Totem Lake Shoe Repair

$ 20 (before tax) for new heels on my favorite boots. They rebuilt the heel block and shined them up without needing to be asked. Friendly and fast service. Worth the drive from Seattle.

Fantastic, quick service!
I was on my way to the shop, realizing traffic was bad I gave them a quick call. The two owners there (assuming the owners as the place looked family owned) happily obliged to stay open 15 minutes longer for me to get there. Once there, I showed them my boots that needed repair. My boots were worn down, discolored at the toes, and the heel looked chewed up. The pair could have probably been thrown away. Totem lake repair took the boots in and only at $ 25 for the repair! Such a great deal to get the entire heel replaced on both shoes and receive a nice color/​shine. The only other place I’ve seen do a good job with this price is a hidden gem in Cap Hill. He moved so unfortunately I don’t know where the shop is anymore.
Totem lake shoe repair finished the repair the following week. I dropped by to pick them up, they looked fab! Not brand new by any means but definitely much better than where they were. I could probably last another couple years with these repairs.
Will definitely return!

This place is a longer drive for me but I don’t mind as they charge very good prices for top quality work. I had 4 pairs of shoes that are brand new and need soles. They charge cheaper than many mall repair shops and are friendly and courteous.
I would keep going back to them for all my leather goods.

I have been coming here for years. You have to prepay for your services, but they are always ready when they say they will be and the turnaround time is not long. Sometimes I think it would be cheaper to buy a new pair at a discount store, but the qaulity of the work is always good.

I would like to give a four and a half stars. Anyway I took the shoes in for some solution, They put the pads in, just charged me for the price of the pads but worked on it for free, I think that is a old fashion type of business value we seldom see. I will go back next time…

This shop does excellent work at very reasonable prices. I took a Marc Jacobs handbag to have the bottom corners touched up and the handles cleaned. The bag came back looking like new.
I’ll highly recommend this business to anyone I know who needs this service.

If I could give this devious no good con artists negative stars in Unilocal I would. They have a policy to pay up front, it is even posted on their desk. I dropped my two shoes off for repair, I pre-​paid but when I go to pick up my shoes I am forced to pay again to get my shoes. It was the exact same guy who took my money to begin with and I said I had paid already and their sign says payment is required up front but he held my shoes ransom. For me to get my shoes back I had to pay AGAIN. No Good Money Grubbing Cheats! $ 40 to get one piece of the shoe glued down and another pair stretched. NEVER GO HEAR — They are thieves!!!

I had 4 pairs of shoes and 1 pair of Hunter kids’ boys that needed repair. For under $ 60, they stretched my boots, re-​heeled & polished another pair of boots, and repaired two pairs of flats. They were also able to re-​heel the Hunters. Glad to find a fairly price shoe repair shop! It was worth the drive.

Today I picked up several pairs of shoes from Totem Lake shoe repair that were in such bad shape when I dropped them off that most people would have just thrown them away. As usual, the amazing people there somehow managed to make them they look almost new again! The other thing I love about this place aside from the quality of their work is that I have never come across an employee that hasn’t been super friendly and helpful. I am always greeted with a smile as soon as I walk in the door. Funny thing is, as I was driving home I thought to myself «I should really join Unilocal and review them!». Sure enough I tried to join Unilocal and found out that I had in fact joined a couple of years ago and had only written 1 review… for Totem Lake Shoe Repair! It’s not that I don’t come across many businesses that are deserving of good reviews either. I guess it’s just that I am always so dumbfounded by the quality of their work that they have now had me actually spend the time to «join» Unilocal and write a review.
Thanks Totem Lake Shoe Repair for inspiring me to actively participate in Unilocal… for the second time!

Professional and friendly service at a reasonable price. Lots of items such as sole replacements with staff happy to advice. This is a place I drive well out of the way to come to, and so should you.

Really awesome! They were friendly and told me exactly what they could do for my two pairs of boots. There was a three day turnaround, which was fine with me — I wasn’t in any rush — but just keep that in mind if you do want your shoes back quickly. I also couldn’t pick mine up the day of, so I called and asked if I could pick them up later, and they were completely fine with that. You do have to pay for the services when you drop them off, but I think that’s pretty standard. Thumbs up!

