Great place and great service. They really attend to you and make you feel welcome. The owner will even come by ask if there is any you need. Had the teriyaki and sushi combo, on the spot. The waitresses here make great recommendations and know how accommodate you. Nice little gem surrounded by offices. Tv’s on the wall always playing sports

Sushi Ya is one of my most favorite restaurants! I’ve been coming here for about 10 years. Although the restaurant has been through a couple owners and minor changes here and there, to me it always feels like home. The rolls are very filling, large pieces. Huge selection, even though I usually stay true to my favorites, Fire Crunchy roll and Albacore delight!!! Sushi YAAAAAA!!! Love you guys!

Awesome cunchy spicy tuna! hot saki is delish this will be my regular spot for an after work sushi spot. Service was excellent! Not to mention the delish gyoza!

The sushi chief called my friend and myself, sorry for the language but this is exactly what he said to us so I feel its necessary to be honest. He called us, «basic bitches», because I ordered a California roll at the sushi bar. At first I was completely shocked, than my friend and I were completely out raged. The fact that he felt he could speak to us in that manner is simply ridiculous. When I asked what his name was from another person who works there, they said his name is Samuel. And that he was a «crazy» coworker. That’s what his coworker said to me when I was asking for a manager. I find it ridiculous that this type of behavior is acceptable in a business establishment.
After he said it, I asked him, «Excuse me, what did you just say?» When he continued to say, «You heard me, which one of you is the basic bitch?» I couldn’t believe what he had just said. I told him he was extremely rude and that he had no right to speak to us like that. He said, «well yeah, I’m an asshole.»
This is suppose to be a business and I was harassed by the sushi chief. When I went to the front to speak with a manager, I was told there was NO MANAGER. How can there not be someone in charge to listen to customer complaints? I was outraged. I was taking my friend here for lunch because I’ve had take out from here before and everything was fine. This was the first and last time I will waste my money at a place that feels it appropriate to call customers BITCHES. Since its Saturday, I was told no manager will be in until Monday. AGAIN, I found this to be ridiculous. but when Monday comes around, you better believe I’m calling this place and complaining to «the manager» who only seems to work Monday-​Friday.
I warn you, never eat at this place. Its not worth the price or the disrespect. My friend and I were only looking for a nice lunch, not to be treated like trash by a sushi restaurant.
HAPPY Update: Changed my one star to a three. Not because of the sushi chief. But because I spoke with Sam, the manager. I just want to say he was an absolutely pleasure to speak with. He listened to me, he heard my frustration and shared that frustration with me. My review above was based on anger from the situation wth the sushi chief. Now I want to update with the fact that the manager was thoughtful and caring. Thank you Sam. For making this situation better for me. I hope you have a wonderful day today. And I will be back in again! Don’t give up on this place just yet. They have a really good manager, Thank you again Sam.

Best service ever! Everyone is sooo nice! The beef teriyaki and tempura are a must. I love their spider roll sushi.
Complimentary ice cream is nice add-​on!

Great place to eat. Sushi chefs are awesome! Highly recommend. Great staff and take out is always a plus!

Very fresh quality fish and good service. Price is a little bit high but you get what you pay for. Never had a bad experience here and I’ve been here twice now.

This is my favorite place for sushi, chicken teriyaki and ramen! With the cold weather the spicy ramen has been my choice lately. I just want to compliment the exceptional service. The staff is friendly and attentive. On every visit we are always genuinely check on and thanked by the manager. My children even love the food!
We also really enjoy the ambiance and great music.

Mrs Son-​the owner, is so kind and brings our daughter complimentary shrimp tempura and refills on edamame!
Everyone is so kind. The food is excellent, and the restaurant is kept clean and well maintained.

