Hands down one of the best steak houses ive ever been to. Only gripe is that its so far from OC. Wish Mastros was this good! Literally licked every plate clean and will return anytime we are in the area. Call ahead to ensure they are open as they have somewhat funky hours. A+++++++

Have been here numerous times since they opened. The food is very good and the restaurant ambiance is as well. However…the dining room management is horrific. We always make reservations, but we waited for 45 minutes for a table during our previous two visits during the winter holidays. On our last visit, which we had a reservation for weeks in advance, and when we arrived on time we were told we had to sit outside when it was 51 degrees that night. They called to confirm the reservation, so couldn’t they have informed us there would only be seating outside. We opted to leave. We ran into the hotel manager while waiting for our car and told him we were tired of the«deer in the headlights looks» from the two airheads at the restaurant’s front desk. He offered to help, but quite frankly three screw ups in a row with a regular customer is too much for us.

Very nice steakhouse in La Quinta. I highly recommend sitting outside, the little tables outside have their own fireplace. Very cozy during the winter evenings. I wish I could give it the 5 stars it deserves, except our service was not exactly… Good. Our server kept forgetting to bring our water. She forgot what cocktails we wanted — she took our order, was gone for about 5 minutes then came back and re-asked our order. She was very forgetful and didn’t really seem to care. Whatever. The food was good, highly recommend the cheese plate.

La Quinta resort is beautiful. We had never stayed there, usually we stay elsewhere and do dinner at the resort, because the grounds are amazing, especially night, it’s lite perfect. This time we stayed there and it was very nice. It’s definitely an older crowd(45 – 70) so don’t expect a lot of energy. But it’s worth seeing and staying there if you can afford it or want to celebrate a special occasion. MORGAN’S: This restaurant is very good, we’ve been to it various times and it has always delivered. Service is great and the food is very tasty. They don’t have a huge menu, but you can’t really go wrong with anything on there. We had the Rib Eye, Short Ribs and they very good. But if you want sides or any sauce with your steak, it is an extra charge, so my Rib Eye was around $ 56 because I got Parmesan fries and a sauce with it(I wanted spinach, but they don’t offer it, why!!!). They do try to get too creative and too fancy at times. I wanted a nice simple salad to start, but they did not have one. I’m tired of Caesar salad at every place and I’m more tired of every menu calling it «Classic, Original, traditional Caesar». So I went with the oysters. I love oysters, but I had to fix these for them to taste good. They put minced apple and a frozen sweet wine on them. So once I ate the first one it was very sweet, but I was also eating ice with it. Definitely was not working for me. So I took the minced Apple and sweet shaved ice off them. Asked for horseradish and lemon, made my horseradish, lemon pepper, salt sauce and put it on my oysters and walla! It’s a good place in the desert and it’s good energy. But like I said, they do tend to get too creative at times and sometimes it may not work…

Wow! Talk about customer service… I recently spent the weekend at La Quinta Resort & Club for my birthday with my boyfriend and Morgan’s was the icing on the cake for this trip. On Friday night we sat outside for a bottle of wine and cigar. We were greeted by Jessica who had a great personality and made us feel right at home. She was attentive and personal and we felt like we had known her for years. We then spoke to the sommelier, Lisa, who helped us pick out a great bottle of wine. We were at a table with a fire pit but none of the fires were on because the weather was still warm for the season… we asked the gentleman who brought us water if he could turn it on and he went into the back, found a tank of propane and lit it just for us. On Saturday night, we had dinner reservations at Morgan’s at 8pm but decided to go at 7 for drinks at the bar. We walked in and spotted Jessica right away who came over to us immediately, shook our hands and remembered both of our names — we were impressed. We sat down at a small table and couch for pre-dinner martinis in their amazingly decorated bar area with a live piano player next to us. Lisa then saw us, came over and checked on us and came back with glasses of champagne and toasted to our stay. Now we were really impressed. We sat down to dinner at one of the best tables in the restaurant located by the fireplace. Our server was Jason who was amazing! We started with the fresh market soup which was to die for. Presentation was everything and the flavors were HUGE! He was so knowledgable and friendly. Jessica and Lisa both continuously checked on us to make sure we were having a great time. The food was phenomenal which matched their attention to detail and overall service. We had the ahi tuna steak and NY strip with macaroni cheese gratin. We finished the meal with salted caramel ice-cream and vanilla ice-cream and donuts. I felt so special at this dinner and planning our next trip there! I recommend this beautiful establishment over and over again! As for Jessica if you can! What a gem.

