Totem Lake Dental

I have concerns about this dentist. Both my husband and I went here a while back, in response to a promotional offer and he informed us both that we each had eight cavities (neither of us had ever had more than two before). We were very surprised, but it seemed plausible. We both needed to have two sessions to get the cavities all taken care of, and both times Dr. Cho went to numb me, he managed to stab a nerve in my gums that hurt *badly,* even when I asked him to be extra careful the second time (and this has never happened to me with any other dentist). Also, one of my husband’s fillings fell out the next week and he had to go back a third time to get it replaced (though to Dr. Cho’s credit, the replacement was free).
I have no way to know for sure if all our purported cavities were legitimate, but we never saw xrays or anything and I have doubts (which really isn’t a feeling you want your dentist to give you), and I wish I’d gone to another dentist to get a second opinion after his first assessment or at least asked to see what he was looking at … it just never occurred to me at the time to question it.
I haven’t posted this review before because I didn’t want to damage his business if this was all just a misunderstanding on my part, but it continues to bother me in case it really is a problem that others might face. So I’ll just say, please proceed with caution and ask for evidence or get second opinions.

Friendly, personable and understanding staff and a great Dentist with an eye for detail who is also wonderful with Kids.
I would very much recommend them.

Dr .Cho is an exceptional doctor and an outstanding guy. I go here for my cleanings, I’ve had him remove my wisdom teeth, and fill a couple cavities. It went as smoothly as possible every time. His staff has been wonderful to me. Laura at the front desk is also very friendly, helpful, and professional. I would recommend this dentist over the chain dentists as I’ve been to many and none have been as friendly, painless and enjoyable as it is here.

I’ve been going to Dr Cho for several years now. He and his staff are very friendly. I get my routine dental cleanings done here and have had some fillings done. Everything has always gone very smoothly. I would highly recommend them!
