Great food, great service and on the night we went great music. Chicken fingers appetizer was awesome. Chicken was tender and juicy. Breading was perfect. My son enjoyed the honey mustard, in his words. «Best Honey Mustard ever» The smoked prime rib was delicious. Our waiter was great, he clearly enjoys his job and is great at it.

I had delicious chicken chili for lunch, served by a GREAT waitress by the name of «Katie.» She was delightful and seemed truly happy to see us. She was attentive without hovering, and she got our orders RIGHT! All food establishments should strive to employ servers like her.

Piggy’s Lounge for lunch is the place to go for fresh quality food in La Crosse. The salad and soup bar is filled with any item you could want for under 10 dollars. Each of the 3 soups that were provided the 2 different times I went, were delicious. Additionally you can get a GIANT half of a sandwich for $ 2.50. My friends and I all ordered the half sandwich and took it home for dinner. We filled up easily on the unlimited soup and salad.

We ate at the lounge and it was pretty good — the best we’ve had in la crosse so far. We were expecting a dive from the name but it’s quite nice and more refined than we were expecting. The cheese curds were good and not too heavy. The ribs got a thumbs up. The short ribs were also good but seemed like they should be served over noodles or mashed pos. The braised beef ravioli was nice, like a beef stroganoff without the sour cream.

We love the Smokin Blues Lounge! They now run the full upstairs menu down in the lounge so you don’t have to stick to sandwiches and appetizers. All the wonderful, unique menu items that we love about dining upstairs can now be enjoyed in the more relaxed atmosphere. And we have never heard a band there that we didn’t like.

One of the coziest places to get a great bite to eat on a Friday night in La Crosse, far away from the drunks on 4th street and a significantly more refined crowd. The Smokin Blues Lounge is much better than the overpriced restaurant upstairs. Yet, the service is inconsistent, and often slow. The music is typically great, and draws in a wide range of ages crowd-wise. It’s terrific fun to watch the older couples cut a rug. Menu-wise, the lunch soup and salad bar is the best in town, though a bit pricey. Evenings, I’d recommend the pulled pork sandwich, which is to die for… though I’ve consistently had delicious food here, so I’m not sure you can go wrong, whatever you choose. Highly recommended, just as long as you’re not in a hurry.

This one is good. Went there on a Saturday Night. Had a Waiter instead of one of the beautiful walitress. The service was good. The guys timing was on time. The food was delicious and delightfully prepared. This night there was a nice three piece band. They played a mixture of folk, pop, blugrass and blues. The crowd was into them. So the ambience and atmosphere was great. I’d say check this one out if you get a chance.
