V Clay Salon

Okay guys! I’ve been seeing Sarah for several years now. Last October I made the mistake in going to great clips bc they were having a $ 5 haircut special, it has taken me until now (April) for my hair to grow back out. I cried for several days after bc of how horrible job great clips did (which I should have known). So I went back to Sarah today and asked for ½ in off with some layers. She told me you won’t be able to notice much of a difference in length and I said that’s perfect! The end result is beautiful, she never fails todo a awesome job. Not to mention her personality is a awesome bonus. Highly recommended her for those traumatized girls out there, who are scared to cut it off!

Kellee has been doing my hair for years, and just recently started at V Clay. I really enjoyed the salon’s atmosphere. Kellee is an expert in color and is great in all aspects of her job. I highly recommend her to anyone who asks.

I have been seeing Vanessa for over 3 years now. From the beginning, all I really knew was that I wanted to be blonde. Everything else I pretty much leave up to her. And she does GREAT work with my baby fine hair. Would not even think about going elsewhere. It’s super handy she’s 5 minutes down the road from my house but I would make the drive if I needed to.

I’ve gotten my hair done at other places around the Central Texas area and have never had better service or as many compliments on my hair as I have since getting it done by Sarah Heath at V.Clay. My hair started out in a boring bob and 2 years later, she has styled me into gorgeous, multiple-​faceted colored long curls. She knows exactly what works best with my type of hair and love how it looks weeks after a cut/​color. My daughters and I love our hair cuts. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with our hair and couldn’t recommend her more!

Cool little spot with a warm cozy feeling. I will follow Kellee Wayne to the end of the world and now she happens to work at V Clay. First off, everyone at V Clay seems to be very inviting and friendly. The shop is clean and very organized. Kellee Wayne has got to be one of the best hair dressers this earth has to offer. She really cares about my hair and is very honest on what looks good and what doesn’t. I really appreciate that! She takes her time, very precise, very exact… And well, I LOVE that! She is amazing and I thank her for all the time she puts into my hair.

Being the daughter of a hairstylist, it’s been hard for me to get brave enough to allow someone else to do my hair now that Mom isn’t doing hair anymore. I have a bad habit of waiting many months to get my hair cut and highlighted (yes, I tolerate the dreaded root-​rot!).
The first time I went to Marianne Martinez at V. Clay Salon in Kyle, I probably put way too much pressure on her by telling her how I get nervous when anyone but my mom does my hair, but she took it in stride. She did exactly what I wanted and I felt like I looked great.
That first visit was about 2 years ago-​I moved away from the area and then back again, and thankfully held on to her number. I waited until the last minute again (and of course it had been about 5 months since the last time I had my hair done, which happened to be by my mom before my wedding!), and needed highlights and a cut before SXSW next week! She got me on the schedule (today) even on Saturday. (whew!)
I came in wanting to cut a lot of the length off (simply out of boredom with my long hair), but after a few questions and conversation about what I wanted, she somehow convinced me to keep it long but layer it and add highlights and low lights-​I am SO glad she did! I love my new style and my husband is glad I kept it longer, too. I’ve already gotten so many great compliments!
Not only that, I now realize that I need to get a straight iron! I LOVE the way she styled my hair, and am ordering a new straightener tonight!
Even if you live in Austin like I do, save some money, make the drive to Kyle and go see Marianne. She’s awesome!

I was staying with my in-​laws for a month and I couldn’t get a hold of my old hair stylist. I have long hair that a lot of stylist like to chop off more then I requested, so I am very afraid of meeting other stylist just from previous experiences. It was a Saturday and I was 100% sure I couldn’t get in but I called anyways. I spoke with Sarah and she was able to fit me in the same day. As soon as I met her I felt like she really listened to my needs. Even though my hair cut is very basic, it gets ruined 50% of the time. She understood that I wanted to keep my length and wanted just to trim off my split ends. She did exactly what I wanted and I still had room to get my eye brows waxed. Sarah is awesome, and for all of you with long hair that are scared to get trimmed, go to her! She’s very nice and fun to talk too.

I’ve been getting my hair done by Sarah Heath at V. Clay for two years now. I have never been unsatisfied with the results. (and if i was, she would fix it or change it).
My neighbor also has her hair done there, by Vanessa. She was the one that recommended me. I’m very glad she did.
The prices are reasonable (maybe even better than reasonable depending on what you are having done).
Love the place and Sarah is terrific.
