The BLT salad is exceptional a wonderful way to start the meal. It was my favorite part of the meal followed by both desserts– bread pudding and Crème Brûlée. The service at first felt touch and go but the hostess kept an eye refilling the drinks and the server came through for the rest of the meal. I would recommend trying the Grill on Main and trying the BLT salad– very fresh tasting. Well done!

After my first 2 visits, I would rate this place a 3.25. The first time I sat outside, which has a nice atmosphere. I ordered the steak nachos and the filet medallions. The steak was cooked just right and the nachos were spectacular. The cheese was perfect! The Carne Asada was cooked just right, even when I couldn’t finish all of the chips I made sure all the meat was eaten. The second time that my fiancé and I came, we sat inside on a Saturday night just before 9(the only time we could get a seat). It was pretty loud and tough to hear each other as they had live music as well as it being very crowded(should have expected it as they do have a weekly band). I decided I would order the same thing as my first visit because it was so delicious and I was determined to finish off the nachos. Unfortunately, when the nachos came out I was a little disappointed. Not all of the cheese was melted and the meat seemed like the scraps from earlier that night. Both my fiancé and I got a a nasty piece of fat that we couldn’t chew. I used my napkin but she had to go to the bathroom to spit hers out. I was bummed. So we ended up picking out pieces of meat carefully and having to put the fat ones on the side. Then when I got my filet it was undercooked(which can happen anywhere), but it was just way too raw to enjoy. The waitress was notified and I got another one. The second one was better but over cooked this time. I didn’t say anything as I was already getting full. My fiancé on the other hand got the shrimp fettuccine and she absolutely loved it! So all in all I think it just was an off night for them. I’m sure I’ll be back again.

The two stars are for the polite, friendly waitress. We ordered the bacon mac & cheese, which was too close to Velveta shells & cheese for my taste, and lukewarm, at best. My crab cake managed to be both bland and faintly burned, but my husband enjoyed his fish tacos. With so many fantastic dining options in the desert, this one is off our list. Permanently.

The food had no flavor at all! And my lasagna was so cold and yet so pricey too! But I have to say the garlic bread was good lol

Cold food. Lasagna was bland cold inside. No flavor. Canned sauce more than likely. The mussels were broken and the lemon sauce was weak. No flavor. Bath water to say the least. Should have stuck with the tacos, salads and sliders. A real meal is out of their comfort zone

Great place to hang out for evening cocktails and snacks. I haven’t been for actual meal times, but for drinking and being outside its wonderful.

This place is the best Dining spot in all of La Quinta. I flew in from Seattle on Business for 4 days and I dined here twice within that time. The food is exceptional. But what blew me away the most was that my company pays me for what I spend while out of town and I forgot my receipt at the restaurant the night before. I was late for my flight and had no time to go back. The manager on staff(a lady) sorry don’t know her name but she was at work Friday the 13th of May at 1:40pm she did not hesitate to email me my receipt and was proud to do so. Way to go over and beyond. Premium service for sure. I am a BMW product specialist and providing a premium experience is part of my job and receiving this treatment in return was very big in my book. Thank you all and I will be back in the future.

Kitchen closes earlier than restaurant closes. We called ahead to check and the kitchen had closed at 930. Seemed a bit interesting to close so early on a busy weekend(Coachella weekend 1) but decided to go here for brunch the next day. Got seated at the bar straght away. Food came pretty quickly and bar tender lady was attentive. Food was ok. We got a salmon sandwich, Carne Asada tacos, and fish tacos. Fish was slightly undercooked but edible. Food needed some spice or something but some tapitio solved that I suppose. Drinks were also average, came at happy hour so was an OK price.

Had a group of girlfriends meet me here for happy hour. Staff accommodating to our party of 6. Said the right side of patio was for dinner guests and left side was happy hour. We settled in the bar area and pulled the high top tables together for our party. Bartender Vanessa came over and took our drink orders. Then server came and took our food request and within a short period of time our food arrived. Mushroom soup savory and tasty but hands down the fish tacos were great served with Cole slaw, tangy sauce. At happy hour you get three and they were quite generous. LaQuinta location in Old Town plenty of parking around back. A pleasant experience for locals and tourist a must stop.

