IHOP Restaurant

Visited this location on Sunday, January 11, 2016 at 3pmish. Our server, I wish I could remember her name, was fabulous. She was attentive, didn’t have to remind her for more drinks as they were already there, she also remembered we needed to put in a to-​go order and reminded us. The food was fabulous also. Please try the Red Velvet pancakes.

We had a party of 9 show up for Christmas. We called and were told there was no wait. Little did we know there was no wait to be seated but at least an hour wait to get food.
When the food finally arrived all but two of the meals were cold. One steak meal looked like someone had chewed on it first; crepes were cold to the touch; scrambled eggs cold and rock solid. Some sucked it up and ate while others complained.
The manager came by and took 50% off and the waitress seemed remorseful which was their only saving grace.
We didn’t expect 5-​star service especially considering it was Christmas night, but we at least expected hot food. Thanks to the very nice waitress who helped smooth things over.

Busy Sunday breakfast. And the staff was friendly and efficient. Food came out in a timely manner and cooked well. Toast needed butter on them but I can do that. Be ready to wait but it really didn’t take that long to get our table. Appreciate the military discount offered. Will be back.

We ate breakfast at this IHOP this morning October 9, 2015 and the service and food was great we also were seated right away. A big selection of omelets and pancakes is always good. (I’m thinking with the number of customers they get each day, this is pretty impressive.)
But the restrooms on the other hand were really dirty, both toilets were filthy and the changing table had dried up ketchup on it. I think bathrooms should be cleaned at all times!

Well the 1^st time we went here customer service was horrible the waitress came back 30 min later after dropping off drinks talking about she for got to put out order in so we stopped going for a while went back like 2 other times no issues but the last time they had some rude ppl in there all loud and drunk, manager didn’t address then or anything, it was late but the manager should’ve took care of that or atleast set us away from the group bc they were all like if they don’t like it they can move no we are sharing the same space in a restaurant Yal need to stfu so we didn’t move bc idk who they thought they were punking but manager should’ve handled them but food is always good. I wouldn’t take a friend to this location though. They do provide military discount

If I could give no stars I would. We called and placed an order for pick up and when we went to go pick it up they said we never placed one. The lady at the front even asked us 3 times rudely if we where sure that we called them. She was extremely rude and just kept telling us we where wrong when she was the women we place the order with over the phone (same name and voice) we asked to speak to the manager and she didn’t seem to care. Awful rude staff. Will never go again. Go to Denny’s mate!

If there was a negative star, I’d rate this place with it. My steak was OLD and I went home sick for two days. The steak that came out to me was oddly colored and did not have the texture of a steak. I don’t know who they’re fooling but it won’t be me. I am the steak master and trust me. I’ve been around when it comes to steak. This was by far the worst steak I have ever had to encounter. I wasn’t even sure if it was a steak. They’re under staffed. Very very under staffed. Understaffed to the point where we were seated at a table that had yet to be wiped down. Food took for damn ever to come out and I paid so much for something I pay $ 20 less at Denny’s with more food. I won’t be coming back.

I’m not sure what has happened to this place. There’s something about dining out in Killeen… so many places have sub par service. This place used to be great, and it was the exception, but not tonight. I ordered my food with an extra egg. I got my order minus the extra egg I ordered. I didn’t want my food to get cold while I waited for my third egg… so I began to eat. Twice while my waitress walked by and I was less than half way done, I asked about my extra egg. It’s coming was the reply I got both times. I even slowed down… but eventually I was done eating and my third egg hadn’t arrived. Just as I was about to leave the waitress brought it. I told her that the ship had sailed and I wanted my bill corrected with the extra egg removed. I paid, and have a receipt for $ 12.65. When I logged into my bank account in the parking lot on my phone… I see I was still charged $ 14.04. This isn’t over yet. I plan to scan my receipt and dispute this charge, providing my bank with the actual amount. Wanna guess who wins? Folks… watch this place. I’m pissed because I Love Ihop, but I see now I won’t be able to eat at one locally. This place has its problems, but the one in Harker Heights is even worse. Beware… and don’t say you weren’t warned.

