Terrible service, I’m very sad to say. My family and I have been coming here for years, ever since Niko Niko Sushi opened at the Towne Center. Sadly, even though we bring lots of family and friends here and we are always polite and friendly with them, they never return on their end. After we finished eating our food, we waited for 25 minutes with no server coming to check on us. We kept trying to get their attention, until finally I had to actually call them over to take our dessert order, and for water refills. When the dessert finally came out(the coconut mango ice cream), it looked nothing like the photo, and the server wasn’t sure if it was the same dessert or something else. The taste of the sushi & dessert were pretty good for the price, so that’s the only reason they earn two stars… and because we’ve been going there for so long, if mostly out of convenience since it’s so close to us. To cap off yet another unpleasant experience at Niko Niko, the manager(who we never actually saw) said the discount they advertised was not applicable because it was Memorial Day. There was only one other party actually eating in the place, and still they decided to be petty and unaccommodating, and falsely advertised their lower prices. It was pretty embarrassing to keep having bad experience after bad experience all in the same meal, since we had brought our family visiting from overseas and they were excited to try sushi. I knew they’d always been pretty lackluster when it came to service, but today was a new low that no longer made it worth it to deal with to come back just for the sushi and convenience of it being so close. Sad day.

The food. Is really good, their staff is friendly, and they get to recognize you if you are a returned customer. Their sushi rolls are over priced but really good though. But they have lunch specials on their bowls or combination boxes.

This place is a complete disappointment. The sushi is OK and way overpriced. Oh, and the 15%off $ 25 or more is false. The owner just smiles and says that the 2nd beer for $ 1 is equivalent to 15%. What? That makes no sense. He obviously doesn’t know his math.

Initially I thought $ 8 was a good price for buggogi, but then I tried it and it was a bowl of untrimmed fatty beef… lame!

Very popular location in the Cerritos Towne Center. Located next to the movie theater and other big name stores. They have indoor and outdoor seating with a beautiful view of the water fountain. The restaurant is very small inside but its clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and somewhat attentive. The sushi was average, nothing special. Ordered items: The crunch Roll and the spicy tuna roll with spicy mayo and eel sauce on the side. A friend of mine was interested to try sushi for the first time, so we gave Niko Niko a shot! We came in and were seated very quickly. We ordered our drinks and 2 rolls. The staff brought out complimentary edamame. The waiter was a bit slow with the refills, but it was okay. The rolls came out and my friend was a bit skeptical about Sushi. The crunch roll was large and consisted of crab meat, avocado, rice and shrimp. I noticed the roll hardly had any shrimp. We ordered a side a spicy mayo and was brought to us 5 minutes later. The spicy tuna roll was too plain and the rolls were quite small. My friend tried it and said«its okay». Overall, it was an interesting experience for my friend. Im kinda bummed out he thought sushi was just okay. Cerritos is filled with lots of competition when it comes to sushi. I didn’t think this sushi joint was the greatest, but maybe ill be back to give it another shot.

Went for a quick lunch break meal, asking for a salmon bowl which is super delicious and good services. It’s faster than I thought.

Disappointing and overpriced. My salmon roll(fuji roll) was pretty bland. I say it’s overpriced because the rice for the rolls don’t even taste like sushi rice. It just taste like plain rice. I paid 12 bucks for rolls that aren’t even properly made. Not everyone is stupid and doesn’t know how sushi rice is suppose to taste. Never coming back here and I suggest you guys are better off finding another spot for sushi. The pictures on the menu look better than they taste.

We were lucky to get a table before an endless stream of people came walking in. Perhaps it’s because of the long weekend. After placing our order, it took over half an hour to get our food. We ordered a combo of sushi and sashimi and a couple of udon with katsu. If I was rating based solely on food it would be more stars. The salad that came with the katsu was awesome. Portions are huge. You have to add $ 1 after 3pm for the specials though. The sushi rice was just right and and fish was pretty fresh. The katsu was absolutely well done. You can tell the oil is fresh and the coating is just right. They were super crispy. The portions for the udon in particular was small. They charged $ 1 for green tea which they took a long time to refill. Not sure if it’s because they’re understaffed for the long weekend but a lot of people were getting upset at the wait.

Such great service. It doesn’t matter who your waiter was, they worked as a team and asked us what we needed. We felt super comfortable here. My husband has a favorite here… the sashimi salad bowl. So super yummy and healthy!!! It has tuna, salmon, lettuce and yummy dressing. You won’t be disappointed!!!