A less than warm greeting, plastic in my salad, beets(in the salad) that weren’t even peeled, added chicken to the salad — it wasn’t included, and soggy coleslaw. Then was charged for WATER!

Very average food. Turkey dinner was just OK. Same with meatloaf. Salad was pretty decent and they split it for us, which was nice. There was a creepy old guy with TWO escorts sitting near us and making a bit of a scene. Wasn’t impressed by this place.

Y’all dumbasses need to update your hours or information in general. Arrived at 10 and told us the kitchen was closed. I wasn’t aware that this was similar to a bar in that you close the kitchen early and serve drinks till closing. Bye hoes

I stopped in here last weekend with a group of fairly rowdy gentlemen, after having been around the corner at the LQ brewing co. This was my second trip here, and both times have been fantastic. Our server this last weekend was nothing short of amazing. She was all about having fun with us, while making sure we were taken care of. As such, we pulled her into our shenanigans and proceeded to have an absolute blast. I’m fairly certain we all got burgers, beers, then more beers. Like I said, it was a fairly rowdy time. But seriously, the burger was cooked exactly how I ordered it, the beers were cold, and like I said, our waitress was a rockstar. I’m going to do my best to shake down my friends for her name so that management knows what a great job she did. Thanks for putting up with all our nonsense, it was greatly appreciated.

This is a great stop if you are in old town La Quinta. Food is very good and the wait staff friendly and helpful. Try the tempura cauliflower or calamari. We also enjoyed the blackened Ahi tuna Caesar and the turkey club — nice large and moist turkey pieces and the bacon was super. Fine selection of wines by the glass backed up with a happy hour that starts at 2:00.

We love the food at this restaurant. It is always fabulous. Except — –I have to say it has been inconsistent lately. Sometimes the food is right on and others, not so much. The last two times we have had brunch, the eggs were overcooked and the hash browns browned to inedible. Their usually fabulous fish and chips also are undercooked at times. Hopefully this is a temporary lull…

When you don’t have many options within walking distance if you’re staying at a hotel, it’s nice to know there’s a classic grill location nearby that serves the usual standbys and some good drinks. With fare that ranges from pasta and burgers to salads and appetizers, The Grill does a great job of not trying to offer too much(think of that Cheesecake Factory menu and the load of options). They offer a non-overwhelming selection of burgers, a couple pastas and salads, and a few specials(some of which include seafood). The restaurant has a classy feel to it, made more pronounced by the fancy water glasses, cloth napkins, and tables that are already set with glasses/silverware/small plates prior to you being seated. Plus, the lights are on the low side. There’s a large, semicircle bar in the middle of the restaurant and some seating outside, and it has more of a modern and cozy, rather than cavernous, feel. There are also some TVs that had sports on! You don’t have to come dressed to the nines but don’t wear your bathing suit either. I ordered the Kobe Sliders($ 13), which came with three moist and tender patties served on glistening baby buns with some grilled onions, bacon, and blue cheese. The accompanying garlic fries were served in a metal cup and had the perfect balance of garlic flavor without making your breath smell bad the rest of the night! No lettuce or tomatoes are automatically served with the burgers, but the waitress asked us if we wanted some when they brought our food. Cav got the Grill Burger which looked like a large version of the Kobe Sliders and came with plain fries. The staff did a good job of keeping our water glasses filled and the waitress was nice. I’d come again — and I want to try the Bacon Mac n Cheese next time!

Uhhhhhhhh if you have not had the Filet Mignon Quesadilla at this place you have not lived your life. Pretty much hands down best quesadilla I’ve ever sunk my teeth into. This thing had EVERYTHING you ever wanted… not to mention all working together… perfectly melding, mixing and enhancing one another… just like a championship sports team taking home the title. Filet mignon, amazing gobs of goat cheese, spinach, and portobello mushroom… all happily cuddling together. Not to mention a side of guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo all coming standard. I mean this thing will make you howl like a coyote in its habitat out there. Oh yea and the ahi tuna… don’t miss that appetizer as well… and don’t share it with anyone :). The perfect drizzle of the ponzu based sauce, coupled with just the right amount of seaweed salad draped over… you will forget all your problems and suddenly realize you would eat this bad boy ten days in a row and risk mercury poisoning just like Jeremy Piven.