These guys are super friendly. I needed two new notches put in my belt; I walked in handed them my belt and it was done in less than 2 minutes! They have tons of leather shoes, floor to ceiling, in the process of being repaired. They must be really good. Sign says that you have to pre-​pay for work done… but they did my belt FOR FREE. Nice, nice people.

Too busy to help discuss options. Didn’t listen and put the wrong color pulls on my cowboy boots. Didn’t apologize or try to «make it right». Completely rude. I’d never go back.

I’ve been coming here for years and Scott is the only person I’d trust with my louboutins. I love that the red rubber soles that he has matches the louboutin red really well.
He does great work at a very reasonable price.

I’m so glad I found Totem Lake Shoe Repair because they’ve extended the life of my entire shoe wardrobe for atleast another few years. My Frye boots get buffed like new and Ugg boots get the weather proofing VIP treatment. My favorite service is adding soles to work pumps so they’re grippier on our consistently wet Seattle sidewalks. So in essence, Totem Lake saves my life.
Side Note: They offer red soles for Louboutins. Hooray!

My boyfriend has a pair of RM Williams boots that had holes in the soles because he loves them so much that he’s worn them nearly everyday for the past 5 years. His unwillingness to part with them and my unwillingness to spend $ 500 for a new pair brought me to Totem Lake Shoe Repair, searching for a solution. They quoted me $ 60 for new leather soles, which I thought was on the pricey side, but it was still a fraction of the purchase price for new boots. However, the new soles were perfectly applied, and my boyfriend was super happy with the results. He’s continued to wear the boots everyday for the past 3 months, and the soles have remained sturdy.
Besides the price, the only complaint I have with this place is that they told me they would be ready by Thursday, but when I went at lunchtime on that date, the soles had yet to be applied and I had to wait another 40 minutes for them to finish the job.
All in all, I would recommend this place if you have expensive shoes you love and need fixing.

I should preface my review by saying I was rabidly loyal to Swanson Shoe Repair in Bothell. That place was the gold standard, true craftsmen served three generations of my family. When they closed, we tried several other shoe repair shops. Few, if any, could hold a candle to Swanson’s work. I will not bother reviewing them, I will instead skip to the happy ending.
Scott is the heir apparent to the Swanson legacy. I have seen nothing but top quality work for great prices, with customer service from a bygone era. I had a minor problem with a boot EIGHT MONTHS after Scott had worked on them, and when he saw them he said, «Warranty. No charge. Give me a couple hours.» I was speechless. Two hours later, the boots are BETTER than new, and I do NOT use that phrase lightly.
I don’t know if Scott has a team of cobbler elves helping him, but he keeps busy, and will only get busier as more people notice his skills.

I had a pair of Nine West shoes that I loved, and wore to death. They had leather straps and wooden heels, and I just couldn’t part with them. I decided that they would serve me better if they were fixed up and the leather was dyed black (instead of it’s natural red).
I first took them to a nearby shoe repair in RTC. The woman there looked at my shoes and shook her head, and said, «no way, too much work»
On a whim, I decided to get a second opinion, and went to Totem Lake Shoe repair in Kirkland. Scott looked at my shoes and I expected to hear the same thing, that it would be too hard to fill my request. To my surprise, he said, «No problem! When do you need them by?». I wanted them for an upcoming trip, and wanted them back in about 4 days. Again, he told me not a problem.
I was nervous, having previously had a pair of shoes ruined by a shoe repair (In NY, not WA), but I found out all my worries were unfounded! Scott worked MIRACLES with my shoes, for $ 40 he completely repaired them, dyed them black, and made them look better than new again. Considering a new pair of similar sandals from Nine West would cost me $ 100, it was money WELL spent.
I will return to Totem Lake shoes repair in Kirkland for all my shoe repair needs, and would recommend them in a heartbeat! Don’t waste your time going to other shoe repair shops that only want easy work, take it to someone you can trust.
