Had the brisket with sides of slaw and green beans. The beans were good and the slaw was rough cut and neither sweet or vinigary. The brisket was plentiful and the meat was so tender it fell apart just as everyone had said. I really need to call ahead next time and get some smoked wings as well This is a no frills place so don’t expect a romantic ambiance. Strictly food here.

Have tried their brisket, pulled pork and cook to order fish — all were well cooked and had an excellent flavor. I have noticed that as long as I ask for the plate without a bun, I receive more meat/pork than otherwise. I highly recommend their corn on the cob with the brisket plate! Last visit I saw they have updated their outdoor seating capacity and indoor dining area with TV’s and nicer interior.

I wanted to love this place– it’s an old car wash with a giant pile of wood and a big smoker. What’s not to like? The smoked meats were tender and falling apart– like they should be. My greens were good and others in our party liked the potato salad and beans. My son’s girlfriend got the traditional sauce and liked it. My husband got the hot sauce and he liked it. My son and I got the sweet bourbon sauce and it had an off, chemical, non-food taste that made his ribs and my brisket inedible.

Bully never disappoints. Every time I go it’s great. Went tonight just before close and everything was on point. Sliced brisket plate with smoked baked beans and green beans mmmmm mm mmmm. They have this very good and interesting sauce called sweet bourbon BBQ. It’s pretty dang good. They have so much there, something for everyone. This is a MUST go to on the regular place. PEACEOUT!!!

Amazing! Been here many many times. Support local business. Personal favorites — pork by the pound $ 7/lb — banana milk shake $ 2.50 — spicy bbq sauce! — slaw — wings mild(call ahead) $.60/wing

I tried this place again and this time I was not as pleased. I got a BBQ pork order to go with two sides. When I got home I was disappointed. If there were separate ratings, I would give the pork a 10 for the great hickory smoked flavor. And the spicy sauce was just right and delicious. However, the sides not so good. Beans were not very tasty and a very small portion. The also small portion of slaw was dry and the cabbage was in chunks, not grated and not tasty. I also got an extra order of onion rings and they were mushy and not crisp. The worst part of all was my bun. The grease from the meat had soaked into the lower half and it was so soggy I could not even pick it up to eat. I’m only about 10 minutes away so the order didn’t sit that long. I’ll go back but, I’ll make it a point to tell them about my displeasure.

An old car wash site turned into what BBQ should be. Food was great and the sauce amazing.

What can you expect from a barbecue place located in an old car wash across from a high school? «Sheer tastebud delight» is the answer! The barbecue from Bully is nothing short of fantastic. I have had the pulled pork(the blackened, smoky edges are the best), brisket, pulled chicken and ribs. All have been uniformly delicious! The sides of potato salad and green beans can’t be beat, and the cole slaw is fresh and delicious! And friend pickles, you say? Sign me up for a double order! Did I mention the bourbon barbecue sauce? None of the meats from Bully need sauce as they are stand-alone awesome, but a tiny drizzle over the top just adds a little extra something! And to make this even better? The prices are incredibly affordable $ 7 to $ 9 for a pound of delectable, scrumptious meat? I was floored. I got enough for at least 8 meals for under $ 40! Will I be making the regular trip from the Highlands to Bully? YES! And you should, too! Go, go NOW!

Great local BBQ. I think the portion is just right, I could actually have more meat on my plate for being a female! ;) The meat were tender, not greasy at all for the both the briskest and pulled pork. The pancake-looking corn breads were good, too. Kale greens were on the salty side, otherwise all pretty good!

We have given Bully’s BBQ plenty if chances as we are glad to have something in the area. Pork and chicken are ok and ice cream is cold however, brisket is greasy pot roast and ribs are not baby back. Ordered a half slab of ribs last night and everything smelled good on the drive home but when we began to chow down it was almost not edible(threw half if it away). Ribs were greasy and tastes like they had been left in the smoker too long. Not back ribs so you deal with lots of bones and fat. Really disappointed and have decided we will not be going back except for chicken and ice cream. Sorry Bully
