Awesome food. Scallops were so good and portion was awesome. Took home crab meat as well so we could have more. Will make the two hour drive again just to go and eat there.

I love seafood but often can’t get good seafood at home. While here we tried this place and all 6 of us loved everything we order. Food came out fast and hot. We ordered half the menu and wow it was all good. The service was unbelievable. This is now my go to place when I come back. Great job to the staff.

Ok, short and sweet! We stopped in due to reading prior reviews and it being open year round. We visited in Jan 2016. We ordered the raw oysters 2 doz, between 5−6pm they are 5.00. Great deal. We also ordered the blue crab nachos which were really good. As a meal we ordered crab and shrimp tacos and my wife had the crab cake and the bisque. The food was incredible and was very fresh. The staff was very friendly and quick to wait on and provide what was needed. We will definitely be back again. Thanks for great service and great food.

Yum yum!!! 2 for 2 here, folks. This time was just as yummy as the last time I went in May. Both times, we received good service and food. This time, I had the crab cake sandwich and my dining companion had steamed oysters. Last time, we also tried the crab bisque, soft shell crab tacos, and fried shrimp. Omg, so amazing. They also have sweet potato fries that are served with this amazing sauce(butter and brown sugar — how could you go wrong?). They have a limited beer selection, but what they had was ice cold and went nicely with our lunch. 5 stars well deserved!

This was a small mom and pop kinda restaurant. We ordered the crabs and the oysters! Everything was so good! The crabs tasted like they were just caught from the ocean. This is the kind of place where they put paper on the table and you get to use a hammer to crack your own crabs. The waitresses all took turns holding my baby because she was so cute and they fell in love with her.

My sister and I came here for dinner after some beach time + a visit to the Wright Brothers National Monument. We were sooo hungry. The place is in a strip mall and has an interesting vibe. Reggae music, employees who sing along, have a good time, etc. There is bar seating and only one booth in the back, so odds are you will be sitting at the bar. Ordered crab bisque, crab cakes, tacos and $ 5 oysters for a dozen. Verdict: skip the cheap oysters, but indulge in the soup, crab cakes and tacos! The crab bisque was very creamy and had good chunks of crab in there. The tacos were served on a flour tortilla and came with your choice of meat. We chose crab and oyster. It came loaded with lettuce and a topping of some amazing mango salsa. Seriously, that mango salsa made that whole dish incredible. The mango’s were super ripe and delicious. My only complaint would be that the wrap/shell seemed straight out of a package and didn’t add to the meal. If they did some house made wraps and shells, it would improve the tacos marginally. Lastly, they have a deal for a dozen oysters for $ 5 between 5−6pm. My advice? Skip it. Sounds enticing like it did for us, but the Virginia oysters were pretty abysmal. Not cleaned very well and didn’t taste very well. Maybe would be better if you ordered them cooked, but the raw ones definitely didn’t do it for us. All things considered, I enjoyed myself at this restaurant and would come back again for more crab-things and less oyster-things.

omg… Just go. Don’t hesitate or even bother looking for another option. Delicious food, no matter what you get. Let’s see… we went twice & ordered Alaskan King Crab legs, She-Crab soup, Soft Shell Crab, Fried Catfish, Sweet Potato Fries… I believe that covers it. So yummy! They have a great variety of menu/carry out item options. *Very friendly & fast service. *Clean — The place smells great; especially for a seafood place in Summer!) *Affordable. It’s our new, have-to-visit-while-we’re-here restaurant in the OBX!

We came here for lunch and were seated right away(we really did miss the summer crowd). Anyway, we ordered the soft shell crab platter with hush puppies(comes with one side), crab bisque, dozen Oysters, and clam strips. Between the two of us, we struggled to eat everythimg. Lol obviously our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. The oysters were pretty good. She shucked them right in front of us. I’m not sure why but every time we’ve gotten oysters we’ve received 14. Yum so awesome. The crab bisque was delicious with a bit of spicy kick to it. I would def order that again. The soft shell crab was such a great deal! It comes with three soft shell crabs and one side for about $ 15! It came fried and tasted super fresh. The clam strips were delicious too. I also loved thier homemade sauces. I would def come back here.

