One of my fave wineries! Discovered this place after purchasing a Living Social deal and we’ve been customers ever since! The wine here is all fantastic and the staff is great. The tasting room in Kirkland is open weekends only but is a great spot to grab a glass, and just sit back and relax! Plus they typically have the Seahawks games on and it’s always a party! :) Highly recommend stopping by.

Groupon brought me here, but the Zinplify will bring me back for more! I paid $ 17 on groupon for a wine tasting for two and a bottle to take home — what a freaking steal!!! I’m not new to wine tasting; I’ve had awesome experiences tasting in Napa that just made me want to set up shop in California, and I’ve also had some underwhelming experiences at the places I’ve been to in Woodinville where the servers weren’t helpful, informative, or engaging ATALL. This place on the other hand is awesome, and I would come back again for more. Sam was so nice and made my girlfriend and I feel so welcomed! There are also plenty of wines to taste, like a whole page front and back. There were many whites, reds, and even sweet wines to choose from. The wines are very good and average at about $ 20 a bottle. This place also serves as an art gallery, so the environment is both aesthetically pleasing and warm. I saw some pictures of a carved bison(?) and while I was there, there was a carving some type of bird/crane, which I thought was pretty nifty. It was my friend’s first wine tasting experience, and she definitely enjoyed it. The showcased art, cool staff, and music(who doesn’t appreciate James Taylor?!) overall made this place a gem in my book. Thank you, Waving Tree and Sam! I’d definitely recommend.

«Cozy, intimate, a hidden gem» — was what my workshop attendees said about Waving Tree Winery and I can’t agree more. I’ve organized two small events(~15 people) at this Kirkland tasting room and it’s been a great venue for my casual, low-key meetups. The place is a bit hard to find, but if you see KFC, you’re on the right track, just keep going! The wines are really good and at ~$ 20/bottle, they’re a great deal. They have a good variety of sweets and reds, but my favorites are probably the reserve barbera and the orange muscat. If they happen to have either of these open during a tasting, you’re in for a treat! Tasting, btw, is only $ 5 for 4 – 5 generous pours. They’re open Friday through Sunday, and the staff, Ella and Sam, are both fantastic. Unlike the often cramped, standing room only tasting room at Château Ste Michele and several other wineries, they have a spacious tasting room with plenty of seating. You can come in, do a tasting, sit down for a bit and catch up with friends over a proper glass of wine. They also share the same plaza with 1 – 2 other tasting rooms. This is such a good place to host small, casual events and workshops. Sam and Ella are so genuinely warm and helpful. They opened 2 hours early for no extra charge to host our event, and they let us stay an hour after they’re supposed to be open to the public. The event was scheduled to start at 11am, and by the time I arrived early to help set up, Ella had already arranged the tables and chairs for 15 people, thoughtfully placed wine glasses and a little basket filled with chocolate on each table, and got the guest speaker set up to project her laptop screen to the flat-screen TV. She had everything ready to go and it wasn’t even 10:30am! «We have wine and chocolate, there’s nothing we can’t handle now,» Ella assured me as I was worrying about people getting lost on the way over. They also do painting and wine nights for small groups of 10 or more. Sam brings in some templates and painting supplies, and you get to paint directly on the wine glasses… because, who needs a canvas when you have a wine glass? Sam is super friendly and laid back, and if you’ve ever done a wine tasting with Sam, you’d know that he spends WAY more time than the average person does thinking about wine and food pairing. He’s always rattling off the most delectable sounding dishes to go with each wine pour and it’s a miracle if you don’t walk out of there thinking about food. If you’re looking to host a casual event without breaking the bank or if you want something low-key to do with friends on the weekend, definitely check out Waving Tree Winery.

Great wine tastings evening with Sam. Loved the Mourvèdre, Barbera & Zinn for its cherry notes, light pepper and vanilla finish. Plan to bring a few bottles back to California.

My friend and I came because of a groupon, but since I bought a bottle the tasting is free. We had so much fun! Ella was very knowledgeable and friendly. Will definitely come back to try more of the delicious wines. I recommend the Barbera.

They have wonderful wine. Snacks even that go with the wines really well. Knowledgeable staff. I would have an event there if I had something to Celebrate.

I have to give this winery 5 stars for their good wines and great price point! Their wines are typically $ 20 per bottle and are really good. The Nebbiolo is my favorite and I enjoyed their cab. Go have a taste with Sam! He is great and makes the experience awesome. Very kick back and easy to hang out, plus amazing wines at a great price! Thanks Sam!

I’ve been a wine club member at various Woodinville wineries and Waving Tree wine club surpasses all of my previous memberships. Sam & Hans took excellent care of us and answered all our questions about the various delicious wines they offer. I’m super excited to know I can now get 30% off a 750ml of Orange Muscat(that is already sold at a great price point). I’m looking forward to the upcoming events they’ll be having especially the Wine & Bite ;-)

Went here on a nice date day courtesy of a Groupon. The gentleman running the Kirkland tasting room was fab! We found the his company engaging and informative and his attitude/personality unaffected. I didn’t hurt that the wines were delicious. lol. We’ll definitely return.

I loved this place! The tasting room is located in a «strip mall» type area, next to two other winery storefronts, so its a 3-in-1 type of deal for driving anyway(each one you have to pay separate tasting fees). We enjoyed all the wines, however their petite syrah is AMAZING, literally the best I have had in the states! So good we bought a couple bottles and drank one that night… what is the equivalent for«noming» wine? Whatever it is, we did it! The guy running the tasting room is fantastic, just a jovial joy to be around, and answered all of our questions and was super fun to talk to. We are going back for an event this weekend and I am super excited to stop in again! Great new tasting room, great wine, great staff, a whole’hearted WIN!

The tasting room here is beautiful, and it’s right next to a few other wineries so you can take a tour of several wineries at once! They’ve got about 10 – 15 wines to try, so a huge selection. I was really impressed with the selection, the overall quality of all the wines, and the price points… Every bottle they have is either $ 15 or $ 20! I had several favorites, but if you like sweet wines, they have a few amazing dessert varietals, and they have a large selection of really fantastic reds. I really liked the space in the tasting room too. It’s a place you can actually hang out. They have some fun games and trivia on the tables, and once you’re done tasting, you can buy wine by the glass or the bottle and hang out there. A local catering company offers small plates of appetizers to munch on while there, too. Recently they’ve started doing some cool art and music events there, too. I liked it so much that I’m considering renting out the space for my next private party event. They offer a really affordable package with the space rental and wine tastings for people, discounts on wine to serve, and even have an on-site event planner who can take care of planning and executing the whole thing for you.
