Danielle is AMAZING! We have two pups who are now just over a year old, originally when we first went got the two pups (9weeks) we were with a different training company, BIG mistake! After training them ourselves for a bit, we decided that we (my sister and I) needed a bit of help to curb that behavior that we didn’t know how to correct ourselves (ex. pulling while walking, continuous barking when someone was at the door.) My sister found Danielle and SMS training company while she was walking the two hyenas at Seward Park. My sister and I decided to take a chance with another training company since it was a free consultation, and boy are we glad that we did! We signed up with Danielle and decided to do the training ourselves. After just one lesson with Danielle we started seeing a huge improvement with both pups behavior! We have been using SMS training now for about a month are continuing to see more and more improvements in the two pups! We get so many compliments on how well behaved our two pups are while taking them out and about the greater Seattle area! Would definitely recommend SMS Seattle for all your training!

Sit Means Sit is amazing! Danielle trained my rhodesian ridgeback (and me!). After the first training session, my dog wasn’t jumping on people anymore. After the second one, she didn’t pull on her leash and would walk right next to me. Now I can take her anywhere with me, off leash or on, and I get so many compliments on her behavior. It’s amazing to be able to take my best friend with me anywhere, any time, and not worry about her jumping on people or whining and being nervous or being aggressive towards other dogs. Sit Means Sit was completely worth it. The group classes are great, too! It’s just an all around good program. I’d recommend it to anyone, no matter how old, aggressive, skittish, whatever your dog is. They can work miracles.

My dog Bruce needed some training. He’s a 2 year old Australian Shepherd and we saw Sit Means Sit at the Furry 5K. The dogs they had at the booth were incredibly well trained and around a lot of other people and dogs too. This was exactly what we were looking for in a dog trainer.
We did a consultation and Danielle was super responsive and accommodating to our schedule. She also worked with us to make an appointment that was convenient for us despite having other scheduling needs. When we were talking about when to have our dog trained, she also suggested and worked with us to find a time that worked for both of us which was really helpful considering we were moving.
We had our dog Bruce with sit means sit for two weeks, and when we got him back his behavior was like night and day. He still was very lovable and kind but he was more confident, and a lot more responsive to commands, and we could tell that the work he put in paid off. We had him work on confidence and obeying commands. And we got videos, multiple of them, while he was with Danielle and we were very excited to see them and also appreciate how well the videos were done and we saved them to watch over and over.
I recommended sit means sit to a coworker of mine who was blown away by how different and how well behaved Bruce was once he returned to work with me. One of the main things that was visible to everyone else was how he would stay in his place even when I would go away for 5, 10, or even 30 minutes and he waited till I got back; this is something that we asked specifically for so it was great to see that they worked on the things that were important to us.
We’ve also had follow up appointments with Danielle and she also wants to keep working with our dog. We are happy to keep working together because we know it’s great for our dog and it’s great for us too.

Danielle is an amazing trainer and our dog loves her too! Sit means sit has helped transform our reactive dog into a calmer, more well behaved dog. Before sit means sit it was terrible walking him around other dogs now he can be walked and loves going camping with us. We had tried other training without any success. Also, the lifetime group classes at sit means sit are invaluable, we love being able to take him whenever we can. Highly recommend for any dog but especially reactive ones.

Danielle is the best trainer! My dog, Olive is a super anxious dog. Really bad separation anxiety. We were living in an apartment and was kenneling olive. When we left the neighbors below us claimed that Olive was making a lot of noise. The office said they would have to kick us out if it happened anymore times. I was so stressed and upset. I seriously did not know what to do. I looked up some training places on Unilocal in Austin. I went for a free consultation at sit means sit with Olive. I wasn’t sure what to expect. When she showed me the training collar I was like umm will this hurt her?! And she’s like «no not at all, I use it on my own dogs.»

Sit Means Sit is the best training you can find! Both of our dogs were uncontrollable when we first got them, and now they are the envy of the dog park. Training with Sit Means Sit is the best thing you can do for your furry family member. The training methods are excellent, and the trainers are not only the best at their job, they are the best people.

If Danielle from sit means sit can train my wolf, she can train any dog! Okay, maybe my dog isn’t a wolf, but a husky is close enough? She was able to help to tame this wild beast!
When we rescued Ghost he was a 1 year old not neutered husky that felt like he could do WHATEVER he wanted. I was so frustrated that within a week he had torn up carpeting, peed on me, terrorized our cat, and constantly annoys our 3 year old black lab. I thought I was pretty good with dogs. I never thought I was get dog training but I figured, well let me at least just go to the consultation and see what they say. Just at the consultation, Danielle showed me that Ghost was not a lost cause as I had thought he was. Ghost was able to get on place and stay on. With dog training, it really is about training ourselves first and being able to properly read our dog’s signals. SMS taught me that.
After the initial free consultation, we met at the office for our first meeting. Second meeting was at my house. This one really helped teach me rules and boundaries how what Ghost is allowed and should not be allowed to do in the home, including terrorizing the cat and our lab and proper crate training so hes not just peeing all over his crate when we do have to kennel him. The third meeting was at a park, which this one I was the most nervous about! I kept thinking Ghost is just going to chase after everything that walks by. By far, this was the most productive one. He stayed close, walked by my side and recall has been excellent!
I wish Danielle was still here in Austin but now that the Seattle SMS office has her, I think everyone up there should know how amazing she is and how much she has helped me bring peace to all the chaos that my dog was creating in my household.

Danielle and the Sit Means Sit team have made all the difference in our doggie relationship. With an 80 pound, high energy, golden retriever, Brodie and I both needed the training and guidance. And I gained confidence in how to control my dog. The whole family is happier everyday now that we understand each other and our boundaries. Danielle is an amazing trainer. I came to her because my dog is «aggressive» and I was tired of being nervous bringing her out in public. I was afraid she would get into a fight because I have no control over her. After three sessions with her my dog has no issues going to the group classes, which will have twenty dogs at times. She is also able to walk off leash which I never though was possible! I highly recommend their training methods because it has made my pup and I able to communicate which makes us both much happier.
