Ranae Kirkland Barber

I have been a loyal and faithful — as well as a totally satisfied patron of Ranae’s for the past five years now. The reason I have been so is that Ranae is the VERY BEST at her craft. I am an old-​timer who has lived in many parts of he U.S. and Ranae, is bar none, the best barber I have ever patronized. And it is a sheer delight to experience one of her dynamite hot towel straight edge razor shaves. On top of everything else, Ranae is a most decent and caring human being.

Overall experience was ok. She was nice and had a clean atmosphere. No additional seats inside shop. Easy shop to locate.
She is friendly, good customer service.
The bad:
Cut length off but not bulk. Using her straight edge razor, I received multiple cuts on the back of my neck. I’ve been to a barber +10 times from different barbers and never been cut before. This was a first and it’s pretty bad.
Overall experience:
Not thrilled.
Will I give it a second chance?
Sadly, no.
Thank you anyway.
I’m sure she’s great for others and their style, but I’ll try elsewhere.

I am a Ranae über fan and have followed her from location to location. She has to be one of the sweetest, most genuine and gorgeous people I have had the pleasure to call my barber (plus I like her to boot.) She always wants to go out of her way to do just that little more to make us look great and she clearly takes a lot of pride in how we each look when we walk out of her shop. She is friendly and completely open about herself, telling great stories of her recent days, weeks, months or years. She is located in a corner ground floor all window space in downtown Kirkland and the people watching alone is better than the usual barber ESPN drone. This is the highest class service, with an incredibly wonderful barber at the most surprisingly affordable prices.

Fantastic barber. Wonderful lady. Great first time experience. Her place is located on the corner. Through the glass you can see a little barbers pole swirling and one an amazing brown leather and chrome barbers chair along with her assortment of high end barbers tools of the trade.
I had messed up my hair and went to Ranae for a fix. She fixed my hair with a beautiful fade that looks and feels incredible. She was quick, professional, funny, and well priced. It was a great experience and I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend.

It was a pleasure getting a hair cut and a straight razor shave from Ranae. She listened to my mostly vague requests and made sense of them and gave me a really good hair cut. Her shave however was a real delight, I felt pampered and relaxed with the hot towel and the facial massage. I had been looking for a regular spot for a while now, and looks like my search is over.

Ranae is an old school barber, in a modern setting. She does a fantastic straight razor shave, hair cut and scalp massage. What can I say, I grew up with Italian barbers back in NY and she beats them hands down. Go for a haircut and a shave, you will love it!

I was passing through town on a road trip and needed a cut. She did a great job, her studio was nice, and she’s very friendly.

Been going to see Ranae for about 4 years now. She’s extremely friendly and has a great set-​up in downtown Kirkland. Way better than going into an overpriced chain shop. She actually cares about who is in her chair. If you get a cut, I recommend finishing with a straight razor shave!