I’ve been here a few times already and if I had to choose between here or Denny’s across the street — I’d definitely prefer this IHOP more. To be even more specific, I’d pick the IHOP in Harker Heights over this one, but that’s another review…
This location can be very crowded or have literally no wait time depending on what time of day you arrive. Since it’s located not too far from the nightclubs on Elms Rd., try to avoid coming on Thursday to Saturday nights — it will be extremely crowded and you’ll have to wait a very long time to be seated.
My last visit was on a Sunday night and we were seated right away. Our server was very attentive and friendly to my mother and I. As far as the quality of our food, it was just mediocre. My mom’s meal was overdone and my chicken cobb salad was just okay — nothing special. What I really love most about IHOP is their crepes. I had the Strawberry & Cream with an extra side of bananas. Now, that I can say was really good.
There’s still a lot of room for improvement; nonetheless it’s a good alternative to the other breakfast-​type restaurants in town.

Good portion sizes, tastes decent, friendly service, fair prices.
Got a steak omelet, was pretty good but had a little too much cheese and potatoes. Salsa was good.
Pancakes were sweet and fluffy.
Waitress was nice enough to give me orange juice to go.
Location is easy to get to.

Food is good, but service can be slightly inconsistent.
Never had a bad experience here. It’s a busy place so be prepared to wait awhile if you come during the typical meal hours. Servers work hard to meet the demands of all the patrons from what I’ve seen.
If you’re not patient with waiting to be seated… don’t come here. If you have no understanding of how hard being a server in a busy restaurant is, and therefore have no sympathy, don’t come here.
Otherwise, it’s a good breakfast place.

I visit this particular iHop occasionally with mixed results. Sometimes it’s on the ball with awesome service and food quality. Other times it’s a headache to even get a seat. Recently they wrote my name down for a seat and skipped over me several times. When I asked about it, they said my name wasn’t on the list even though I saw them write it. Still, they seem to get the food right most of the time. Just don’t go here expecting consistency. They don’t seem to be able to provide it.

I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re in a hurry. We had a 15 month old with us and it took almost an hour to get our food. The food had no flavor and was extremely generic. Our grandson loves pancakes and the only thing he found them good for was entertainment.

This ihop is great! So much better than the one in Harker Heights. Service is fast staff is friendly and the food is awesome

Waitress seemed very rushed. My boyfriend ordered a stack of four banana pancakes and they only brought him out two. Both our meals came out at different times. It sucked because we wanted to enjoy our meals together. I will say the banana pancakes were very delicious. They wait for our food was less than ideal.

While I have never really been a huge fan of iHop, il love going somewhere that I can sit down and enjoy a hot breakfast. I have been eating here just about every week for the past few months, and for the most part have been completely impressed. A few minor complaints here and there but for the most part, food is hot, the servers are friendly, the place is clean, and the food taste good! I have eaten at some bad iHops before, which give the entire chain a bad wrap, but this one is actually worth your while to check out!

First, don’t let these old reviews get to you!
I recently visited last week for breakfast and was glad that the staff proved me otherwise (compared to the reviews on here). I was immediately greeted by a warm and friendly host who immediately seated us. The wait staff was very nice and accommodating. Our food was promptly delivered to us and was quite tasty. My friend got the steak omelette and substituted the pancakes with crepes – which I highly recommend! And I got the sampler breakfast (2 pancakes, hashbrowns, 2 slices of bacon, 2 sausage, 2 slices of ham) which filled me up! I like variety so this was prime for me.
A few things that ticked me off were the dry ham in my sampler breakfast and the fact that I received scrambled eggs instead of the over easy eggs I asked for.
Other than that, this place is great. Smiling and friendly staff, yummy food, and short wait for food and seating.

I had breakfast there and got seated pretty quickly. The food was good too. Check out was a but crazy, but not bad.

Every time we go we have to wait forever to eat, someone always has something missing and the managers tried telling me that I couldn’t use a coupon on a day because they were already having a sale at the restaurant!!! What kind of sense does that make! It wasn’t like I was trying to get my whole dinner for free, but he actually argued with me and said that he would discount what he could. Thank goodness for the Harker Height’s one that opened up because we tried that killeen one 4 times before we just stopped going altogether.

Can I give this place NO STARS?! Jesus. I knew it wouldn’t be great after reading the reviews but my god. It took an hour to get our food and it was cold. There were literally flies everywhere. Generally I can understand when a place may be understaffed (they mentioned this plenty of times about the kitchen) but for my food to come out cold and not even look decent? I feel pretty disgusted with myself for eating here.
