I have been a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf customer for many years and was very happy when this store first opened near my home. Sadly, on my last last two visits my coffee orders have not tasted good. It tastes like they are using sour milk in the caramel lattes. This is the reason for my one star rating.

Staff are very friendly. Definitely like their greetings when taking drive through orders. However, I am a little disappointed with the order I had today. I ordered one large blood orange sweet tea and an everyday bagel. Total came out to be $ 5 something. When I got my drink, I really doubt I received a «large» drink??? Regardless they took down the wrong order or gave me the wrong drink, I had to stop by Starbucks to order another large drink(I just want my large ice tea)!!

Oh I love this place! The coffee is delicious, the tea is amazing and the customer service is really great. The prices are super reasonable too — which is awesome. The only reason I did not give this place 5 stars is because in the afternoon it is RIDICULOUS with all the high schoolers/middle schoolers. These kids run buck wild throughout the parking lot, yesterday — two ran right in front of my car while I was trying to leave and then laughed when I had to slam on my brakes. The store knows these irritating kids hang out there every day — they need to better manage these kids. I’ve seen a security guy out there — but it’s not on a consistent basis and when he is not there — the kids are ridiculous. Please CB&TL — have that security guy there every school day — because it is ridiculous! Otherwise — keep up the good work! I look forward to my daily hazelnut iced coffee on my commute home from work.

I went to the drive thru after night shift work as an RN and got my favorite mocha blended drink. I asked the server if they’ll give me a discount with my ID and she said«No» and only to fireman and paramedics. I told them that the Cerritos Coffee bean gives me a discount & she said her manager says so. They gave me a discount $ 1.00 off just for today. I told her that fireman or paramedics just pick you up in the streets and«Us Nurses are the ones that saves your lives». Thanks for the 1.00 off and I’ll just go to the Cerritos branch. I’ll Email the Coffee Bean Headquarters about my experience in that place.

Just want to say that this place has really turned around! I stopped coming to this location for months due to their horrible service. Then came back because of the location/convenience. Customer service experience this time around? It was great. Then tried it again. And it was great. Then tried it once more… and it was great again! :) The service is waaaay better. MOST of the staff is very friendly, helpful and greet you with a smile. Of course there will always be «rotten apples» in the group but overall the staff is great. Also your drinks are made a lot faster, both in store and drive thru. Positives from before are all of the drinks are still tasty and consistent. This place has a clean, bright, and open environment, perfect for studying.

Great quiet location to grab a drink and squeeze in some study hours. Employees are always friendly and make the drinks well. However, avoid times(after 2:30pm-ish) when middle school/high school students get out of school, it’s like a war zone. Hoards of kids come in to get cups of water and linger around screaming and goofing around after school waiting for their parents to pick them up.

My favorite favorite coffee place ever! Love the malibu dream and that is the #1 reason why I come to this place almost every day. It is basically a mixture of vanilla powder, real strawberries and bananas blended into a smoothie and topped with the best tasting whip cream. I am curious to know what whip cream coffee bean uses as it is de-li-ciousss. Especially when it melts into the smoothie after awhile. Sooooo good. Also, when I am in the mood for a cold tea drink, I make sure to ask for the orange blood tea. It is sweet and refreshing. Better than usual regular tea. This drink can be challenging the way it taste as sometimes more syrup needs to be added, but it should over all taste sweet and no sugar needs to be added. So taste it before you leave. I got serious dental issues right now and still can’t and won’t stop drinking coffee bean! :)

Service: The service here has always been sketch since this location opened. There seems to be only one guy there that actually knows what he’s doing everyone else seems like they’re struggling to learn how to take orders. At first I thought this was just because it was a new location so the new workers were still getting used to everything but even now they still seem to struggle. Drinks: Their ice coffee is extremely average & they’re drinks are always way too sweet or tastes like water(especially the green tea) Overall: Definitely not my favorite place but there’s never too long of a line in the drive thru which is nice & it’s always clean & the little patio area is nice but that’s about it.

great service from Chelsey. I ordered just a hot green tea and she provided me with a list of the teas I could get and options of making it a latte and what makes it a latte. they have honey sticks! loved how informative she was.

The coffee is fine, but there is very little available parking here. Last night, there were maybe four or five people inside, yet zero parking spots available. I drove around the whole building. Nothing. Tonight, there are two spots. Two. And only four customers inside. Who the heck is taking up all the parking spots? There should be plenty, just based on counting the number of spaces. Frustrating.

Have been a fan of CBTL since I discovered them when I used to go to school in West LA back in 2002. So glad that one opened up right next to my Drs office! On the plus side, finally tried their Mexican hot chocolate(which I missed out on last year cus I waited too long), and I must say it is so delicious! Truly tastes like abuela made it, and I’m not even Spanish! My one and only complaint is that my cup was only 2⁄3 full. I know that they added whip, but they didn’t have to empty it out that much just to add whip. Other than that, I’ve loved Coffee Bean since 2002.

Unilocal Challenge 2015299⁄365 I was feeling super duper sick for the first time in years and years. I was not about to go inside anywhere and infect everyone with my cooties and germs. I needed tea and needed a tea bad. I remembered seeing a few Unilocalers check in here and remembered how soothing the tea here is. Located at the corner of La Palma and Walker at the old Walgreens with drive thru access. A true blessing since most Coffee Beans dont have drive thrus. But this one did. Ordered a hot lemon chamomile tea with honey and it was just what the doctor ordered. Service was A Okay for drive thru service. I was too sick to care. I just wanted a tea, my blanket and the TV. So this was a winner in my book and made me feel better! #775

After a wonderful meal at the Pizza Studio in La Palma, we found ourselves wanting a nice cup of coffee. Ironically there was a Starbucks located just next-door to the pizza spit, however, if you’re looking for a good cup of coffee, Starbucks is not where you find it. It’s unfortunate because in my opinion, they char all of their beans to suit the taste of the west coast consumer who likes to put a ton of cream on burnt beans. That said, we chose the nearest Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. This location in La Palma was very nice. Lots of ample parking, a large seating area, and everything said new and clean. They even had soft lounge chairs that we were lucky enough to get a hold of. As usual I got my iced blended green tea matcha and it was perfect per normal! My friend got one of the newer coffee drinks which was made to perfection. I just loved the spot. If I’m in La Palma, I will definitely be back to this location.

