I was around the area and went here to get the all you can eat sushi and salmon roll and saw that this place is not clean, tables and utensils were absolutely DIRTY not cleaned thoroughly. Food is descent, not the best. I would not be going back though again because I cannot trust their quality of the food! The store is a grade«B», most good quality places are«A» which is not that difficult to obtain. The most weird thing about these places, they are not genuinely owned by Japanese, but another culture.

Service was fast and friendly, and the sushi was reasonably priced. Perfect Galentine’s spot!

Adore this place and all of the staff. They make us feel like family. Ryan is the man and will prepare art you can eat. The waitresses are always sweet, kind and helpful. If you are looking for a sushi meal you found the right place.

Me and my daughter sometimes come here after I pick her up from school and we usually get the philly roll which is our favorite roll $ 6.50 for 8 rolls not bad but we went recently and it went up $ 1 more it comes with miso soup at least which is a plus because some sushi place charge for an order of miso soup but I think it went up $ 1 more because it comes with miso soup lol they put a smiley place on our plate which is really nice our server comes and check on us which is good but I don’t like it when she comes more than once to check if I’m ready to pay specially when it’s only the two of us in the restaurant I feel like we’re being rush to finish up and pay I can understand if it’s busy and people are waiting to be seated

Literally the best place to go for sushi. The prices are extremely reasonable. I usually get the all you can eat here and all the sushi rolls are so good. I always come here when I’m craving sushi. The service here is also phenomenal! Love it!

This place is disgusting. The menus were filthy and the tables were sticky. Should have ran after that point but was enticed by their happy hour menu and decided to give them a chance. Happy hour sushi was super cheap(.99 cents a piece for most and cheap rolls). That should have been my second red flag but I must have been on drugs because I still decided to order. This place has some of the fishiest low quality sushi I’ve ever tasted. The color of the fish was off and the texture was something I’ve never experienced before. The waitresses also wear short booty shorts which I thought was weird and unnecessary. I guess they are trying to be more of a drinking place? Came to this placed based off of Unilocal reviews. I was extremely disappointed but then again I’m probably not the demographic they are targeting.

A serious hole in the wall, great food great service! Where u dollar goes into the quality of the food, not just some fancy interior décor. Ask for Ryan, he’s ur man!

Good service. Great sushi. Nice atmosphere. Definitely a good sushi spot. Not too overwhelming like some places can be.

I consider myself a sushi connoisseur, I have been to many restaurants in many cities and at varying price levels. This has to be one of the worst sushi places I have been too. I ordered the salmon nigiri sushi, a philly roll and and a shrimp cheese roll. On the salmon nigiri the fish didn’t taste quite right and was very lean meaning it’s definitely not high quality fish. This can make me sound like a snob but for the safety of your customers high quality fish should always be priority. Fatty salmon without a fishy smell or taste indicates it is high quality. Also the rice for the nigiri sushi was way too mushy and had the texture associated with having sat in a pool of rice vinegar for too long. The philly roll was decent. It is a very simple roll and hard to mess up however the lack of quality fish definitely made it taste funky and again the rice was a bit mushy. The shrimp cheese roll was the worst. Super soggy(soaked in a very mis textured eel sauce) with a thin layer of soggy rice, too much imitation crab and a very wimpy piece of shrimp. The server was nice and attentive granted I was there with one other party in the restaurant but I would not rate the service as poor by any means. However, overall I wasn’t impressed and wish I would have spent my money elsewhere. If you know quality sushi and have a craving, don’t come here, you will be disappointed.

I usually take out kobe beef roll and volcano pretty often. I use to dine in quiet often as well but wasnt able to dine in for awhile, i went yesterday night due to my major sushi craving. As always the food here is really good, there are variety of choices, to satisfy my cravings ive ordered elvis, rose ball, ginzaya roll, kobe beef roll, and my favorite i love salmon sushi. The chefs here are extremely friendly, ive been to many sushi restaurants but never seen such genuinely nice sushi chefs. After satisfying my sushi fit, they gave me a sample of flavored sake, i use to always get it before, so my dinner was perfectly satified.

I’m sad I lost my #1 spot! I’m 4 months pregnant at the time but still come to enjoy some baked rolls that they make for my pregnant self! Always good service and always good food!

Environment The waiters are welcoming and the restaurant itself looks clean but is not the cleanest. The bathroom is kind of secluded but it isn’t that much of a problem. Food The food is great and there is a good variety of sushi to choose from. Personally I think the variety is not large enough but that is just me. The dishes I recommend you try are the Double Shrimp Roll and the Tiger Roll along with the Shrimp Tempura. The sushi is definitely above average but not the greatest of them all. Overall great solid sushi restaurant to go to. Service The chefs are very friendly and have a contagious smile. The waitresses are also kind. Very good, very nice.

I found this place thanks to Unilocal because I was looking for some AYCE. Dinner is 21.99 $! Thry have appetizers, sushi, rolls and sashimi. I tried a lot of rolls and they were excellent, the rest was ok. Not bad but not great. Salmon was delicious! I’m giving this place just 3 stars because the service was pretty slow and confusing. There were just 2 waitresses for the entire restaurant. Sunday night. We had to wait too much. And the sashimi, included in AYCE, was tiny. I’d go back here if I was in the area, but.

I really really want to like this place more. I really do, but it’s just a standard sushi spot — nothing extra spectacular. We came here because all of our usual sushi spots were closing mid-day and they were still open on Sunday around 2:30pm. It’s a little bit further out from where we live, so we made the extra drive out. The employees were very friendly. We got miso soup without having to ask. They had a good selection of rolls with pictures so that’s good. The rolls we had were just OK. I’d come again if I was craving sushi and everywhere else was closed, but otherwise I’d go to another spot since there’s so many good spots around!

You wouldn’t think a sushi restaurant in La Mirada would be one of the great places to get all you can eat sushi for a very competitive price but it surely is. From what I’ve read in the reviews, there have been plenty to complain about but there is just as many great reasons to enjoy it. Let’s compare and contrast. PROS: — One of the few AYCE sushi restaurants where you can order sashimi — Delicious hand rolls — The size of the sushi isn’t tiny like most AYCE sushi restaurants give you. The size of the sushi is the same size you would get at a regular sushi restaurant. — You can order other items that aren’t sushi on the AYCE menu like mixed tempura, chicken teriyaki, and my favorite, salmon kama(cheek)! — You get 10% off your bill when over $ 20 with a Unilocal check-in — For lunch AYCE it is $ 17.99 and I think for dinner AYCE it’s ~ $ 21.99 CONS: — Slow service at times. You will definitely need to be actively looking for the servers. — The rolls are mostly California rolls with toppings on them — Not the most impressive interior design — Has a B rating I think based off the lists above, there is definitely much more going for this restaurant than against. I’ve never had a bad experience here yet and I look forward to the next time I can attend to my sushi cravings here. If you’re looking for just a good place to get good sushi on the cheap, I highly recommend Ginzaya. If you’re looking for the wow factor and the next big thing, you’ll have to look further.

Wow… I went in not expecting much and I am now a fan… The food was actually really good. The rolls were flavorful and just plain delicious… When looking at the menu nothing really stood out to me and everything sounded very similar… but the rolls we ordered were excellent. We ordered their C&P roll, Double Crunch Roll &BBQ Tuna roll… All 3 were good. We also ordered their Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice which was good. Their Beef Yakisoba was good too… I will definitely be back! PS. 10% off your order over $ 20 when you check in through Unilocal!:)