Absolutely LOVE this place!!! My husband and I recently celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary here. When I made the reservation I mentioned it would 1) be our first time there, 2) we wanted to sit close to the piano bar, and 3) we celebrating our anniversary that night. When we arrived, Morgan’s did not disappoint !!! EVERYTHING was top notch– fabulous! We had the BEST table in the house-right next to the pianist, AND the Morgan’s staff signed a card that was waiting for us on our table :) The pianist/entertainment was awesome! We even enjoyed dancing to quite a few songs! HIGHLY recommend Morgan’s In The Desert. We hope to be back very soon :-) Thanks Morgan’s for making our 15th wedding anniversary so special !!

I was celebrating my parents 23rd anniversary so we decided to eat here for a special dinner. Restaurant is only open for dinner service so I made a reservation for 6:15. Seeing reviews before hand, I saw that you can make special requests for birthdays/celebrations and they would have a hand written card or something of that nature so I made sure when I called my reservation to mention that it was a special celebration of my parents 23rd. Host made sure and noted it down yet once we got there, nothing was prepared. A little disappointed at that. Morgans is located inside the La Quinta Resort and Spa in Palm Desert and is an elegant restaurant with hacienda inspired décor. Has a beautiful patio option but being in the desert, it was definitely too hot to be sitting outside. Even inside, there were many flies that were bothering us during our entire meal… Artisan Linguine(22) — grilled asparagus, Meyer lemon, parsley and a Wagyu bacom gremolata. Too much asparagus and not enough linguine. A lot of flavors but the acidity of the Meyer lemon really overpowered the dish. Still delicious. Porcini salt crusted Alaskan Halibut(34) — chanterelles and beluga lentil ragout with a tellicherry pepper froth. Fish was a little dry. The lentil ragout and chanterelles added a lot of flavor to the dish. Hazelnut crusted Top Hill Farms spring lamb(44) — asparagus and chanterelle ragout with a forest herb essence. Meat was tender and very juicy. Probably my favorite dish of the night. JD Ranch Wagyu New York Strip 12 oz(54) — chargrilled«medium» with parmigiano fries. Definitely a tender steak. It was cooked a little too much for my liking. I asked for medium I got more of a medium well. The steak itself was $ 44 and the fries as well as any other sides were an extra $ 10. A little disappointing knowing that the Wagyu steak is the chef’s specialty. Buttered popcorn ice cream parfait(9.5) — bittersweet chocolate and sea salted carmel popcorn with vanilla ice cream. I can honestly make this at home. They said that this was the biggest dessert on the menu. I do not think they know the definition of big. Carmel popcorn mixed into ice cream and drowned in fudge. Nothing special. For the amount we paid for the meal, I was expected to be blown away. Although the food was all delicious, I do not think it was worth the price we paid for the entire meal. Yes, it was definitely a nice and elegant meal for celebration but I believe it is a little over the top. TL;DR — A very nice restaurant. Very fancy. Simplistic menu with elegant prices. Blown away with the check at the end rather than the food that came out. Definitely a one visit type of restaurant.

Magnificent restaurant totally worth every penny. Our server Parker and his team was phenomenal. Extremely attentive and friendly! The food was cooked to PERFECTION. We had the Artisan Cheeses as an appetizer, Pan Roasted Nova Salmon(medium-well), and the Fire Grilled all natural Pork Chop(medium-well), all brought out in a timely manner. We had a terrific experience here and would recommend to anyone visiting the Palm Springs area.

This restaurant is a must! Everything … Honestly everything is delicious! Every time I come to this resort I have to eat here. The GM is incredibly knowledgeable about the food and wine and runs an amazing restaurant. I usually choose the wagyu steak because they cook it to perfection, but everything I’ve tasted here is worth every calorie!!! Make sure to save room for dessert!!! They make everything in house, even the bread!

I was extremely happy with our experience at Morgan’s. The food was truly amazing and the service was top notch. It was my birthday in which they had our table set up with a birthday card and served an amazing dessert(Carmel corn and ice cream, amazing). For dinner I had this seared ahi tuna, seasoned and cooked to perfection. My husband had duck, wow is all I can say. We shared the Mac and cheese, which was ok, however their fries and dipping sauce was very good! Once again the food was all seasoned to perfection. We would love to go back on our next trip. This place is affordable and is the best restaurant at the resort! In addition, this is one of my top 2 favorite restaurants.

A beautiful location in the La Quinta resort. Impeccable food and service. This is fine dining, at its finest. :) Chef is thoughtful, creative in his dishes. Every course from salad to dessert was well-balanced, beautifully plated and incredibly delicious. There were many oohs– and –aahs with each bite. Outstanding!

We were staying at the resort and popped by for dinner. Perhaps we came on an off night, but we couldn’t get out of here fast enough. They were understaffed, yet they all seemed annoyed, frazzled and slow. Literally every table around us had issues. The table to our left was waiting over an hour to get their food — one guy had asked for a margarita 3 times. In the hour we were there it NEVER came and the waitress kept telling him she forgot and it would be comped. The table to our right ended up calling out the manager. When we were waiting to be seated I heard a lady saying ‘we’ve been waiting for almost 40 mins past our reservation and we’re so hungry — please just seat us anywhere’. Our food was just okay, nothing special. The crowd was also a lot of sloppy drunks — entertaining but not the least romantic. Also, the popcorn ice cream is very overrated. It’s just ice cream with burnt caramel corn. Bottom line, if it’s busy, I’d say skip it. It doesn’t seem like they can handle a full house. We had a better meal at twenty6, another restaurant on site.