I’ve been here once before and had the lunch special with chicken katsu, which wasn’t really anything to write home about (I thought it was bland), but I reconsidered coming here for the sushi after my friend mentioned it.
Well, I absolutely enjoyed my dinner here on a Saturday night. My friend and I chose to sit at the sushi bar, which I recommend you do. The chefs were very nice and entertaining, not to mention helpful. When I asked for seared tuna, one of them suggested getting regular tuna instead, so that’s what we got, plus two orders of salmon (because it was that fresh and delicious), yellowtail belly, and uni (so buttery and amazing!!!). Upon the chef’s suggestions we also got the fatty tuna (we were sold after «I’ve got a killer fatty tuna»), salmon belly, and salmon skin roll (SO good!). I feel like we ordered more, but I can’t remember now. I do know everything was tasty and the rice-​to-​fish ratio was on point (more fish than rice). On top of all that, the chef also hooked us up with a stuffed jalapeño appetizer, we got complimentary miso soup and edamame before the sushi came and ice cream (get the plum!) after, which was all very much appreciated.
I live very close by and I really wish I’d come here for the sushi sooner because I was missing out this whole time. On the bright side I now know that whenever I’m craving sushi I don’t need to go far. As far as the prices go, they’re reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I am surprised by how rudely we were treated today. Accused of «not tipping» by the cashier. She stated «your not going to tip?» to which my friend replied there is cash on the table and some will be tipping on their cards. I’m not sure when it became acceptable to treat customers so rudely…
There are other sushi spots that I’d rather spend money at.

First time here I got the Salmon Belly Sashimi ($ 16– 6 thickly-​generous slices) and the Premium Chirashi Bowl ($ 29– Chef’s choice).
A few days ago I had a Salmon hand roll ($ 6.50– Big and Fresh) and a UFO roll… salmon is really fresh, one of my favorites for sure. Will definitely comeback.
Oh and you get complimentary Plum or Green Tea Ice Cream. (PLUM is really delicious).

Ordered:
1. Yakisoba with marinated chicken. Noodles were perfectly seasoned and textured. Veggies: nice medley of sauteed mushrooms, red & green bell pepper, cabbage, julienne carrots. YUM!
2. Shrimp tempura with dipping sauce. Lunch special. Served with rice, salad, pickled cucumbers, ¼ orange.
Both meals included miso soup.
We visited between Lunch and Dinner. Nice sized crowd.

Look at this BEAUTIFUL setting done by Master Sushi Chef Sam! Every time me and my family go here, we are greeted with such warm welcoming and the chefs are amazing!
Fish is NEVER frozen and always melt in your mouth goood!

This place is fantastic! The servers and chefs are so friendly every time I come. The fish always looks and tastes wonderful.
Su has been our server the last couple times and she is always so sweet! I definitely recommend this place and can’t wait to come back :)

Family service– such a great atmosphere, perfect for dates, watching the game or a family dinner. We have celebrated our children’s birthdays here! We are regulars of Sushi Ya and are so blessed to have such a great restaurant with high quality fish and service all in one. We have not had a bad experience once– eat here at least 4x per month. All of the servers are kind and expedient. The owners are gracious hosts! We love Su, Ann, Eunice and Choi they are like family. We highly recommend Sushi Ya.

Best sushi place around the area i’d say – in summary: fresh & generous sized portions.
They served me edamame while waiting for my ordered food & also offered miso soup (both for FREE!). I then got my sushi fix: yellowtail belly, albacore & seared tuna
i had to have one more, went for smoke salmon sushi –o.m.g. really good & fresh! they finished me off with an ice cream at the end (FREE, too). What’s not to love? They leave me no reason to skimp on star ratings more to make my point lol

This is my third time here and the service /​quality of goods coming out from this kitchen has been consistently superb, the flavors oishi.
I’ve come w/​a party of about six peeps everytime, and the following order has proven to satisfy a group of this size: a large boat (sashimi and roll combo served on a large wooden boat), a few appetizers, and the special seafood soup (served with rice). That my friends = high quality sushi dinner w/​fix’ns for a large party @ about $ 20~$ 25 a person (this includes a couple of beers and sake bottles, also reasonably priced)
No wonder this place is packed. It’s a fav sushi spot amongst locals. 5 bright stars.

Food is okay here. It’s not really your” «authentic» Japanese restaurant.
Came here for lunch with my co-​workers. I ordered the «healthy roll» which was a roll made with cucumber wrap on the outside. This was pretty good, there was just too much imatation crab compared to fish.
Two of my other co-​workers ordered ramen. They both expected the ramen to be the Japanese kind of ramen. Instead, they got korean instant ramen that could be made at home… There was nothing else in the ramen (no egg, vegetables or anything).
Our server also messed up my other co-worker’s order. They forgot 2 things that we ordered. A lot of wrong orders also came to our table as well.
I wouldn’t come here if it wasn’t right next to my work.
