I had a really good experience, and am actually a little surprised at the poor reviews. However, I know that having a hair stylist is a really personal matter for lots of people.
I should also preface this by saying that the location is actually called Mosaic Salons and it is a collection of small rooms of individual stylists. I’m writing a review for Dominic.
I came in today with a cut and style in mind that I wanted. I showed Dominic a picture of what I wanted and he quickly understood without any issues and was able to alter the style to the hair length I preferred. He’s not a super talkative guy, which I like. When he did interact with me, however, he was really pleasant and friendly. I liked that he really focused on getting the style right with my kind of hair and providing helpful advice on how to maintain it.
The chair, setting, and environment was really comfortable. I never once felt unsure about what Dominic was doing with my hair (and I’m very protective of my hair, after a few bad accidents I hardly let anyone touch it anymore). The whole process (wash, cut, and styling) took ~ 45 minutes.
I paid for the service with a groupon and did not have any issues (everything went smoothly and there were no problems that arose during the transaction).
At the end of the day, I’m really really happy with Dominic’s work on my hair and I look forward to seeing him again. While this isn’t the absolute best experience I’ve ever had with a hair stylist, for the location, price, and service I’m very pleased. Thank you!

This review was long due but was just not finding the time to do it. I had to write this long vent out though (sorry but hope it helps you atleast) because I was & still am really upset with Dominic’s work. He is a nice guy to talk to and has this very stylish salon. Considering that it is a Studio in a high-​end place in the heart of a downtown, I preferred to opt going to this place instead of several other better places. But unfortunately his Kertain job & hair coloring were terrible and did no justice to my decision, time spent & price that I paid.
[FYI in advance — this is my 3^rd Keratin treatment & my earlier treatments gave me best results with no kinky or curly or frizzy results. ]
So I went to this place in August. I have thick black, wavy & frizzy hair. Dominique gave me a headsup that my hair might not end up being stick straight after the treatment (unlike my previous 2 treatments where my hair ended up straight), but he assured it will make my hair frizz-​free, and much straighter and easier to manage. I also got my hair colored.
But what did the treatment + hair coloring give me? [1] 2 X frizziness I originally had, [2] much more curlier & unmanageable hair with which I am struggling more every day now, and [3] a dry, [4] itchy & [5] flaky scalp with lots of bruises all over my head. The hair has now gone [6] wild & kinky; My original hair was way better.
Plus to top it all, I looked like a clown during the first few days after this treatment. Why? Because Mr. Studio 16 has colored my hair unevenly. I asked him twice during the coloring if my color was lot more brighter/​copperish’ in the front than the rest of my hair and he kept assuring that it was just shades of light that was causing that view. Several of my friends, colleagues and even my nails person or total strangers I briefly talked to asked me directly/​indirectly what was wrong with my hair, and if the color wear off for the rest of my hair.
The only good thing of all this is that I thankfully got a LS deal for Keratin, but paid $ 95 for coloring. What a waste of my time, money, and efforts to look for the best place ! My heartfelt apologies for this review Dominic; you might be a nice guy but you have a long way to go with your work. Best wishes!

Was not a good experience at all. Most stylists are really conscientious about giving you the cut you want, but I did not find that to be the case with Dominique. I would not go back to him — ever.