We just wanted to eat a lot of seafood, without all the unnecessary pomp and circumstance. This place was PERFECT. I got a little nervous when we found it, it’s in a strip mall… but after we ate I really didn’t care. The prices were fair, they had a little of everything, but most importantly, a large selection of CRAB dishes. The Bisque is TODIEFOR. I order crab bisques(or lobster, or she-crab soup, etc) whenever I see it on a menu. This place is in my top 3 ever. Flounder platter was a HUGE pile of fresh fried flounder, delicate and boneless. We had hush puppies at every restaurant we dined that week… everyone SAID they had the best. Everyone LIED except«I Got Your Crabs.» The honey brown sugar glaze was incredible. We frequently complain that where we are from, the«sweet potato fries» trend is everywhere, but no one has anything good to dip them in. This stuff is AWESOME. It’s not fancy. They put paper on the table, and if you get crabs they come in a big pile. Plastic drinkware. But if you want REAL, DELICIOUS seafood, this is the place to go. Family owned and operated. Big time Kudos. **The ONLY thing that needs a little work is the green beans. But we didn’t come for the vegetables! lol

Back in April, I went down to the Outer Banks with my boys and my parents. We all wanted some crabs, so I found I Got Your Crabs(IGYC) on Unilocal. After a full day visiting the sites, we stopped at IGYC before heading home. We were there after lunch, but before dinnertime so the place was empty. Here’s what we ordered: Crab Bisque(She-Crab Soup) — If you’re not from this area of the world, you’re missing out. She-Crab Soup is delicious! It is a rich, creamy bisque full of female blue crab meat –sometimes with traditional crab roe– and a touch of sherry. IGYC’s version was perfect. 5* Crab Cake Sandwich with Waffle Fries– I ordered the Crab Cake Sandwich since it was a good value compared to the platter. When it came out, honest to God, my first thought was that it looked like a hockey puck. I think someone left it cooking a little too long. My parents ordered the same thing and theirs looked overdone as well. When I actually tasted the sandwich, it was better than I thought it would after looking at it. I didn’t like the shredded crab though – I prefer lump crab meat. The waffle fries had no flavor until we started dipping them in the rémoulade. 2* Flounder Plate– Two of my sons ordered the flounder and I tried some. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. It’s hard to mess up fried fish! Again, the fries were pretty bad. 4* Hushpuppies with Brown Sugar and Butter Sauce– These *things* were insanely good. While their hushpuppies were tasty, it was the Brown Sugar and Butter Sauce that made us go bonkers. I think my dad asked for more and started dipping his fries in it. I don’t know why other places haven’t stolen this idea yet, but IGYC could make a fortune on this sauce alone. 5* Service and Ambiance– IGYC is a small place at a strip mall. There are very few tables/booths, but they have lots of counter space. If you prefer a table, I suggest you go during off hours. The woman who took care of us that day was very personable and friendly, but she forgot several things, including my youngest son’s shrimp. The rest of us were almost done eating by the time the shrimp finally arrived. Also, most of us ordered water to drink and nothing was said to us until we looked at the bill. We were charged 50¢ per person for tap water. I think that is ridiculous especially if they don’t tell you up front. Sneaky. 3* In the end, I was disappointed after reading Unilocal reviews. I was really wishing I had taken my parents to the Blue Moon Beach Grill instead( ); IGYC’s Crab Cake Sandwich was not nearly as good. Live and learn, right? However, I would still recommend IGYC for a decent seafood meal especially with their prices. And don’t forget to order the Crab Bisque and the Hushpuppies with Brown Sugar and Butter Sauce! #OMG! Scramble for a seat at the bar or one of the 4 tables in this local hangout. The steamed crabs were light but delicious and the prices were more than reasonable. The owner crabs everyday for the catch. Skip the soup and the oysters and stick with the crabs. Service was a little slow but the crabs made it all worth the while. As a Native of Maryland, I’m picky about my crabs. These guys do it right.

