Safeway

Usually I shop here because it’s so close to my home, but after today, eh, I think not. Being verbally abused by bakery staff because she thought I didn’t use a tissue to pick up a bagel, then having her LOUDLY berating me as she walked away and standing there glaring at me is NOT my idea of a fun shopping trip. I’d rather go somewhere else. I don’t need that.

This Safeway is close to my home. I shop there frequently. The store is clean and bright. The employees are polite. Lately however, the shelves are bare. For example, it is not unusual to find the frozen vegetable section with entire shelves empty. I keep thinking «are they closing this store?». It’s a shame I have to go somewhere else to buy everything I need because Safeway is out of basic staples.

It’s a Safeway. There’s a big parking lot, and a decent selection of stuff. The store actually doesn’t have a weird layout that some Safeways have with the half aisles.
It has a lot of the standard stuff you’d find in a Safeway, and the produce isn’t too bad. I would like there to be more organic produce but that’s not a huge issue.
Service was actually pretty good, considering we came here pretty late at night and the staff were still chirpy and friendly.

I primarily come to this Safeway to pick up my kids’ medications and the staff never fails to impress me. I talk to Belma frequently and she is the best and most informative pharmacist I’ve ever come across. She takes her time to explain each medication and the dosage necessary to best treat my kids and I’m so satisfied with her service every time.

Belma is an absolute rock star pharmacist!!! She got us out of a tough situation last year when Walgreens never informed us they ran out of our maintenance medication and we were slated to fly out of state the next day. We will forever be grateful… we left Walgreens in a hurry after this was done *twice* to us and now won’t do our pharmacy business anywhere else! Thank you Safeway and especially thank you Belma!

Do Not Shop Here!
This store appears to be quite convenient, but appearances can be deceiving. Ever since a fairly recent change in management, their staffing practices have become atrocious. There are NEVER enough checkstands open, typically only 1. I appreciate their efforts to cap pricing by limiting staffing costs, but their efforts have impacted customer service.
Although we have frequented this store for over a decade, today was the last time.

Love this store however they are out of a lot of things, the produce is not the best selection and a lot of items I grab either expire in a few days or have already expired! The location works for me and the staff is great

Grocery store is one-​of-​a-​kind. There is such organization and quality inside the store it amazes me sometimes. I love how Easley everything is placed and how modern it actually looks. Things might be a little more expensive here but I would say this is where the more higher wealthier people would be shopping for quality foods. You can find deals here every now and then

I wish there is zero star. 1 star is too good for them. I inserted 1 dollar in the lottery vending machine but it did not work. A young girl from customer service didn’t wish to refund the dollar and told me it’s common sense that after 8 the vending machine is off. I said it’s not common sense as the light is still on and another gentle man just walked here and tried to use that. It’s been quite a hassle. Though it’s not a big deal, i really felt disappointed about how their customer service is, even for such a small $ 1 and it’s their apparent fault.

This store is the WORST!!! I wish with every fiber of my being that it wasn’t the absolute most convenient grocery store for me (literally around the corner from us) because they don’t know the meaning of things like high quality products or customer service. Despite the fact that the store is ALWAYS busy in the evenings, they NEVER employ more than three clerks at a time for checkout. People are lined up into the aisles and there are 4 – 5 lines not open! The people who bag the groceries also infallibly put heavy items on top of delicate ones. Man I wish I still lived down the street from QFC!

It’s like every Safeway pharmacy… SLOW! they tell you 15 minutes every time and it’s always 30 or more. It’s a ploy to get you to buy more stuff you don’t need. I just want my prescription and be gone!!!

It’s convenient and open 24 hours. Item selection and prices are pretty good. The pharmacy area has been updated and looks much nicer now. My main gripe is that I regularly find expired items in their inventory, and once I didn’t notice until I got home. So check the dates on everything if you shop here.

This review is specifically for the pharmacy. Terrible service. My regular drugstore was out of my medication so I had it filled at Safeway. They sent me to the wrong location, where I stood in like for over 30 minutes. Once I got to the front they were very rude and told me to go across town to another Safeway. When I got there, I waited another 30 minutes. I gave the pharmacist my insurance information and was told that it wasn’t accepted (which wasn’t true) and she acted like I was an idiot. Then after arguing with her for 15 minutes, she realized she entered my card number incorrectly and in-​fact they do take my insurance. I am not a fan of my current pharmacy and I am in the market for a new one — they missed a prime opportunity to get a new customer and have me transfer all of my prescriptions.

I used to live across the street from here. How is this my first check in. Anywho, great Safeway. Clean. Organized. Gots movies.

This is a review for Safeway’s Bakery — especially for special order cakes.
We ordered a cake for my daughter’s 1^st birthday two days before the party. They took a picture of the theme, designed a fabulous cake and threw in a free smash cake for the little one to dig into. Not only that, but the cake tasted great too! Thanks Safeway!

If you’ve never had french bread from Safeway, steer clear because their loaves are insanely addicting. So much that I will wait the 20 minutes for them to bake them! Warm, soft, and the perfect slight-​crisp on the ends. And as the story goes from many friends of mine, the lifespan of that loaf ends before mid-​drive back home. True story!
Tip: Safeway’s Just For U program lets you download really helpful coupons that you can use electronically when you input your phone number at check-​out. I was really lazy in registering for this, and now I’m regretting that because I probably could have saved several dollars each trip. This program is going to make me a more loyal Safeway customer!
Their bakery department is a little lacking — I’ve seen more treats at other Safeways. But their service and fresh produce compensate for that!

This location is very convenient. This store is very old and seems it need some renovation in interior and exterior. Still you can find what you are looking for.

They have It’s Its. That’s all you need to know.

Each time I come back here (it’s on my way home from work), I hate it more.
1. Every single item I’ve ever purchased in the deli area is spoiled in some way. Either it’s burnt, or the flavor is really bad, or the bread is soggy. You name it, they got it.
2. Produce only goes on sale when it’s warped in some way. Seriously. $ 0.69/lb for onions, sure. EVERY single onion in their giant pile had some big ol’ moldy spot or some crazy mushy part. It took me like several minutes of picking through all their tomatoes to find a single Roma tomato that didn’t have some crazy black spot or mold.
3. This was the last straw. I’m planning on making up a huge batch of pot stickers and I called around for prices on ground pork. It’s usually like $ 4/​lb, and hey, call me cheap, but it adds up. I called them yesterday and they told me the pork was $ 1.79. No, I didn’t hear them incorrectly. The guy said «$ 1.79» twice. He even looked twice because he had to check how many packages they had left. I show up today and as it turns out it’s $ 3.79/lb. Thanks for wasting my time.
If a grocery store can’t have good produce, a decent deli, and their meat department is incompetent with numbers. well. you know. there are lots of other grocery stores out there to shop at.

This is the grocery store that I do the majority of my shopping. It’s just down the street, they have a wide selection, and everything always looks good!
My most recent experience showed me that the employees go above and beyond. I was looking for some fresh fruit, and a guy in the produce section showed me where the hard-​to-​find cantaloupes were (okay, I was just oblivious). He showed me how to pick out a ripe one and actually tracked me down later to bring me an even better one! To up even that, he advised me to wait on buying cherries since they would go on sale within the next day or two.
Love, love, love this store! Yummy food, helpful employees. Isn’t that what it’s all about?
