The food and drinks are the best. Service can bump it up a notch, but honestly it’s worth the wait. I love the super casual atmosphere! I genuinely come here for the food and chavelas, not the service. When you come strictly for the food, regardless of the good or bad service, your restaurant is doing something right! Los Corrales is tucked into the corner next to Union Bank so it’s kind of hard to see. If it wasn’t by Union Bank I wouldn’t have spotted it. The restaurant inside isn’t anything fancy and there’s nothing exciting about the way it looks inside or out. It is well kept and clean. The food is good and to me it is authentic. Tonight I ordered the Papa Sincronizada. It is carne asada, monterey cheese, perfectly grilled onions, a little slice of avocado, a grilled pepper and mashed potatoes. It is delicious and a lot more filling than you think it is going to be when you see it. They have a decent selection of the types of beer you would expect them to have. The service is very friendly and usually prompt. If you go on Friday it is usually packed so the service can be a little slow but nothing to get upset about. Oh yeah, the flour tortillas were awesome.

Food is excellent ! I don’t have any complaints, service is great! They do take quite some time to bring the food but it’s worth the wait. Try #tacosgovernador

The service is really bad here. They have 4 ladies waitressing & they don’t know how to manage their time nor how to waitress. They need help, especially hiring a busser for the tables. They are constantly needing to be cleaned & picked up for the next customer. The food is good but not worth the long wait.

Horrible service. Staff is friendly but they prefer to be talking in the back instead of attending their customers. Had to ring the bell about 10 times for them to notice me. Food is ok, not the best. Takes about 40 minutes to get your food and don’t even bother to check if you need refills. Save your money and go to the one in coachella.

I am hesitant to write this, as I don’t want this place to get any more popular than it already is. I live in Palm Springs, but work in north Indio. Whenever I have to cross the 10 freeway, I make it a point to come here. I’ve gotten the chilaquiles plate nearly every time. The chilaquiles are some of the best I have ever had. They come with beans and a sweet tamal.(I’m not a big fan of the sweet tamal, but these are like candy.) The beans are not pinto beans, but I find them absolutely delicious. When you sit down, they bring you some nice chips and a metal contraption that has pepino, limes, 2 kinds of salsa and some«guacamole.» The guacamole is super whipped and light, almost foamy. It is hard to describe and sounds nasty, but I would eat a piece of wood, if it was covered in that stuff. Yes, it is that tasty. The regular tamales are huge. 2 of them would knock you on your butt. The tamal plate comes with 2 tamales, beans and some macaroni salad. Yes, I was surprised by that, too. That macaroni salad is pretty damn tasty, though. I’ve seen other people find the service lacking. I haven’t had that experience at all.

Horrible service; took forever to get refills, food, attention, the bill, pretty much felt like I was with my mother. My friend ordered the shrimp cocktail, she asked what was in it, they said«the basics — cucumber, onion, shrimp», never did they say it had chili. My friend said it was very spicy, so I tried one and it was definitely spicy. She didn’t eat the rest of it, my food was okay, but I was starving, having not eaten breakfast so I probably could have eaten top ramen and I would have sworn it was gourmet soup. When my friend asked for a discount, not even asking for it to be free, the cashier, who was also our waitress, Maria, said that she had already asked the manager when the food was sent back and she stated that she wouldn’t give her a discount because she counted the shrimp that were left and there weren’t enough left over — not sure how that makes sense but okay. Do not eat there unless it is the last place on earth serving food and even then think about it.

I am a regular here. Its our favorite place and the people that give it less than 4 stars are white people that have no clue what real mexican food is

The worst customer service ever! They take fore ever to bring your food to the table and they don’t come back to your table with drinks until your face is turning purple. :(never going back.

I love this place. The food is so good with very reasonable prices. The portions are plenty and satisfying. Can accomodate a large party. Highly recommend.

If it wasn’t for the hit and miss service, I’d give this place five stars. The food is always good though. Their menudo is something I crave on the weekends. They make their own corn tortillas, so that’s a huge plus.

Great Papas Sincronizada and Carne Asada Burritos. And I’m told some of the best Modelo Chabelas. Unfortunately, the restaurant is understaffed and the server can get overwhelmed during a rush, but ordering our food to-go has kept Los Corrales on our rotation. Not only is the food great, but their prices are affordable. Be sure to try all of their salsa’s when delivered to your table; they have great authentic flavors and compliment the food nicely. The location couldn’t be more convenient either!

My friend and I arrived right when the doors opened and the first ones there. A waitress came and greeted us, sat us down and right away brought us water and horchatas. We were the only ones there when we ordered our food. More people started showing up and around one hour later, other people got their food first, ate, burped and finished before my friend and I received our food. When we pointed it out to the waitress that we have been waiting for our food for one hour and we werent burping, and we were the first to arrive, the waitress in a rude manner told us that we should have said something about it sooner. So after talking to the waitress, our food came out in 3 minutes. The tamales and the chiles rellenos with arroz were cold to the touch. When we started eating our food, it was nasty because the grease was greatly overpowering. We told the waitress that we didn’t like the food and she told us to never come back if we didn’t like it. So I don’t intend to go back. I prefer to starve than to go there.

The homemade corn tortillas are good. The end. That’s it. Maybe I don’t like Sinaloan food and never realized it before today. I could list everything I tried but it really doesn’t matter because it’s all the same: flavorless. Even the salsa caddy they set on your table was lacking anything with flavor.

The food here is great. It is different than others. To bad there service is horrible. I always go back for another shot and 1 out of 6 time the service was ok. I had something once that was un edible and they were on hell bent me paying for it anyways. I complained on that and she said well i will pack it for you to go. If I cant eat it there i cant eat it at home. Regardless I paid for it as she demanded. Mind you this was 1 item out of a large meal and multiple drinks. So its not like it was the only thing I ordered. Again food is good. But if you have any kind of a complaint or have any kind of schedule. Do not come here. Fair warning.
