This tasted great after hiking all day at knight’s ferry. The fiancé saw a sign for ice cream and decided to get it. I just had a basic cookie dough ice cream on a ice cream cone and he had a sprinkled chocolate waffle cone with ice cream. Of course his cone tasted great and ice cream on a hot spring day after hiking always taste good. This place is a little mom and pop shop which was very cute. Also its a nice place to check out after hiking all day. The prices seemed reasonable for ice cream.

One of the last great ice cream shops. They also have homemade sweets and a library to peruse while you eat. The staff is always smiling and knowledgable about the amazing history of Knights Ferry. I wish I could go there more often!

I drive by KF about 6 times s year these past two years, and each time have meant to explore this historic town. Finally I actually took the time to visit and I was pleasantly surprised to find a town where time has nearly stood still for 125 years. The ice cream shop is in a beautiful historic building. It is family run, and they are super friendly. I mentioned that I was a photographer and was given a private tour of the museum on their second floor. Great setting, great ice cream(I had a chocolate shake), and great service-what else is there?

Lovely creamery. Perfect place to stop in your way from Yosemite park to San Francisco. Our kids loved the ice creams, the milkshakes and brownies! Highly recommended !

We stopped in here for a cool treat after rafting the Stanislaus River. The place was poppin’ but service was fast and friendly. The ice cream was superior quality and a refreshing treat after a hot day. $ 3 for a single scoop(which is HUGE and more like a double). They will even let you get two flavors in a single scoop. Paid an extra $ 0.75 for the waffle cone, yummy. The Maui Waui flavor of guava, mango and orange was delish! Sit in the library, enjoy the historic building and enjoy your treat.

How can every flavor we tried be this good? Friendly service too. The pineapple sherbet was crisp and refreshing. The cookies and cream was perfectly balanced. This was a perfect stop after exploring the gold country. I’m already planning a trip back.

So nice, friendly, has fast service, yummy treats, and one of the most adorable buildings! I totally recommend stopping by, even if it’s just to take a look around. There’s a library in the back that is super cute too. They also have a little museum upstairs that’s open every first Sunday of the month. I won’t be able to go river rafting again without taking a stop at this cute shop :)

This little ice cream and candy shop, located in a quaint old building in the tiny town of Knights Ferry, is very generous with servings and mix-ins, and the staff is friendly and responsive. There is a small library and a few other shops next to it that are nice to explore. We came here after a small road expedition to the covered bridge in town and were met here with heaps of delicious homemade ice cream — some of the best I have ever had. We would recommend this place to anyone in this area looking for a treat on a hot day.

Friendly service, large portions, and good simple ice cream. Love the atmosphere here. Will be coming back for more. If you are headed to Don Pedro or the foothills this is a nice place to take a break and enjoy some ice cream.

What a great old west creamery, we loved the variety. Very tasty and has a cool place to sit outside. You can cross the street and be right in the river. Good ice cream.

Where the heck is Knights Ferry? Could it be a place in ‘Game of Thrones’ that is yet to be revealed? Could it be a medieval town where people are jousting and battling the plague? Well…If you blink once, you might miss it. It’s a town so small that it’s only got a couple of stop signs in the main town and I didn’t see any stop lights. It’s so small it’s tiny. When we went river rafting last year, I remember passing by this place from the shuttle that we rode back up to the parking lot. I bookmarked the place as we were short on time last year. This past Saturday, we went river rafting again and made sure to stop here to get some ice cream. It’s maybe a hundred yards from the parking lot. The place is definitely charming and has that small-town America feel to it like you see in the movies or read in the books. It’s a quiet but friendly community of maybe less than a hundred(or less) in total population. The ice cream parlor doubles as a library and the place is very inviting. It looks like the structure could be from the 1800’s. The interior is bright, roomy and warm. Stepping inside is like stepping back in time and you get a wonderful feeling of nostalgia. There’s even a classic popcorn maker and an antique phone hanging on the wall. As for the ice cream, the menu, though not extensive, hits the spot. Since I was exhausted from the river rafting, I opted to get the Kona Coffee Milkshake($ 5.00) while my oldest son ordered the Praline Pecan Milkshake; the Wifey got a scoop of Rocky Road and Kona Coffee on a sugar cone and my youngest got ordered a scoop of Strawberry and Black Cherry on a sugar cone. Verdict: It’s good and hits the spot. It’s not too über sweet and the flavors delivered on their promise. It’s perfect for a hot, sunny day or after a day in the river. The staff is also very friendly, inviting and accommodating; definitely a small-town charm in the middle of nowhere America. I’d say it’s worth a stop if you’re headed to Yosemite or on the way back.

Great family owner ice cream & candy shop. The location is 150 years old making it a really nice historic site. It makes for a nice stop before or after Yosemite. There is a bathroom in the back for customers and a library.

Awesome! Found this place via Unilocal as we were driving back home from the foothills. Located in a quaint old mining town only three minutes off the highway, this place will become a regular stop for my family when we head up that way again. Cool old building, super quality ice cream, large portions, good prices, and friendly employees.