Best… salmon… ever! Seriously. I’m not joking or giving you Unilocal-y hyperbole. This was single-handedly the best salmon dish I’ve ever had at a restaurant. My friends and I had the distinct pleasure of dining recently at Morgan’s(located in the posh La Quinta Resort). Initially, we were just going to grab a cocktail and appetizer by their outside fire-pit. But as luck would have it, a table opened up inside, so we quickly activated Plan-B. And boy oh boy, I love it when a good Plan B comes together. Morgan’s is certainly known for their meats. My friends wound up ordering their Porcini Crusted All Natural Filet(which comes with grilled mushrooms, comte gratin & cabernet emulsion) Judging by the«ooohs» and«ahhs» I heard after every bite, they were quite pleased with their entrée. As for me, I opted for the salmon. Don’t get me wrong — I love me a nice cut of beef. But after a long day of desert sun, tennis-watching, and a few strong margaritas, I wanted something more on the lighter side. So per the server’s recommendation, I went with the Pan Roasted Nova Salmon (which comes with roasted pumpkin & quinoa risotto ginger froth & crispy ginger salad). This was the most perfectly balanced seafood dish I have ever had. Every bite was just a rainbow of delicious flavors. And the generous piece of salmon was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. It’s been almost a week since I’ve dined here and I’m still thinking about this dish. In fact, I was genuinely sad when I finished my plate. A few things worth noting… Morgan’s ain’t cheap. My salmon dish cost $ 32(but for my money, it was worth every damn penny). Service was friendly, but a little slow. That being said, if you’re nursing one of their stiff cocktails(I had their Old Fashioned), you won’t mind the wait. Best of all, Morgan’s boasts a lively piano bar. The pianist crooned everything from Sinatra to contemporary hits, and his soundtrack certainly enhanced our over all dining experience. Look, I don’t often eat at restaurants that serve $ 30+ salmon. But if you’re in the Palm Springs/Palm Desert area, Morgan’s is totally worth the expense. This is first-class dining all the way!

We drove out to the desert… Small sand storm and everything. My boyfriend took me here this past weekend for an early birthday celebration. Our server, Marilyn, was super sweet! We had soup for appetizer(no butter or salt added)… It was only okay. For entrée, boyfriend ordered the New York steak, which he said was amazing! I had the Salmon with quinoa. Salmon was so good!!! Quinoa was ehhh. But the fries!!! We ordered the parmigiano fries and the garlic fries. Both were delicious! Loved it even more when you mix it together! :) I was too full to enjoy any dessert after. The resort was beautiful. The décor inside Morgan’s was nice and comfortable. Valet available.

We decided to stay at La Quinta resort last minute and dine at Morgans. We called and they were booked! I asked the hostess to please let us know if she had a cancellation. We we so lucky and got a call back. From the hostess to our server Zack we were well taken care of. The service were outstanding. My hunny and I shared the white truffles and they were excellent! I ordered the lamb entrée which was one of the the best lambs I’d ever had. My hunny had the steak which he said was good. The wine list was great, we order a Justin :). Our dessert was yummy! A tasty bread pudding. again great. The ambiance in Morgan’s is very relaxing. Enjoyed our evening immensely!

Morgans offers a beautiful space at the La Quinta Resort. The service was impeccable. I would like to say we enjoyed the food but… When we made the reservation they said there were no seats inside, only patio. On arrival, restaurant is empty but they seat us on the patio. We were swarmed with flies the entire time. Very hard to enjoy dinner when flies are landing on your meat. We ate about half of the food and lost our appetite. We dined on filet and halibut, both were OK but the flies really killed the meal. We asked to take dessert inside so we can enjoy it. they said there was space in the Bar. The restaurant was half empty at this time. Dessert was not good(a sundae served in a glass with caramel corn. Spoon was too big for the glass so all the hot fudge and caramel pooled in the bottom making it impossible to get to). This may have been more enjoyable if enjoyed inside.

I ate here last weekend. We booked it on open table online and requested a booth which we got. The staff was very inviting and friendly when we walked in. The restaurant is very open, airy, and has a nice ambience. My husband and I started with a cauliflower soup that our server recommended. I’m not usually a cauliflower fan but it was excellent! Also excellent was the mac n cheese! The cocktail list was very pricey. $ 15 and up for their specialties. Our server was very attentive and professional and we had a good dining experience. It’s the nicest place to dine at la quinta.
