up my food to go, and included FRESH chips and salsa. Thank you!

OMG!!! You have to check this place out if you love authentic, made from scratch, Mexican food! Ofir and his wife Suki(sp?) have created the most amazing restaurant experience. They are originally from Mexico city and were in search of many different places in the U.S. to open an authentic Mexican food restaurant. When they got to Maui, they circled the island, high and low and couldn’t find any really good authentic Mexican food and hence, the dream was born. Everything in the restaurant from dishes, to the tables to the chairs was brought in from Mexico. It’s artfully decorated, totally fairly priced and most importantly, the food is off the hook! My friends and I had the happy hour chicken nacho’s, chicken taco’s,(not happy hour guacomole) and margarita’s. For the amount of food and drinks we had we were all suprised when the final bill came and it was only $ 73.00. We left there stuffed and actually couldn’t even finish all the chips and salsa. Ofir(one of the owners) brought out this sauce and told us to give it a try… holy moly… it was ridiculously good! It’s made with a roasted serano pepper and roasted garlic… It’s seriously off the hook. The smokey flavors from the roasted veggies shines through and the heat from the serano is just the right amount. It’s so good, in fact, that people ask if they can buy it! So, deliver they shall. Very soon they will be bottling the sauce and allowing people to take that magnificent sauce home with them. Definitely put this place on your list of places to eat while on Maui. They only serve lunch and dinner. Happy hour is 3 – 5 every day of the week. Enjoy Amigo’s and Amiga’s!

This is one Mexican food restaurant on Maui that you need to say, «Hola!» to asap. Having lived in Mexico during college, and being a born and raised Texas native, I know good Mexican food. After my hubby and I were seated, we were given fresh salsa and chips. It was nice to have those provided with the meal for a change. And the salsa was authentic. My hubby and I ordered the queso & chorizo(delish) as an appetizer, then shared a beef fajita platter for dinner. We both left oh so happy having enjoyed a little taste from our original home. We had some extra chips, so we asked for a to-go bag. They surprised us and included a to-go container of salsa, as well. Woot! Woot! Our waiter was friendly and prompt. We will be returning.

This was my husbands & I first time eating there & what better way to try it with our amazing Maui Unilocal Group =) The tables & chairs were pretty big where it made the place look kinda small inside. We went on a Thurs night & it was busy with just 1 waitress, 1 bartender, 1 supervisor=3 people working that night. Our waitress CHEY was super awesome, due to being short on people she kept the party going. she had good suggestions, showed us how the food on the plate looks, & i love her personality. So I decided to have dessert for dinner(lol) Pastel 3 Leches-Chocolate, I have to say I am glad that I got to try this one, I am not a big chocolate type of person but this one just made me want to get another slice. Words cant describe the taste thats how onolicious it is. My husband had the Enchiladas & the portion of it was pretty average but filling. It’s hard to find decent mexican food places down here in hawaii & I have to say so far this place is not bad. My husband is from Cali so his expectations for mexican food is pretty high so I had to ask him what he thought of this place, his response«not bad, I would try again».

I happened to walk by Roasted Chiles on Fourth Friday(once a month(street) food truck festival held in the parking lot) and was sad and glad I did. I was sad because it was after I had already eaten food from 3 trucks before spotting these guys, and was somewhat full. When walking by and seeing the al pastor spit outside on the fenced in curb, I knew I had room for«just one more» taco. When I asked how much they cost, the«taco guy» responded with $ 4. Small kine pricey for one taco, and absolutely absurd when compared to mainland prices. However, this ain’t the Mainland and you do pay Hawaii prices, especially for things that aren’t as common yet. Tacos and Mexican food in general has grown astronomically over the past decade, but it is still relatively small scale(almost non existent on the Big Island). I knew by looking at these tacos though that they would be worth the asking price. Boy was I right. These were some of the best al pastor tacos I have ever had. I only wish I had had room to eat more. I will most definitely be back again next time I visit Maui. I don’t know if they have these exact same tacos every day inside the restaurant. I did not go inside, everything took place on the curb because of the food festival. If you happen to see this place and a hunk of meat spinning slowly on a spit, do yourself a favor and stop and get one. Your stomach will thank you.
