I give their sushi 5⁄5 stars. I came in here during my lunch. The employees are all very welcoming and are consistent in making sure you are comfortable. Great quality of food and also great variety of rolls to choose from. You will not be disappointed when eating here. I highly recommended.

It’s an ok place to go for sushi I guess. They put siracha on a lot of their rolls — yuck IMO. Trying to cater to the whole siracha craze I suppose. I’m surprised they didn’t have a bunch of bacon rolls too — Americans love their bacon. Anywhoo, It wasn’t terrible. I would stop by here again if I was really craving sushi and this was the closest place to go. I wouldn’t bring a date here, or my sister for that matter — she has worked in a sushi bar for years and knows her stuff. That’s how I rate my sushi. Would my sister approve? And sadly she would not approve of Sushi Train. Bottom line: It’s edible but not impressive.

After being told that we came at an off time, we thought we would give Sushi Train another shot. Unfortunately, the second time going was even worse than the first. This is by far the worst sushi restaurant I’ve ever been to. At 7pm on a Friday, multiple parties waiting to be seated, there was nearly nothing on the conveyor. Unless you are in the mood for tempura ham covered in a sweet glaze or chocolate chip cookies, do not go there for the sushi! Of the 16 people sitting around the restaurant, there was one person actually eating sushi. Everyone else was waiting for something, anything other than the saucy tempura ham, to come out. After flagging down a waitress, I attempted to order off the menu. Her response, «It might be a while before it comes out.» Looking flustered and not being able to answer how long«a while» might be, I elected to take my chances and select off the conveyor. Probably an even bigger mistake on my part. Ham, ham, and more ham. That is not what I would consider sushi, ever! If you are not in a big rush and enjoy anything but raw sushi, this is the place for you. Otherwise, you will be in for limited selection, poor service, and an overall disappointing experience!

Smallest sushi belt ive seen yet! Its at least half the size i normally see if not smaller. Cant seat no more than about 16 people. We had to order sushi simply because we ate all the VERY few plates of sushi they had out on the belt. There was only ebi, cookies, and edamame circling over and over. One thing i found ridiculous were the prices! A black plate is 3.75. One of the black plates had a piece of salmon and a piece of tuna on rice… thatd be on a dollar plate at sushi land. Sushi pieces come in 2 pieces per plate vs other sushi belt restaurants that have 4 pieces per plate. We left unsatisfied because well there was no sushi left on the belt. Our group of 5 ate the same amount($ 67) id eat between two people at sushi land($ 30).

The last few times we have been here, we have been less than impressed. I am hoping it just a few off days but I am thinking it might not be… We came in around 7 and the place was pretty busy — the service was very disjointed — we noticed that several of the sushi plates going around were ones covered in sauce and/or had deep fried stuff in them. We ordered a few rolls from the menu but it was difficult at best to get the servers attention, and then once we ordered, it took a long time to get the roll(over 15 minutes) when the sushi chefs were continuing to make sauce laden rolls for the belt. One of the rolls we ordered was a baked salmon roll — it came out still raw. Yes, I know, I am at a sushi place, but when the mood strikes for baked salmon and that is what I order, that is what I would like. Service is so hit or miss. Somedays you have to flag the waitress down to get a pop or order off the menu and then you are lucky to actually get what you ordered. Other times the service is on point. BUt most often, it is disjointed and sloppy at best. Prices have gone up in the last year. Biggest pet peeve? They have their tv turned on to stations which are absolutely disgusting to watch while eating. The last two times it has been on animal planet where they were doing surgery on animals. UM — not while I am eating! I hope they can keep their prices stable, offer better service, turn disgusting tv off, and better choices of rolls in the future or we will stay on the west side of town. We have really enjoyed this place in the past — hope they can fix the issues.

I love sushi. I do not love Sushi Train. Not one bit. A group of seven of us came in around 7:30, post workout and super hungry. We waited a few minutes for seats to be cleared and then were seated. The seats were fine. I ordered a bowl of rice for my kiddo. She was happy with it(I mean, it’s rice…). And then we waited, and waited, and waited some more for something to come down the line that didn’t contain artificial crab. I got a spicy tuna roll… I was the only one to get a roll that did not have artificial crab. We all started ordering off the menu because nothing was coming out except sauce-laden rolls, chocolate chip cooks and edamame. I got a seaweed salad and it was literally two bites. The spicy tuna hand roll was standard. Not as spicy as I’d like. I ordered a salmon skin hand roll and had to ask twice for it. And it would have been amazing had it not been drenched in sauce! There was no sauce in the picture! And no description saying the lovely, delicious crispy skin would be ruined by some disgustingly sweet sauce. Everyone in the party had issues with getting things ordered off the menu. Having to ask two or three times is unacceptable really. Service was bad. Food wasn’t great. Sashimi would’ve been awesome but maybe that’s asking a bit much. The only good things… The do have bottled beer and wine. And we were all able to refuel with some good proteins and carbs.

