I dinner with a colleague here and it was very good all around. We were there on a weeknight, and it was somewhat busy. We ended up getting seated in the bar area, which was fine, as it wasn’t busy in there. We had drinks and entrees. I had the chimichanga and it was really tasty. Our server was very attentive throughout. she kept us filled with chips and drinks, and that made us happy. Will definitely be back.

Always enjoy eating here, the food is good. The Firecracker Shrimp appetizer was pretty good, but not great. But the Fajita was yummy. Their cheesecake with caramel sauce is my favorite dessert. Highly recommended!

I’ve been eating at Abuelos for years & it never disappoints. I’ve never had a bad meal & it isn’t your usual bland fare that every other Mexican restaurant in town serves since everything is made to order & they’ll make it as spicy as you’d like. The servers & host staff are always efficient & friendly. The Mi Abuelo’s Manhar & chocolate flan are two of my very favorites!

Authentic Mexican restaurant. Expensive but very good. Service is the best. Tex Mex menu options in the back of the menu for pickier eaters.

Yeeeessss!!! This restaurant is beautiful. Located in a very busy area of a bunch of stores, high in traffic called turkey creek. We walked in and were seated immediately by the nice hosts. Our waiter was at our table within minutes and took are drink order. While bringing those, he brought over two bowls of tortilla chips with four different kinds of salsa. All very delicious. Had the firecracker shrimp as an appetizer, small portion but just enough and very tasty. I need the recipe! For my entrée, I had the enchiladas de cozumel. It was three guacamole filled enchiladas, smothered in white wine sauce with shrimp and scallops. Side of sliced vegetables also. That entrée was amazingly perfect and delicious. Definitely can’t wait to come back.

Driving through town. Ran across this and decided to give it a try. Johnathan our waiter brought out 4 different salsas all very good. Chips were tender and warm. Top notch service from Johnathan made the experience really great all the food was really good. It’s not a typical mexican place, but the food was still very tasty for all 4 of us. I would recommend.

Hoped for more… Started with three different dips. Chips were too thin to really dip. I prefer thicker more flavorful chips. My wife got the steak chimichanga. Large dish but on the Big plate most of it was the sides. Beans sour cream rice. I ordered the chicken nachos. Nothing great or filling. A lot more sides than meat and substance. Nice décor. Just wouldnt order either of these dishes again.

Holy guacamole! My reasoning behind 3 stars. For 1 our waitress was amazing! Beyond amazing! 2. When the food came out, it was so hot we had to wait a solid 10 min before we could even start to eat it. Also. the plates were on fire! 3. The portion size is larger than Texas and we lived in Tx. Haha 4. The chips and dips were amazing! Super yummy ! Ordered a trio mix of queso and such. 5. Margaritas were delish. Last but not least… the food was way too salty. I was swollen for the next 2 days. I don’t mind some salt. but yikes. My feet looked I was going towards the end of my 3rd trimester. Eek The atmosphere was really nice and it was slammed on the night before VDAY. Service was good! It was unfortunately a one hit wonder for us

Nothing to write home about. The food quality is what you would expect at any mexican restaurant. They entice you with nice décor and bar but don’t be fooled the food does noymt live up to the marketing. The food is exceptionally overpriced for the quality. Unfortunately, head to Chipolte; you’ll get bettet quality meat and produce and save time and money. I rarely recommend fast food over sit down restaurant but this is a very mediocre chain. The only good thing is the salsa if you can overcome the stale chips.

Had some yummy Mexican food with a friend today. The food was very good. Their menu has a large selection so this will please everyone. Their drinks are not the best, but it may have just been that bartender. I would definitely go back.

Our server was at the table in less than 60 seconds, on a game day. Wow! She explained the new computer ordering system and made suggestions on food. The drinks and food were cold and hot as they should be and the cups are fresh. Ask for Clair!

Much nicer décor and atmosphere than your typical looking Mexican restaurant, prices also higher. I had a chili relleno and an enchilada. I thought the food was very good. Best chili releno I’ve had in a while. Rice was also very good and refried beans were decent. My wife had the steak fajitas which I think she felt were just OK. She said the meat was a little tough, dry and overcooked. The 4 salsa sauces they give you with the chips were a nice touch. Service was good. This place is probably on par food wise with chueys, but pricier(20 to 30 percent more $) and a much nicer atmosphere.

Abuelos! Love this place. Friendly smiles are sure to greet me as soon as I walk in, and excellent service follows. Just like the service, the food is spectacular. Most of it is made from scratch, in house, including their 4(count ‘em, FOUR) salsas and flour and corn tortillas. They have many classic Tex-Mex items, but Im really into Abuelos food for the more creative dishes they offer. And no, they don’t have«that white cheese dip», so don’t embarrass yourself by asking for it. Check out their jalapeño cheese fritters, green chile chicken quesadilla for starters. The stuffed chicken medallions and tilapia Veracruz are the two most popular items on their menu(and both are excellent), but my favorite thing in house is the Pasta La Paz. The pork tenderloin also ranks high on my list. For dessert, check out the made from scratch flan or the tres leche cake! If you need to wet your whistle, Abuelos has a great happy hour from 3−7pm every day. Their hand shaken margarita(my fave) is $ 3 bucks off on special. If you want to try Mexican that’s not the same as all those other places around here, look no further.

Went here for dinner on my birthday(Sun). Menu has changed from the quality food it used to be. Not for the better!!! Mediocre at best. I was with my husband and kids. Everyone of us that ate the beef, got sick! Needless to say, won’t be eating there again. Wasn’t impressed with the service either. My margarita was the only good thing about the meal.

I love this place! I’m weird I like to sit under the«sky» haha. I have not met one of their dishes I didn’t like. This particular visit I was introduced to what could quite possibly hold the title of Best Margarita I’ve ever had and I am not joking. It was a celebratory margarita for their anniversary. I worked our server for the recipe and she was just a peach about it. She was also a very good server. I have since recreated the margarita for family and friends and it is delish! So that not withstanding the food is FANTASTIC! I love the medalions of chicken with chorizo and cheese stuffing one of my faves. The salsas they bring to mix your own make for great pre dinner fun with your dining companions too. So to wrap it up and bring it home Good food with equally good service makes for a great dining experience time and time again.

It gets 3 stars because the day we tried it we were informed the thing we were enjoying the most was being taken off the menu! The salsas were just ok, I thought I was just being picky but my husband is so very not and he agreed. We got fajitas for two with pescado(removed from the menu), bacon stuffed shrimp x2 and chicken. The pescado was amazing and would be worth 5 stars alone. The bacon wrapped shrimp were VERY good. My husband didn’t remember them as being that good so on our second visit I had him try one of mine and he changed his mind! The chicken was ok. We loved the charro beans and cilantro lime rice. Their signature side, the con chile, was just alright, I felt bad since it was supposed to be their signature item! The same for the casserole. Overall, if you’re looking for fresh you’ll find it here. We’re still so disappointed about the pescado fajitas we haven’t been back and likely won’t. Powers that be — if you read this bring it back!
