If you’re looking for comfort food at a fair price, check out Roosters. It was a long day and we didn’t want to cook so we stopped in. My daughter and I each got the chickadee dinner with chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, slaw and a biscuit. My husband ordered a larger version of the same. We started with the pickle fries which my daughter loves. Everything was delicious, the prices are great and the portions are generous.
As for the staff, they are friendly and attentive. Our drinks were refilled several times and the manager stopped by to make sure we were satisfied. We’ll be back!

Pickle fries and fried chicken!!! So good! Chicken fried steak was great and the mashed potatoes are delicious. We have gone back multiple times because it’s so good! Wish they would add waffles to the menu and I’d be back daily!
We went in around dinner time and it was busy but no wait to sit down.
Excited to try more next time.

It was OK. I am from LA and was hoping this place was kind of like Roscoes but unfortunately it was not. Still decent food but not for the price. I may give it a shot again one day.

Came here last night around 6:30 for dinner with the hubs and we were so impressed! We were seated promptly in a booth — the atmosphere is very casual, with TV’s everywhere playing whatever game is on. The menu has fried chicken combination plates, as well as hearty favorites if you’re in the mood for something different. I ordered the chicken pot pie, which is served more like a chicken and dumpling, rather than a pie — but still very very tasty! It was a giant bowl filled with chicken, carrots, peas, and that warm gooey gravy that was perfect for a rainy night. Topped with a huge flaky pastry. YUM!
Husband ordered the chicken fried chicken, served with creamed corn and mashed potatoes and gravy. He devoured it!
Service was very attentive and friendly, we will absolutely be back to try more of the menu. Thanks Unilocalers for the recommendations!

Absolutely amazing! The chicken is simple and perfect. A great place to relax with good home style cooking. Mac and cheese was incredible. The atmosphere is perfect! The food was steaming hot and nothing was soggy. I can not wait to bring more people here!

This place is what it seems. You can sum it up in one word. Carbohydrates. lol.
Beer, sports, social people, bad wine, basic salads, caring staff, friendly bartender.
I would suggest it, just don’t have high standards.

Yummy food! Quick & helpful service! Good portions! In & out within an hour easily!
I had all dark meat meal with mashed potatoes & gravy (other choice was shoestring fries) & coleslaw (fresh & not overly saturated with mayo), & warm biscuit (served with cool but spreadable butter… honey is on the table). YUM! Nicely seasoned, not too battery & not too salty! Yay!!! ‿)
Hubby got the French Dip… He loved it & scarfed it down! Haha
Ice tea was fresh & Angry Orchard was crisp just as advertised… haha
TV’s playing games were everywhere. Volume wasn’t too loud, but not quiet either. Low lighting. :-)
We’ll be back!