They didn’t give me my damn water. It was highly offensive and I suspect racism. If your dehydrated I do not recommend this place. *update* I have received my water

I only come here for lunch. This isn’t your«typical» Japanese/sushi joint. It’s Japanese/Korean infusion restaurant. They have speciality rolls, bento boxes, and sashimi salads. However, they also have bibimbap and Korean style fried chicken wings. From the lunch special, I usually get their sashimi salad which comes with a big bowl of sashimi salad, a bowl of rice, and a hot miso soup. For just, $ 9.50 I feel like it’s really worth it. The salad is light and refreshing. I also have tired their bibimbap, which was delicious, but I wished they add more vegetables and beef. It’s just a lot of rice. Other than that, it tastes yummy. I would definitely come back here for their fried chicken and beer! The wait staff is very nice and attentive. No complaints there!

My husband and I originally came to Niko Niko for the sushi but one day saw that they have chicken! We ordered one and sorry to say, we never order sushi anymore.(The fried chicken is just THAT good) We go at least twice a month and we always order the original fried chicken with spicy sauce on the side with extra radish. The crispness is just right and one portion is more than enough for two people. In terms of service, I give them 5 stars. The manager is always kind and they have this one lady server who is always bubbly and SO attentive whenever we go.

I feel like they don’t have much selection of rolls. Ended up getting Spicy Tuna Roll and it’s alright. I like that the size is not overly big. The quality is so so, it didn’t satisfy my craving. Our waitress is nice and very quick. I feel like she’s in a hurry, but I think she’s just naturally fast.

First time here. Start off service was great and wait time for food was quick and abrupt. Their menu is said to be expanded and they now offer a variety of fried chicken in the form of boneless or Bone in wings. The waiter recommended the lemon pepper chicken boneless so we ordered that. It was marinated with lemon and orange and seemed to taste like orange chicken with a hint or lemon and a little spice. We also had some Hawaiian poki salad. Also I have to say the Servings are HUGE here. The sushi we ordered were the rice less sushi since a lot of us are on a protein diet which makes me want to come back here.

3 stars is about right. This place is extremely average in terms of taste and service. Most of the items were very repetitive. I think there were 3 different sushi plates that each had salmon and cream cheese. Therefore, the options weren’t too great if you want a variety of flavors, which I definitely do when I eat sushi. The actual taste of the food was ok enough that you kept eating, but not good enough to want to order another plate of the same kind. The price was reasonable. We paid $ 70 for about 6 different plates, a sea urchin sushi that came with 2 rolls, and a hot tea. I don’t think we’ll ever be back. I went with my boyfriend, dad, and stepmom and we all agreed it was terribly average and we were disappointed.

Best deal in Southern California for a sashimi salad. I’ve had many sashimi salads in my life, and this one beats them all hands down. They give you a huge amount of salmon, tuna, yellow tail and other fish of the season, on a huge bed of salad. Comes with a bowl of miso soup, rice, and edamame. All that for $ 10. I’m such a regular here that the waitress no longer needs to take my order and basically just brings out«the usual». Make sure when ordering this to dine in, as that’s where you get the huge portion. The to go version is skimpy, but still a better deal than the usual sashime salads you order at your average or high scale Japanese restaurant.

Lots of variety of sushi. & right now there is buy 1 roll get another roll 50% off! I love this place for the different variations of sushi they offer, but I do wish they had more salmon or yellowtail in their rolls(since most of them have spicy tuna). This place is pretty good, but there’s a lot better out there. Overall, I recommend for the value

I’m not a huge fan of rolls or Japn food, but started coming here more because they now serve Korean pa-dak, which is fried chicken(plain or with sweet spicy garlic sauce) and marinated scallions. Pa-dak is great with a cold beer. The servers and sushi men here are really nice. We shared some beer with the sushi men because we didn’t realize the beer was so big. The food is reasonably priced and if you dine in, you can bogo ½ off the sushi roll menu. If you’ve never had Korean pa-dak, you must come in and try some! It’s a total Korean fad, but a most delicious one.

***3.5 stars*** Pretty decent sushi if you’re up for a quick fix. I was here on Halloween night, so the restaurant was quite empty. They have a nice selection of sushi rolls and other typical Japanese options. –Baked green mussels: the mussels were small and overloaded with mayo sauce but it was good. –Salmon skin salad: one of the best dishes; huge portion and the flavor was on point! –Mix sashimi/sushi platter: an assortment of nigiri; decent fishes but not the best quality; decent. –Combo platter: you can pick two or three items. I picked terriyaki beef, crunch rolls, and sashimi(tuna and salmon). The combo came with miso soup, a huge salad, and white rice. It was a lot of food! Service was excellent, but the restaurant was empty of course. I’m not sure how the service is here on a regular night. The price is affordable.
