Love this place but it seems like the prices have risen quite a bit since I’ve been here. $ 30 for a rice bowl, noodle bowl and wontons with no drinks is a bit steep for me.

Pei Wei in kingwood is a treat for my kids. I find their menu somewhat limited but we make do. I have also ordered online and pick up on a regular basis. Although it may just be my computer but their website will not allow me to enter through IE but only through Google Chrome. No biggie. My kids love going here as they get to use the cool fountain drink machines with tons of choices. The food is consistently good, a cut Above the usual Asian diner

It’s not good at all. Crab Puffs and Lettuce wraps are really the only dishes I’ve enjoyed in my four visits. Just spend a little extra money @ Mencius, Oriental Gardens, Hunan Gardens, or even Hin’s. You’ll be happy you did.

I tried this place a couple of times. To me it’s an over priced Americanized Chinese food restaurant. Is it good, sure but so is Taco Bell every now and then when you don’t have time to get some real Mexican food. For the money I rather go to JJ’s off of Northpark.

So I finally found something at Pei Wei that I like! It took me YEARS, but I finally did! I kept trying the fried rice for some reason. I hate Pei Wei fried rice, but I kept forgetting this. Seriously, who puts raw broccoli in fried rice? I’ve never been a Kung Pao person, but it’s actually my favorite thing there now. I get it with tofu. The tofu Pei Wei uses is different than other Asian restaurants. They marinate it and bake it. That gives it a very firm meaty texture. It’s actually a great introductory tofu for meat eaters, in case you’re interested. Another plus: they have the fancy coke machines so you can flavor your diet dr pepper. Very cool.

Mmmmmm I like this place. As you walk in the menu is on the wall to the right. You place your order sit and they bring it to you. We ordered pad Thai with chicken, honey chicken with noodles wonton soup and Mongolian beef added veggies. It all was very good. The soup had fresh basil and mint mmmmm it was so good. Pad Thai came with tofu and chicken. It was too much to eat in one sitting. It was medium spicy. Mongolian Beef had a sweet taste was served with white rice. Honey chicken was devoured by my kids so it must have been delicious. Funny little rid bit: This is an Asian dinner but everyone cooking in the back was not Asian!

I just got a to-go order which consisted of 1 Vietnamese Chicken Salad Roll and the small King Pao with shrimp and brown rice. When I got home and opened the box that contained the Vietnamese Chicken Salad Roll, I was a bit ticked off to see that it had come apart. Obviously, it had not been rolled properly which would have meant tightly. So I re-rolled it. It still fell apart as I ate it. I had a mess. Next came the King Pao with shrimp. The shrimp was dark(like the coating had been burned), and there was no sauce on it… dry, dry, dry. I ended up throwing it out. Normally I would have taken everything back, but I live four miles away and didn’t feel like making the 8-mile round trip only to have my food replaced by something probably as undesirable. It’s too bad – I like Pei Wei. I usually get their Spicy Chicken Salad. I will eventually go back and order that… as soon as I get this bad taste out of my mouth.

It’s a chain and it’s «fast-ish» food. Not five star dining but they do their version of Americanized Chinese food decently. The thing with chains is people tend to order the same thing over and over again. If people find something they like, they are likely to come again and get the same thing. If people don’t like it– they won’t come back. I happen to like a few menu items and my kiddos like to eat here too. Better than other kid friendly chains!

My boyfriend loves this place! So he has now talked me into eating here several times. I usually get the honey seared chicken which is good and has a good sauce along with it. I try to keep it small and I love the fresh options to add in! Plus they have that awesome drink machine with soooo many different drink choices! :-)

PF Chang’s taste at a reasonable price! I typically order the honey seared chicken and it consistently satisfies. I really like the open kitchen and guessing how many eyebrows have been lost in the occasional massive flare ups…

The place is very nice looking, and the staff also seem very kind. The food however, I have to agree is on par with buying it out of the frozen section at the grocery store. The rice was under cooked yet over cooked in some parts and the teriyaki sauce was unbearably sweet. My friend got a spicy dish and it tasted the exact same as my teriyaki, lol. I believe one of my friends told me this is suppose to be like a fast food version of asian food, and that is probably a pretty good label to compare the quality.

So I’m weird and this is about the only«Asian» food I can eat-granted I always order my meal without the sauce. I usually end up with what resembles chicken nuggets and fried rice but I think it’s pretty tasty and come here fairly frequently. The service can be a little slow sometimes but I think it gets that way pretty much everywhere around lunch time. They have the fancy new soda machines that give you about 500+ chocies so it can take forever to get a drink if there are people in front of you who don’t know what they’re doing. Also the portions are huge so it’s always nice to have some leftovers for another day :)

I can eat GF here safely. They have choices on the menu, but none of them make me want to eat there. I wish they would make their lettuce wraps GF like they do at PF Changs.

This is my favorite Pei Wei location. The service is great whether you stay and eat or carry out. I enjoy the Pei Wei Spicy & Crab Wontons. Those are my usuals every time i go.

Ok, this Pei Wei is stepping up. They’ve improved the way they handle the lunch rush, getting people seated and served much more quickly. Also, they have added a delicious new offering Sriracha! I had Sriracha beef today and it was NOMULOUS! At first, I thought it wasn’t spicy and then, as I ate, the tasty, tangy spicy sriracha built up until it was a crecendo of yummy heat in my mouth. They are offering combos that include the Sriracha item, so you can get your heat eat along with soup or eggroll and rice at a good price. The general quality of their other items seems to have improved as well. I think they got some different line cooks who know their stuff. I really enjoy coming here for lunch now. IMHO, Pei Wei is serving the best chain fast food out there. Nom.

The three stars is because the food is always great. I rarely frequent Pei Wei for the reasons of accessibility, but for some reason have been receiving a lot of coupons where I can get a free #DinerSelect with the purchase of a beverage, etc. Each time I go to this location to redeem these coupons the attendants(young, hipsters) have no idea of the coupons and read them in front of me as if they could be false. That is totally embarrassing. Believe me, being BLACK, in KINGWOOD and attempting to use a COUPON is not a good look. To be quite honest I was almost hesitant to use the coupon before it’s Tuesday expiration date. I ordered the«Spicy Pei Wei» which wasn’t spicy at all, but not being a frequent customer of Pei Wei I took the super sweet meal as just a misunderstanding on my part. One cool thing about this place is totally the soda machine. You can get almost any flavor of soda you can think of. Oddly enough, on each occasion I manage to get«peach» flavored something! I more than likely will begin using the coupons I collect neat the Location at my job as I am not to comfortable at the kingwood location.

This place isn’t really a diner in my opinion. You have to stand in line to order. They give you a number and you go and get your own drinks, napkins, silverware, and condiments at a drink station. When it’s ready, they bring your order to your table. There might be a person or two walking the dining area. If you need something, they will try to get it for you if you ask them. On peak dinner hours on Friday or Saturday night you may wait more than 15 minutes for your order to arrive. It’s a chain so you pretty much get the same food in the same quality every time. I like it but my wife doesn’t so we don’t dine here much together and it’s probably been more take-out on nights when I’m on my own for dinner. My favorite is probably the Dan Dan Noodle Bowl. I’ve tried probably everything on the menu at one time and don’t recall having a bad meal but at the same time don’t recall ever being overly wowed. In general the place is always pretty clean. You can see the«cooks» cooking and prepping the food since the kitchen is completely open to the ordering and dining areas. There’s usually a few flames to see here and there. I guess it’s good that you can see what they are making and how if you really want to know. Overall there are better options in the Humble/Kingwood/Atascocita Area but you can also do much worse. It’s worth a try if you’ve never been.