It’s coffee and not different from the other chains of coffee makers. BUT they get half the customer of Starbucks but Double the wait. Waited 20 min to get get a café mocha and paid $ 5YIKES! Wish they can cut time by half and price!

Aside from the hoards of junior high and high school students that frequent this place after school gets out, I really like this Coffee Bean location. It is just chaos when school gets out and all of the students flock there, and this leaves little to no parking in the lot along with little to no standing room in the coffee shop. At this location, there’s generally some sitting room available unless you come right after school gets out. Their iced coffee is nice and strong, and they have decaf options as well for those who are sensitive to caffeine. Aside from that, I’ve tried a matcha ice blended which was delicious, and this is coming from someone who is very picky about matcha flavors. The employees here work quickly and efficiently to get drinks to customers, and I have no complaints there. This is a little out of the way for me, but I will definitely come back for the good coffee and good service.

Just want to say that the SUNDAYNIGHT staff gave me the absolutely worse service. #1 rule of customer service is leave your personal drama at the door. The girl who took my order was so rude and gave so much attitude like she didn’t want to be there, I asked her what coffee I can get for free if I bought a pack of tea, she then proceeds to smack her lips and roll her eyes then turns around and asks her«manager» who then proceeds to tell me the stuff I CANT get when I clearly asked which one I CAN get for free. The workers don’t seem happy here and totally killed my vibe. Another issue I had is that another female worker was sweeping directly underneath the table I was sitting at. I work customer service so I know how it goes but common sense is that you DONT do that type of tacky stuff while a customer is sitting there. She literally kept hitting my feet and backpack repeatedly and never once apologized. I can’t speak for their whole staff but definitely the Sunday night crew service was just down right awful Save yourself the time and go to 7 leaves or even a Starbucks SMH

Admittedly, I’m not a coffee buff, but I ached to try this new La Palma location. Wonderful competition for the local Starbucks and McDonald’s(when I’m low on cash). It’s A Grind doesn’t have a drive-thru. Unfamiliar with their menu, the first time I visited Coffee Bean, I went inside. Curious about the set up. .. I noted seating, cleanliness, menu, customer service, restrooms. Hard to judge these things from a car window. Pristine, industrial steel décor. Lots of seating available inside — comfortable armchairs to accommodate couples, one large table and chairs for a group of 6 – 8, a few tables for 4 and a small bar along the wall for singles. Restroom sits away from the dining area, back of the store. Patio seating creates an oasis for clientele to enjoy their refreshment protected from sun and traffic. Menu: hot or cold tea and coffee. I chose a small, iced Green Tea for $ 2.20. Very refreshing. Optional flavorings for Green or Black tea: mango, peach, berry can be added to spice up your drink. Oddly, they don’t have lemon wedges.(Will try coffee once the SoCal heatwave subsides.) Sliced cake, donuts, bagels, and the usual assortment of sweets tease the eyeballs. Basic condiments — sugar, sugar-free packets, cream, utensils, napkins. Nothing fancy or elaborate. Customer service is ok. A little slow, but I’m chalking that up to newness. One register for the drive-thru window, with one or two cashiers to serve inside patrons. An additional 3 – 4 baristas fulfill orders.(I was there about 10am on a weekday.) Lots of parking surrounds the shop, but most people are in a rush so they use the drive-thru or grab their coffee and dash away. Now that summer is over it’ll be interesting to see how traffic ebbs and flows. When this building was a drug store lots of parents used the parking lot to pick up their junior & high school students. We’ll see if that practice resumes.

I’m one of those who prefer CBTL’s coffee over Starbucks. I was super excited when i found out they were opening one near our area! The line’s get really long in the morning, but they’re quick with the drinks. So far, my orders have been coming out great! Plenty of outlets, so if you’re thinking of coming by to study or just use your laptop, you’re all juiced up!

Came here on the first day it opened, and three times more that week. LOL. I have been waiting soooooooooo long for a CBTL to open in this area! I have constantly complained about that lame stand by The Home Depot(sorry they just don’t do the ice blended right) so you can imagine my excitement and relief about this brand new location! But enough about me. This location is very spacious — it has enough indoor and outdoor seating to create a chill/relaxed vibe without feeling lonely(as opposed to Starbucks’ chaotic hussle vibe). This place also has a DRIVETHRU. Omg(bye Cerritos locations). The staff is also very welcoming and pleasant! I love CBTL in general but this location takes the cake. I lowkey hope it doesn’t get too popular hehe. PS. The boyfriend says they need a bike rack though :)

Heading into this newly open site, and having been to other’s as well, we knew that CBTL truly stands for Coffee’s Best Taste Loved! With that being said, this truly offers every item you want in a coffee/tea cup or glass along with various snacks, sandwiches, and desserts! Ordering our drinks, they are created in a quality manner which praises your thirst-driven desire. You order or modify the drinks to your heart and body’s content. It is a wonderfully designed coffee house where you can drink, eat, and chat! Will never stop heading there and am very pleased it is there!
