My daughter first saw Dr. Sahota at a clinic in Redmond right before she turned 2 and a year later right before she was 3 years old. My daughter was considered non-verbal and has Autism Spectrum Disorder, and like many other people on the spectrum, the sensory issues that go along with it. Her sensory issues are mainly around her head, face, neck, mouth, and ears. I thought getting an eye exam was going to be a challenge but Dr. Sahota made it look easy. My daughter ended up seeing another doctor at the same clinic in Redmond right before she turned 4 and that was a bad experience(different review). I tracked down Dr. Sahota for my daughter’s eye exam this year and I am very happy I did! My daughter’s eye exam was scheduled for 10 am. I showed up at the wrong address in the wrong city! I called Dr. Sahota’s office and was relieved that they were so understanding and gave me directions on how to get to her new clinic. I was at least 30 minutes late and Dr. Sahota was waiting for us at the front desk when we got there. Everyone was very friendly and great with my daughter. Dr. Sahota was able to work with my daughter even when she didn’t have the ability to speak. She is very kind, gentle, and understanding. I never felt rushed and she took the time to explain everything. She is able to use medical instruments near my daughter’s face without stressing her out or upsetting her. My daughter is afraid of the eye drops but Dr. Sahota did it so quickly it was over in a flash. She is fantastic with children!

Always have a great, and believe it or not, fun experience. The girls are super sweet and had me cracking up! Pretty talented to make an eye exam enjoyable. Stylish collection of frames. More than I used to pay on glasses but great quality. Really helped my out when my puppy ate a two week old pair, dealing with insurance and gave me 20% off my frames.

I had to wait for my apt once for a almost an hour in the lobby… service is ok. I had to come here for insurance and for location reasons. I have since moved and go somewhere else.

Great experience. Vision works carries a small– but thoughtful– selection of frames. The staff is warm and friendly and ready to help. Glasses were ready in about a week. Dr. Mary Baker is knowledgeable and experienced. Exactly what anyone would prefer for a O.D. Convenient location right in the heart of Juanita Village. Free parking. Coffee within minutes. Easy Peasy.

Would not recommend to friends/family and definitely will not be coming back here. The staff members at this place needs a lesson on customer service. Like one of the others reviewers mentioned, you’ll likely get no greeting. When we walked in, one of the front desk gal(s)(wish I got her name) gave us a stare like we were interrupting something. Then we asked a simple question and got the most unhelpful answer ever(details isn’t worth going into). Not only was it unhelpful, but instead of offering a solution, she gave us a «Sorry, you’re SoL» type of reply. Although very rude, what was really bothersome was the fact that the owner/doctor was sitting right next to this rude staff member! Instead of stepping in and being helpful, she just kept her head down, ignored us and acted as if nothing happened. Really? We’ll never be back here and wouldn’t recommend anyone else either.

Would NOT recommend to ANYONE!!! I just recently had an eye exam at Juanita Vision Works. First off, when I arrived there for my appointment, I was not greeted until 5 min later. I filled out the new patient paper work and then a lady walks up to me and starts asking me questions. Again, no greeting(a simple Hello my name is ___isn’t that hard!) Then she leads me to the backroom and I still have no idea what this girl’s name is. Figured out she was the doctor since she started proceeded with my eye exam. She kept on talking to me and felt like she was«pushing» me to wear contacts over glasses. I get it, more $$$ for them since insurance doesn’t cover contact lens exams. I originally picked Juanita Vision Works because on their website, they promote Dolce & Gabbana eye wear. I ask the ladies and they said they do not carry D&G. Huh? I asked her if the Bellevue location would have them and she said yes they would. I drove to the Bellevue location right after my appointment and ask the front desk ladies if they have D&G frames. They said no. AREYOUKIDDINGME!!! I have emailed the company 2x now and still have heard no response to see if they will carry D&G in the near future or if they are still able to order them. I should have never gone here because my insurance company only allows 1 eye exam per year.

I would not recommend this place. For years, I complained about my contacts and my dry eyes — it got so bad I couldn’t wear contacts anymore and the doctor’s only advice was to use some eye drops. I recently saw a new Optometrist and my problem was fixed after one visit. I got the impression that the doctor does not really care to be there nor care about her patients. I have a hard time paying for bad service when it’s easy to visit another more friendly clinic. I have never bought frames there, so I can’t speak to their selection.

I have VSP insurance, so my options were pretty limited. One of my friends from work came here after she lost her glasses, and she had a good experience, and got her new frames/lenses in like 3 days, so I thought I’d give them a try. My appt with Dr Baker was good. I got an appt within a week of calling, on a Saturday afternoon, and she was nice, and efficient. I think she is a really good Optometrist, and I might come here again for an eye exam, but I will never come here again to try and get new frames or lenses. Apparently there was a problem with my insurance. BUT, I never knew for a couple months later because they never called me. When I went in to finally order new glasses, I couldn’t because of my insurance issues. I got the insurance problems taken care of within a few days, but they still didn’t submit my claim, despite me calling them immidietely to let them know, and gave them my phone # again to make sure if there was a problem, they could call me. Which they didn’t. They have an ok selection of frames, but most of them are higher end, even after my insurance I ended up paying $ 130 for my frames, lenses, and all their BS costs. They are very unprofessional. It took TWOWEEKS for my glasses to come in. Yes, THAT long. It was ridiculous. Everything here takes way longer than it should, and the people are not very professional or knowledgeable. The selection isn’t good enough, nor is the convenience to my apt. I will not be coming here again for glasses in the future. Plus, parking in Juanita Village is a nightmare.

Really, really great selection of glasses frames. I’d been to about five other local optical shops, and everything was starting to look alike. Great, a pun. And if you like plastics – oh the plastics they have. I can’t tell you which ones I’m getting because I don’t want you to copy me, but let’s say that the place I visited with European frames didn’t even have anything like them. In fact, I’ve never seen anything like them. Just don’t be a walk-in if you’re in a total hurry. The glasses are all locked into the displays, so you need assistance to shop. Quick details: .they accept VSP .they’re super easy to find, and parking’s easy and free

I can’t see a thing. Yeah, I know, you’re standing right in front of me, but don’t take it personally, it’s not your fault. It’s just… I stare at monitors all day, for far too long, and suffer inevitable consequences like the worsening of my sweet vision. Life, lemons, lemonade. And all that jazz. New contacts cost what? My insurance only pays for how much? You’ll have to dilate my pupils and I won’t be able to read anything for the next 3 – 4 hours. Why? This place is fine. But, I wouldn’t drive from the next village to come here. Points for the assistant who is sweeter than pecan pie and birthday cake frosting. I thought the optometrists appeared to be wishing they were some place else other than Juanita. Do I blame them? Maybe. Did I feel like I wanted to come back next year? Hmm, not sure. Would I rather visit my OB/GYN? Perhaps, she’s cool. Now, If only I could see what they looked like.(Damn you, Astygmatism!)…I’m working on honing my other senses.
