This place is no longer in business. Went today to give it a try and there isn’t even a sign up where it used to be.

Sushi was ok. They had one waitress who was nice and accommodating. There’s no sushi bar and they only have one guy making the sushi. They send it out to you from inside the kitchen behind a wall which is another reason why it’s not the best idea to not have a sushi bar. I was able to catch part of the superbowl cuz they have one big screen tv. Quality of the food was good nonetheless. The waitress made regulars feel welcome especially so that’s a plus. Unfortunately it’s a little pricey. I don’t know what previous reviewers were talking about saying it’s only a «$» rating for price. So overall it’s a 3⁄5 for me.

This place sucks! The waitress was a bitch and was on the phone 90% of the time. Here’s the real kicker. I asked for some ginger and she says for extra ginger there going to be a $ 3 dollar charge. WTF is that crap I say. So I tell her to forget it.(I’ve never been to a sushi bar where they charge me for ginger.) So she starts being a bitch to me. I’m spending money in your sushi bar that doesn’t even have a sushi bar in it. This place sucks and they try to nickel and dime you and the waitress is a bitch… don’t go there…

I came here after church one Saturday night. It’s located in the same plaza as the Home Depot. When my family and I first arrived, the restaurant was almost empty. This isn’t a very big place either. The hostess/waitress was very friendly. We had coupons from the Clipper(not the basketball team) magazine. We ordered some beer, Kirin and some sushi rolls. We got the dragon roll. It was very pretty but if you don’t like eel, I would not suggest getting it. We also got the three combo bento box, seaweed salad and another two roll, I think one was a rainbow roll but I don’t remember the other it’s the one that has spicy tuna on top. The sushi here is okay. Not the best, but not the worst either. I don’t like seaweed salad so for me it wasn’t good, but my sister who likes seaweed salad thought it was not bad. Bento box was the standard, nothing very special. More people started coming in after us, they all had coupons too. As long as I get coupons for this place, I may come back.

Just drove in from AZ. This place is right next to my parents. Awesome people working there, they were super friendly and helped me decide. I went with they’re suggestions It all tasted fairly fresh and was good. Big slices of sashimi(Tako, Albacore, salmon) and a huge spider roll that came with a spicy vinegar soy sauce that I have never had, usually there’s a sweet sauce se quirted over the roll and can sometimes take away from the crab.

It’s a bad sign when a sushi establishment… 1. Makes sushi in the kitchen. All the way in the back. Away and out of sight. 2. Drizzles mystery sauce all over your sashimi and squeezes lemon onto the salmon caviar! I thought I was eating rotten caviar until I realized what it really was. Nothing was fresh. Unacceptable. Not cool to unload old inventory on customers in the most conspicuous manner ever. 3. Slathers a thin layer of sriracha sauce on a salmon roll and call it spicy. No effort whatsoever. I can’t talk any further about this place. Pass.

This is what happens when you don’t Unilocal a restaurant before you order. I ordered the lunch special($ 7.60 with tax) which included 2 items. I chose the spicy salmon and spicy tuna roll. It came with a side salad, which was drenched with the«house» dressing that most Asian restaurants use for their salads, and 2 California rolls. Everything in the order was b-l-a-n-d. The rolls was jam packed with bland rice and a bit of spicy tuna roll, which was easily forgettable. However, there was one part of the meal that made me chuckle. The spicy salmon was just a piece of salmon with a couple squirts of Sriracha. Hahaha I didn’t expect anything fancy from the salmon, but I thought they could have tried a little harder making the salmon«spicy.» Anyway, wow, I haven’t been compelled to write a review in a while, but this was it. Whatever you do, don’t do it! The food is as jenky as the actual restaurant!

The people are nice but the food was below average. I had the beef soup. The noodles tasted old, the broth lacked taste and the beef was rubbery. I will never return to this place. Sorry, there are too many other options to consider than to return.

My husband and I had another great dinner there. It was delicious. I’m so happy that we found this place. The prices for the rolls are pretty standard… but the size is really good. I think the best deals are with the Bento Box. They have so much inside of them for such a reasonable price. We officially LOVE this place.

Sushi Tokyo: Home of Jessica lol! Also home of a great selection of sashimi, sushi, hand cut rolls, hand rolls, & cooked foods with a price that’s unheard of… CHEAP! So my birthday fell on a Sunday last year & my Fam wanted to get some of the Foodies together to celebrate it. Nothing was really open being that my birthday falls on a Thanksgiving weekend. So the Foodies were craving Japanese cuisine. My Soulmate checks out Unilocal & see’s Sushi Tokyo. The rest is history… The positives: The selection is pretty amazing for such a small place. The prices are even more amazing for the quality that’s offered. The freshness of the fish is awesome… no fishy flavor or scent at all. The cooked foods are great too! Jessica runs the front of the house & is the hostess with the mostest! She’s such a friendly person who really talks to you & not through you. Ask her what she would recommend & she’ll give you a detailed description. Her husband runs the back of the house & I don’t know why I never asked for his name because he comes out to greet us. The negatives: They’re not open on Tuesdays… that’s it!

