For something to do for our wedding anniversary my husband and I took the Incredible Island Style Entertaining class with Chef Christian Speicher. It was an excellent decision! The chef and the kitchen assistants were all wonderful and extremely helpful. 9 people took the class, so we worked in a group of 4 and a group of 5. The small number meant that there was something for everyone to be doing, and we never felt crowded. We made a 3 course meal that was absolutely delicious. It was so much fun to learn new cooking techniques and to try new recipes. We did book our place only a few days before the class, so it was on sale. $ 34 per person for a 2 hour cooking lesson AND a delicious meal is one heck of a deal!

I was a little bit torn about this review. I loved the teacher Angie Lee. We were 14 in the class and I admit I think 10 should be the maximum. More room in a kitchen and therefore also more hands on. Either way we took the ravioli class this past Saturday marxh 7. It was fun, informative and I think I learned ravioli for sure. The fillings were made by the group which was fine. The sauces I felt we weren’t as involved, I like a neat area and a few times I picked things up and bought them to Angie’s kitchen helpers. At one point Nancy asked me to stop and told me it was their jobs, I was put off by that completely, I didn’t want her job I was being kind and when things were right there I thought it polite. I was obviously put in my place quickly, some ravilois of course were better than others since texture is important and some were rubbery. You are offered a 10 percent discount to use in store on day of class. I think a few days to use it would be nice so you have time after to go home and do a once over of your gadgets and make an informed buy, you get a week to use the discount on future classes why not on purchases? Makes no sense. I am considering another class since I always want to learn more and cooking is fun. With a friend or partner even better, Angie’s fun and light hearted approach to cooking was refreshing, I’d sign up to learn from her again. Close to four stars but for a few reasons not exactly especially at $ 69 per person.

Great time with great people. I planned a first date here and it was so the right decision! Awesome kitchen with a great teacher. Great italian menu and the class was intimate just 4 people that night(normally there are 10 – 16). Lentil and Vegetable Soup with Parmesan — Prosciutto Wrapped Chicken Stuffed with Sundried Tomato Tapenade — Roasted Broccoli with Garlic and Lemon — Chocolate Panna Cotta with Balsamic-Glazed Dried Cherries. I highly recommend bringing a date or group of friends there.

This update is for the Cheese and Yogurt cooking class with Angie Lee. Fabulous! It was a two hour science experiment meets cooking class where the result was homemade ricotta, mozzarella, yogurt and frozen orange ricotta yogurt w chocolate. That we made! As if that wasn’t amazing enough there were only FOUR people in the two-hour class. For $ 69 bucks it was totally worth it.

I took a cooking class yesterday. There were only 5 people in the class which made it more hands on. The instructor was very knowledgeable and very helpful. She answered every question and took the time to help every participant individually. The class lasted longer than the two hours we paid for. I would definitely go back for another class. Of course, I used the 10% off coupon that came in our packet! I purchased some of the tools we used in the class since I now know how to use them. I do have to say I was totally disgusted with the ladies room though. The floor was gross and it looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in weeks. They store gift boxes in there within close proximity of the toilet. I think someone needs to re-think that!