This place is a nice place, waitresses and personnel very courteous. They have running belt where you can sit on the front and pick up a plate, offering six types of plates each one with distinctic prices and colors, from $ 1.75 to $ 3.75. Service is good and quick and prices aren’t so bad. The quality of the food seems to be ok, no major dissapointments. There is a lot of creativity going on in their sushi, however the only trade off is the amount of souces, mayonnaise or any other souces on top of the sushi. I believe that those sauces take away the real flavor. Additionally I found some inconsistencies in their preparation, rice too dry or hot food too cold.

I’m confused and angsty about my own review of this place. The food is good… great…meh… The service is meh… terrible…ok… The prices are good, I like the plates on the wall. Ugh. I really WANT to like this place. So here’s my friendly advice: DININGEXPERIENCE101 1. Make me feel like this is a place I want to be: Every time I’ve come in, I’ve waited awkwardly in the front, floated close to some seats, looked up repeatedly at the waitress/chefs — who don’t look back up at me. — Greet with a smile and invite us to sit down, even if you can’t walk us to our seats, just so we know what to do. If we’ve seated ourselves and you’re busy, let us know you’ll be over soon. — Ask us if we want a drink, or provide us a way to get our own. 2. Help me spend money at your establishment: Give me an idea of what you expect. You’ve got a menu… how do I get some of the stuff on that menu? The hostess/waitress/one girl you have in the dining area? The chef who stands in the center and always looks busy? — Provide instructions, whether verbally or on the menu, on how we can order things. 3. You’ve got the decorations, now create the environment: I’ve been witness to many awkward conversations between restaurant staff, usually about each other. One way or another, the problem common in all threads here is service. Staff is too tight, too busy, or too depressed/angsty to provide service. Come on Sushi Train, you can do better. If you deal with your angst and help customers settle in and begin participating, this could be a great place. Right now it’s OK, and some days less so. Edit: Oh yeah, the REASONS why I want to like this place so much: — Teriaki Chicken is GEWD — Sushi is GEWD — Nigiri is FAVE The end.

I sadly found this place abit of a disappointment. Two sushi per plate is skimpy. Trust me I’ve had sushi in L.A., Chicago, San Francisco, Portland, Tokyo and Seattle for the same price range. Two sushi per plate is just skimpy. Taste was ok however not much in diversity in fish options. Honestly I’ll just go to another place for better sushi for the same price and double the quantity.

This spot, like the Sushi Go round up the way, is hit or miss depending on when you go and how crowded it is, at least when it comes to the choices on the belt. What you will find is that this place has better prices than its competitor up the road, with plates that have much more variety, albeit different. Nigiri at this restaurant is hard to come by, and not nearly as high quality as at Sushi Go Round, same with the sashimi. But if your favorites are the ones covered in a variety of sweet and spicy sauces so much so that you can no longer taste the fish: then this is your place. Four stars because Sushi Train is very good at what it does.

Came here with the hubby, it’s not a fancy small place, but great foods and friendly staffs, get quick service from the waitress, order from menu served quick too. Price are cheap, options are limited. We will definitely come back again since only 1.2miles distance from our home.

quick food, cheap prices, friendly staff and a decent variety when it comes to what is offered on the sushi belt. we went here for an early evening dinner. the place is small since seating revolves around the sushi belt but they do have booths and bar style seating. it was slightly difficult for me to tell some of the dishes apart(and one particularly spicy roll definitely caught me off guard!). but we had fun here and walked away very full and satisfied. i did order a salmon skin roll through our waitress and i have to say that was the most difficult salmon skin roll to eat — i appreciate that they gave me a lot of crispy delicious fried salmon skin strips but because it was arranged like a bouquet more than a «roll» each bite was so uneven and the darn thing kept falling apart. i ended up pulling it apart to eat which was not as much fun. overall — a solid restaurant, may not be the best presentation but you get your money’s worth.

I’ve always been hesitant to eat at a conveyer belts sushi place but my husband heard good things about this place so we figured we could give it a shot. We have been coming back ever since. Tasty, fast, inexpensive sushi served by happy staff. It’s not lavish with drawing made with the sauces, but who really cares about that stuff anyway. ;)

What a great find. Went here on a date with the hubby. It isn’t a fancy place, but they make terrific sushi. The chefs here will make you just about anything, but if you’d rather stick to what is in front of you on the«train» that’s fine too. They have a belt that goes around and has different options on it. Different plates have different prices. According to the wall, some people have had 30+ plates. I was full after about 5-plates. The staff here were great, super friendly and attentive. They made us some dishes that weren’t on the menu so that we could try something. We will be back for sure.
