This is 5 minutes from my house which automatically makes me a fan(I’m easy, what can I say?!), but I actually ended up here because I saw a great haircut on a woman working at Sally’s. When I asked where she went to get it cut she told me to see Cheyenne at Supercuts in Kyle! I love it when the answer to a question is just divinely meant to be. I mean, she works in Austin and gets her hair cut 5 minutes from my house in Buda… can you say, «meant to be»?! So fast forward(or at this point, rewind) to this Saturday… I got there and waited approx. 10 minutes for Cheyenne to finish up her cut. I told her about seeing the«Sally’s girl» and loving her hair and she knew exactly who I was talking about. I told her kind of what I was looking for and she immediately got to work. I probably seem like such a salon whore… I mean, I’ve been to three different ones in the past month, but each place has its usefulness. I love my Fantastic Sams for dependable and friendly service, Birds for convenience and edgy dos, and now Supercuts for that cut that looks like it was done for lotsa monies but was actually super cheap!!! Nothing makes me more excited than to get a good deal for something quality.

$ 20, 20 minutes, great cut and style. Wow, I have been throwing away $ at salons and expensive places. They have a 3 services, get 30% off… hmmm. I’ve always been«too cool or special» to go to a place like this, but alas, I’m a jackass, they are so awesome here and FAST! I saw a sweet gal named Megan, she doesn’t look like(nor do any of the other girls there) the person you might assume works at super cuts. She was super cute and well groomed, platinum blonde with a few streaks of purple! Love it! She used a new product in my hair that I loved and I walked out the door with the new product AND a great cut, blowout and style for less than $ 40…can’t do that at a salon. Call ahead and ask for Megan, she’s great!!!

This place just opened in the Target Shopping center. I decided to go since I had a coupon on the backside of my HEB receipt. I walk in and was immediately seated. There were two young girls working this place. One had colored streaks in her hair and the other was a curly haired young Hispanic woman who was texting on her phone the whole time. The girl asks what do I want. I tell her that I want a ½ on the sides and trim the top with scissors. Easy right? WRONG. I take my glasses off and before I know it she is shaving my head. Excuse me, what part of «Trim the top» do you not understand? She never asks if I want side burns or not. She shaves my head and then proceeds to charge me the«grand opening» price of $ 9.95. She tells me that I can not use my coupon, but, I could come back to use it once the prices go up. I wil say that the girl was friendly and did try to make conversation. I did not care for the glare she gave me when I walked in. It is a hair cut place. You do haircuts, color and styles. What else could I be coming in for? An oil change? Tire rotation? Both girls were young 20 somethings and apparently this was their first job. I would have liked to have seen a veteran hair stylist in there. The young girl needs to stop being an airhead and listen to customers. If I wanted a buzz cut, I would have said«buzz cut». I even joked about not wanting to go too short because I would like like Mr. Potato Head. I might bring my kids to get their hair cut but I will not be going back.