Great food. soft shell crab platter was super filling. Don’t bother with the green beans, get the hush puppies. Fried catfish sandwich also great. Go with the spicy house sauce– you’ll want to buy some to bring home. It’s that good. Prices= very reasonable, although kids platters were a little pricey($ 6.50 for food my kid really didn’t eat– we took it home for lunch next day). I can believe this is mostly a locals place– looked like locals were patronizing when we went on a Sunday night. It’s in a strip mall, super easy to miss. Great for kids, crayons and brown paper on the tables. Not a fancy place, probably does as much or more take out than eat in. As we were leaving, one of the guys from the kitchen came out to show my daughter a live crab, she was FASCINATED. Not a ton of seating inside but it’s early in the season, and we sat down in a booth without a wait… Will be returning frequently. This is the perfect example of a locally owned place…

Fresh oysters! 17:00 — 18:00 only $ 5 for 1dozen fresh oysters. I missed tha happy hour this time tho. They are famous for their fried soft crab and crab soup too. Local business. Also family business. Clean, busy, cheap, … I can’t wait for the next time!!!

I went in with high expectations, and they were met! We went with a large group, and packed our way into one of the booths. Tip #1. It’s not easy to get a booth. No one greets you at the door. If you see a place you’d like to sit, grab it before someone else does. Trust me. The service was very good; the staff very friendly. The place was packed, and yet we still received lots of attention. The food did take longer than expected to arrive, and when it did, it didn’t arrive at the same time. As for the food, it was all good. We started with the Blue Crab Nachos. They were interesting. I was expecting regular nachos, but they came with these things that I can best describe as fried won tons. There was plenty of blue crab sprinkled all over these nachos! We also had the steamed shrimp, fried flounder platter, and the she crab soup. It was all good! Exactly what you would hope for at a seafood joint. The food came out very hot. I think that is why it was served in spurts. They serve it when it’s ready so that it doesn’t sit too long. Tip # 2– they ONLY have seafood on the menu except for chicken tenders, and some veggie sides. So, if someone in your group can’t or doesn’t want to eat seafood, I hope they like chicken tenders. No burgers, no steak.

I’ve been here 6 or 8 times now and for the most part the quality is consistent. The business is always clean and it is clearly a well thought out raw bar and crab place. It’s also nice that since the owners have small children, they have thought through little things that make this family friendly. In a raw bar setting you don’t usually find bar height high chairs, crayons and good kid’s meals. Specially in such a small place. So it’s nice. I have to say, since I do have this at 5 stars, that«I Got Your Crabs» isn’t always friendly. I am usually here on non-peak hours and half the time I have very friendly engaging servers at the bar and the other half the service is slow, inattentive or salty. I’m not sure if the people just get burnt out from crowded days or since business is good enough they don’t bother making an effort to be friendly. The folks in the kitchen always seem to be on top of things and are very up-beat. The servers are hit or miss. I’ve had an older lady and man both be a salty enough that I felt I was inconveniencing them by dining here and a young kid be pretty inattentive. Having said that, I have thick skin and I’ll keep coming back anyway! It is a nice raw bar where they shuck ‘em in front of you and lay out the oysters. They also have a great menu and it’s just a nice place to hang out and chow down on fresh seafood. Don’t ask for coffee for yourself or milk for the kids, though. They don’t have that. Canned beer, wine and a soda fountain. A family sat down next to me last time I was in house who had never had crabs before. The server(different one that we had) took her time to show them how to clean crabs and picked out the meat with them. I hope they stay this size and don’t expand. The business works well for the size that it is. …it would be nice if they opened a location in Duck, though. :) See prior review for additional info.
