The Weevil Burger

This is one of my favorite places. Not a fancy pats joint, but great food and low key family atmosphere.

Walked in and 3 women standing behind the counter stared at me in a way that made me feel uncomfortable. I got a very negative feeling coming from all 3. This was my first time here. I was picking up an order to go. The woman who helped me was very unfriendly and had an attitude. I left thinking I will never go there again. It was so unwelcoming and unfriendly. The food was ok. Nothing special. In N Out is so much better.

My wife, daughter and myself were planning on eating at Weevil Burger tonight but after reading about the way things went down with the #RyanStrong fundraiser we will not be eating here tonight or any night. You have lost another customer! Great service to the community! One star because ZERO is not an options. Pancho’s, here we come!

Beyond disappointed in the management of this restaurant. We attended a fundraiser for a child suffering from cancer here tonight. It was prearranged and scheduled to be held from 6 – 9 pm with the expectation that 20% of the proceeds would go to the family. There was a wonderful turn-​out BUT the manager started turning people away at the door for this fundraiser (people who had their flyers in hand ready to donate) by 6:30 because the restaurant had double-​booked the fundraiser and a wedding reception! Seriously, you are turning paying customers away who are there to support a local family with a child with cancer!!! The Fletcher Hills community is a strong one and Weevil Burger will no longer be a destination for MANY in our neighborhood.

#RyanStrong tried to hold a fundraising event here and this place double booked. They turned away customers that were there for the fundraiser 30 minutes after it started. Another local restaurant offered to allow the fundraiser to be moved to their location and honored everyone’s flier. I will NEVER… EVER…eat at Weevil Burger again. Boycott local places like this and eat elsewhere. Unexcusable.

Great service, good food, and kids eat free on Sundays. About ²⁄₃ of the menu is under $ 10, so your dollar goes a long way. Aracade games keep the kids distracted until the food arrives, which only took about 10 minutes. We will definitely be coming back.

First Off Im Not A Loyal Customer But It Was My First Time. Me And A Friend Had A Burger. Gretchen Was Impolite When She Took Our Orders And Threw Our Reciept On The Table And Walked Away. So I Requested To Speak To Her And Basically Was Treated Different Because I Wasnt A Regular At There Joint?. After This We Got Our Burgers And How She Set Our Trays Down Wasnt Friendly At All. I Asked About Pool Tables And The Answer Was Rude. At This Point I Spoke To A Manager. At First This Lady Didnt Wanna Give Up Her Name Till Yhe Manager Came I Professional Told Him The Situation And You should Never Tell A Customer That If They Dont Like It They Can Leave And I Wasnt A Regular So Who Cares? Well I Care And So Does Unilocal!!.The Way She Spoke To Her Manager Seemed Like She Didnt Like The Job. So I WOULD NEVER GO BACK HERE OR RECOMMEND THIS WEEVIL TO ANY OF MY FRIENDS. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EVERYTHING!!!

Ok let’s start by we go her all the time for the last 15 years never had 8 had a bad meal. Well there is always that first and this past weekend was mine.
So sad to say because we love this place. But this time no I asked for a well done burger and cheddar cheese I got a microwaved burger because it was all curled up on the edges and needless to say it wasn’t well done and it had American cheese on I absolutely hate American cheese. And lastly the fries were cold and soggy. So I was not pleased at all. But as always the service and the girls are awesome.

No, just no. Food was bad, tap list is bad. We came here for an after season team event and we won’t be back.

Their food is extremely mediocre but their service is even worse! Waitress had a major attitude. My son and I had lunch there on the kids eat free Sunday. It was obvious from the moment we sat down that the waitress was not happy about this. Before our food came out I could hear her complaining loudly to another waitress about the promotion and «ten year old boys eating for free». I waited for quite awhile for my check and then waited even longer until I had to flag someone down to pay. Many other establishments have much better food and servers that make you feel welcome, not unwanted
— I will never go here again.

All as it should be… good service. fresh food.large portion.. Not cheap.. Clean and decent restroom… don’t care much for condiments that someone else had at there table but simple to not use just ask for fresh.

This place was great for our first time our waitress maddi was great. She even brought extra pickles for my pickle loving husband. Food was delicious and generous. We will be back with friends

Good food and well priced. Heidi is always ready to help us and even knows our fave drinks when we arrive. The only thing that could make my experience better is if parents would get their faces out of their beers and actually parent their children a lil bit. But when there’s no children it is a great restaurant to eat at.

And 72 $ for 4 burgers fries chicken wings and a couple 2 $ beers. Ridiculously expensive! The food really sucks! Jack in the box makes better burgers. Seriously dissapointed! I wont ever be back!

Someone said this place was a step up from McDonalds. I disagree. My burger was so thin and tasteless. True disappointment. Gave it 1 star for the onion rings and fries. We should have eaten at Micky Ds. At least their burgers are tastier.

The A-​one-​derful burger is my favorite. Today I customized it with a turkey patty & blue cheese. Nom nom… It’s great for my 5 year old he likes the little games even though the games are 50 cents each. The food is just so delicious. Good service this time. The last time I was here the lady we had was a bit rude but overall didn’t ruin this place for me. I have to try other things (hence the 4 star) but the most tastiest steer burger I have had. FREE FOR KIDS SUNDAY!!!

Came in here just out of convenience of having it next to the Michaels we were shopping at. Not because we had heard of it, or because we knew what their menu looked like.
To say we are pleasantly surprised would be an understatement!
I’m a vegetarian and my husband is a meat loving freak… In other words, it’s so hard to please us both and they did it! Garden patty was delicious and so was their steer burger apparently. Awesome fries and nice service.

Gotta love Weevil Burger. This place is a little old school but you can’t beat the burger and you can’t beat the prices. My wife and I ate here the other day for under $ 15 and the food and service was great.
I don’t have kids but the restaurant seemed to be kid friendly. Big kids menu and games and pool table in the back. Plus kids eat free on Sunday.

I’ve been coming in to the Boll Weevil chain since the 80’s (and all over town) when there were plenty.
Not a lot of them left now but they’ve always had my ½ Steerburger with cheese and they’ve always been consistent in quality and price.
Not sure if you’re looking for A Class service which anywhere in any business could be «hit or miss», but as long as the food doesn’t change — I’ll put up with some not so friendly servers or a little slower than expected service (but as of todays review, I’ve never encountered them)
Must have had great luck over the last 40 years!

Did you know you can get a half pound Steer Burger with French fries for $ 4.99 Sunday thru Thursday? And for $ 1 extra, you can add tomatoes, lettuce, onions, and cheese at this place. Well you can, and addition to the above, I added a appetizer of nachos for $ 2.99 (
), and instead of fries, I asked for onion rings for .75 extra.
The nachos were pretty simple but good. They came with warm tortilla chips and hot melted cheese sauce. Whether the sauce was made from real cheese, I do not know, but it had a good viscosity and tasted alright. (
) It was not spicy, but with a few jalapenos, that spiced it up. (

The Steer burger was good and came with a good amount of crispy onion rings (
). They prepare the burgers medium, unless otherwise noted. My arrived a little over medium, but that was okay. (
) The meat had good flavor, okay texture, and with a bit of juiciness. The was probably previously frozen, but still good. All the other ingredients, including the bun and greens and such, were fresh and tasted good. (
) The onions were well prepared, but they arrived with absolutely no seasoning, so I had to take care of that on my own. The use whole onions in the rings, which I like, and were a tad greasy, but nothing that was a nuisance. (

Service was okay. My server was a little absentmindedly, forgetting a few items I requested, including that I wanted onions rings, instead of fries, but at the end, it all worked out.
