Called… as instructed left a short message with clearly stated local phone number…
but never heard back. Figured by no response they weren’t accepting new patients
or they’re tremendously time challenged, or?

After trying a couple of other doctors I decided to do some research. When I can across Dr. Diven I thought what could be better than have the teacher as my doctor. Well, she is the best! As a medical school professor she is up to speed on the latest treatments. If a referral is needed she knows the best doctors to get the job done.
Dr. Diven resolved issues that several other doctors just treated the symptom. Having residents involved in your appointment is a plus and you contribute to the training of new doctors. I drive 50 miles to see this exceptional physician.

I was very impressed by Dr.Diven. She took the time to talk with me and was very personal. I had a procedure done while I was there, she was very quick and walked me through the process. I have been to other dermatologists in the past that I felt didn’t listen to me or my concerns. But Dr. Diven was great! I highly recommend her.

Dr. Diven herself is great – knowledgeable, personable, and thorough. Unfortunately, one’s experience at a physician’s office requires interaction with office staff as well.
It should not be a hassle to make an appointment. I called the number, gave my contact information, and was told scheduling would return my call to make an appointment. That never happened, even two more calls later. Finally the system changed, and I was put through to scheduling to make an appointment.
Once in, the wait in the waiting room was acceptable – 20 minutes. I was seen to the exam room by a student with a know-​it-​all, very cavalier attitude. When it’s me undressing on the table and my health that’s at stake, I want a little more respect and reassurance that I am well taken care of.
Then Dr. Diven came in. She was great, and so was her resident physician who she had remove the suspicious moles and sew me up. She did a great job. Made me feel respected and well cared for.
BOTTOM LINE: Great physicians, poor staff

This is part of the UT system, so you are seen by student physicians as well as Dr. Diven.
I was able to get in the next day when I called. I had just a couple of skin tags and a keloid scar I needed looked at. The student physicians were very friendly and knowledgeable and Dr. Diven had a great attitude. She was very nice and I highly recommend her.
Its hard to know who to go to when you need a new Dr. and if you aren’t bothered by a couple extra Dr.‘s looking at your ailments, go for it.