This place has little customers and the lady who is the server is quite distracted a lot. She forgets to refill drinks and our order comes to us pretty bad. Sometime you get the meal before the appetizers which I think is not really the right way of serving. Also she seems to talk a lot on the phone and even ignores the customers. Sigh we had to wait for a really long time to get our bill and honestly felt like forever. I don’t even remember what I ordered but really I wasn’t happy at all with the service and just the place. I wanted this place to be really great since it is so close to me. But I have to say this family owned business isn’t worth going to especially if you don’t get treated well. But if you want to come to a place that is dead and you don’t care about service or how the food taste, than by all means go ahead and try this place out and maybe I was wrong… maybe she is different on certain days.

My sister and I needed a place to have lunch and I was thinking about Japanese. There must be something in my head that wanted to say Korean, but didn’t…maybe it’s the SoCal heat. Anyway, we decided to give this a shot. Honestly, this felt like a typical Japanese restaurant with the usual Japanese fare. Nothing really unique, though the price was affordable. I had their lunch combo with two items: Shrimp Tempura and Chicken Teriyaki. Came with salad, two California rolls, rice and Miso soup. The salad dressing was a shocker for a while because it looked like Uni at first glance, but it isn’t. Tasted like Thousand Island dressing. The rolls were okay and the Shrimp Tempura was nice and crispy! That’s how it should be! The Chicken is thankfully moist with even amount of sauce. Simple meal with a reasonable price. I give two because of all the Japanese I get from the Bay Area that is hard to beat. For the price though, it could be the only winning card against Bay Area Japanese fare.

The food is good quality Very inexpensive for what you get and great service(Ask what is good today) Combination plate is the best way to start out. For $ 10 — Salad, Miso Soup, Rice, Ca Roll, 2 entrée choices and ice cream. The beer is a reasonable price. Outside it does not look like must by the food and service is great.

Came here for the tempura ice cream… took about 8 minutes to be brought out though none of the other three tables were waiting for food orders.(How long does it take to scoop ice cream, fry it quickly and serve it?) Waitress was a bit too eccentric and aloof for my liking. Her mind seemed to be somewhere else as we placed our order and her joke about us asking for an ice cream they did not have(red bean) left me feeling awkward and ready to leave before our order came. Our order was about half the size of a small ice cream scoop. No, not a small ice cream scoop, it was HALFTHESIZE of a SMALL ice cream scoop. We were charged $ 6 each. I wish I had taken pictures because the portion was totally laughable compared to what we were charged(most places do charge $ 3.75-$ 5.00 for tempura but this place not only charged more it gave way less) This place was by no means an epic fail but very much deserving of no more than 2 stars.

My friends and I went here for lunch this Saturday. It looks kinda ghetto on the outside, but you can tell they made an effort with the décor on the inside. Nothing fancy, but it was way nicer than I expected it to be from the outside. Theres a couple of large flat screen TVs up too. There was no one in there, and the woman who served us was very patient and nice. THey have a couple of really cheap lunch specials. For around $ 6.95 you can get a two item bento box. My friend ordered this, and it looked just OK. Not really that great he said. I ordered the baked scallop roll, which was actually really good. It may have been one of the best ones I’ve had in awhile. I also had some miso soup, and I noticed later that our server did not charge me or my friend for the soup, even though it didn’t come with our meals, which was nice. We also had a tempura spicy tuna roll… which was AWESOME. They actually fry the whole roll instead of just sticking that cheap rice crispyesque crap on top. On the downside the plain tempura roll was gross. There was no avocado inside, and the stuck this sweet breadcrumb crap on the outside. My other friend ordered the panfried chicken soba. However, when it arrived it was not made with soba noodles but with chow mien noodles. It was still OK, but I was kinda disappointed. Overall I would eat here again. They had some good and some bad items but it was a pleasant experience and I really liked the baked scallop and spicy tuna tempura roll enough to come back.

A good meal can only be enhanced by the company you keep while dining, and tonight’s sushi pig out is a perfect example of that. Me and my wonderful companions gorged ourselves on who knows how many different roles, Yellow Tail and Salmon sashimi, and oyster shooters. And at least two kinds of cooked eel. All very fresh and served by a very nice and helpful waitstaff. Also, the chef, peering through the window between the kitchen and the dining room played with my one year old niece by waving to her and playing peek a boo. A very nice, and full filling evening.

I’ve been here a few times and i like the sushi and the service. The waitress remembered me the second time I was there. She even remembered what we ordered the last time. Overall, this place is clean, the sushi is great. No complaints here.
