Coldwater Creek is a women’s apparel retailer selling fashionable but fairly conservative clothing aimed squarely at grown-ups. This particular location is clean and inviting, with welcoming and attentive staff. The clothes are of good construction and overall quality. Although their clothing tends to be fairly traditional and conservative, they do carry items in bold colors and the cuts tend to be flattering. It’s clothing for a woman who needs to be nice and covered up at her business-casual office, but still wants to look good, not dowdy. The King of Prussia mall location has a large clearance section in back, and if you have the patience to wade through it, you can make out like a bandit. I found a green and white striped loose-knit sweater that looks great over a white tank top. It is soft, comfortable, and flattering. I also scored a really nice pink cardigan that fits really well – it’s not too tight in the sleeves, and it nips in a bit at the waist so that you do not look like a rectangle. Aside from the clearance section, the clothes tend to be fairly pricey, so it’s definitely worth it to look for sales and to also be aware of what you can find elsewhere for cheaper. For instance, at the time I went, they had some summery tie-dyed wrap skirts which were lovely, but extortionate at almost $ 70 a piece. All in all, it’s definitely worth popping into Coldwater Creek if you are in the area, and could be worth a special trip if you are having trouble finding clothes that are attractive while being modest and mature.
