They closed their doors just recently. Another sushi business will open in the same location.

Unfortunately Sushi Go Round has gone out of business. I for one and devastated. Thank you SGR for all your wonderful meals and service over the past couple of years. Not sure where to go now for fantastic Sushi.

A quick stop but a bit spendy. On my way to Shelton, I stopped into the«Sushi Go Round» in Lacey to get a quick bite. I started off with the complimentary miso soup before selecting 4 plates off the track. In terms of quality, all was well, and the service was friendly. My one complaint is that compared to other«track» style places, this was more expensive — I had a bit of «sticker shock» when my bill was $ 13. I was in a hurry, but in retrospect I’ve wondered if that was even correct. Nonetheless, it «hit the spot» — I just suggest monitoring your plates because of what is evidently an expensive and more complicated pricing format than I’ve seen other places.

We like that the food is already made as soon as we walk in. My husband always orders the ramen or udon bowls along with grabbing some sushi that passes by.

Great experience, first time eating sushi this way! The food was very fresh and flavorful. All the staff were attentive and friendly. The chefs were great also, they would put the freshly made items in front of us telling us what is on the rolls. I would recommend for sure.

My wife and I love coming here. We’re not big sushi buffs, but that is exactly what we love about the place — the opportunity to try new things in small portions without having to guess at what we would like before we order it. It makes it easy to be brave, because I select what looks appealing, and end up discovering that I tried squid or octopus, when I might not have been brave enough to order it on my own. The chefs will make anything they can for you on the spot, so don’t just limit yourself to what’s on the belt! The very specific hours that this restaurant is open help make sure that what is on the belt is fresh.

This place is either great or menial, really no rhyme or reason to it. Saturday they have the most variety, but today(Wednesday) they had a greater selection than I’ve ever seen there. They close from 1430 to 1630 every weekday, so no late lunches here. The salmon nigiri here is really something else; whatever they marinate it in is absolutely divine. Perfect texture, great taste. Try the volcano roll, perfect amount of spice. And don’t be afraid to order something off the menu if you don’t see it on the belt! I’m sure the chefs would love to make something out of the routine. Ask For the miso soup, it’s free!

This place gets pretty good business… Not a single Asian customer in sight though, which is a red flag. As previous reviewers have indicated, they produce a lot of American-style fake crab meat with mayonnaise rolls. They did have a few pieces of raw fish going around the belt when I went but, because their primary customer base does not tend to go for that sort of thing, I was pretty leery of picking any of them up. I ordered tempura udon and got one piece of soggy tempura in what appeared to be instant udon. And it was lukewarm. I also ordered several plates of salmon nigiri(not off the belt but straight from the chef), a couple of spicy tuna rolls(also not off the belt but straight from the chef) and a white tuna nigiri(also not off the belt but straight from the chef). The salmon nigiri was just OK. They were pre-cut rectangles, not freshly sliced. The white tuna nigiri was not good. It had a wateriness /slightly freezer burned quality to it. The spicy tuna rolls were ordinary. I ordered a soda, so my bill after taxes and tip, was $ 36. Not cheap. For that price, I’ll be exploring other local area sushi places. If only Ten Sushi in Seattle was closer… Or even Gari in Tacoma… JBLM base traffic, unfortunately, makes things tricky. We used to go to Aya in Olympia, and the food was of very high quality but the unapologetically poor /incompetent service has kept us from going back. Aya really needs better servers, because not everyone can sit at the bar in direct line of sight of the chef.

Their sushi is the typical American version of sushi, which means it’s pretty much just imitation crab and mayo. Their seats are duct taped and stick to your pants/legs, and they don’t even take the time to clean their restrooms or even put the toilet paper in the holder. The food that’s supposed to be hot is cold, and we sat there for an hour and saw fish unrefrigerated on the conveyer belt. My sister got sick from eating their food. I would recommend going here for legit sushi.

Having just moved from Japan I am happy to live in an area with so many sushi train restaurants. I went here for Father’s Day and it was my first time in Washington going to one of these. I was very pleased with the high quality sushi that was so reasonably priced per plate! They offer a very diverse section plus a menu where you can order specific things if you like. The staff was very friendly and provided great service. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for good sushi in the Olympia area!

The customer service is great! Everyone is super friendly and the place is comfortable and clean. The food is… Eh. Not bad but not great either. I could take it or leave it. Granted we went on a Sunday around 3 and there was only about 4 other people there so the sushi and sides were cold and looked like they had been there for a while. The spicy crunch roll was good though, I think if the food would have been fresh it would have been really yum!

Service– great. Sushi– bland, over priced and barely any actual seafood! Very disappointing… We will stick with Sushi Train down the street.

Great customer service! I love stopping bye really quick after the gym for the Ichiro Sushi! I’m not a huge fan of sushi, but that deep fried California roll is so good!

This lady is crazy, I watched the manager/owner throw change at people because the restaurant didn’t cook their food properly and they refused to eat it. What kind of person does that, NEVERGOTOTHISPLACE!!!

Our new favorite sushi place!!! Portions are small and prices are low! I can get 3 pieces of 3 different types of sushi for the price of a six piece roll at other places. Staff is super friendly! It was great! Both of us ate till we were full for only $ 22! I loved it, my husband loved it, we are definitely going back!

I’ve eaten here for years and it’s still one of my favorite sushi places in Lacey. It’s one of those conveyor belt sushi places, which makes it fun to choose from. There have been many times I discovered a new favorite because I saw it rollin by. The service is always attentive and the sushi is always fresh. It you love rolls, then you’ll love this place! They have some of the most creative rolls I’ve seen, but I’m more of a Nori sushi lover, but my husband and kids love their rolls. Don’t be afraid to ask for things that are on the belt, but on the menu! They are always happy to make a fresh sushi roll, etc for you upon request. Remember to get a punch card too, which after you fill the card, gives you a certain % discount on a meal.

This use to be one of our favorite places to eat when I lived in Olympia. The people were always friendly and we normally sat at the same booth every time. We always got miso soup(sometimes cold but when asked they brought out a hot bowl) water for me and green tea for him. I didn’t like the green tea very much but he loved it. The sushi was always fresh and tasty. We always started off ordering our favorite from the menu then pulled from the belt for random things. The menu is clear and explains everything as it coincides with the colored plates for the prices. I miss this place.(H&S)

This place is owned and run by Korean entrepreneurs, which is great if you’re in the mood for great Korean cuisine. However, according to the online defintion, Sushi is a Japanese food consisting of cooked vinegared rice combined with other ingredients including seafood vegetables and some tropical fruits. Can be prepared with brown or white rice and usually with raw seafood and some cooked ingredients. It is often served with shredded ginger, wasabi and soy sauce. The name of the restaurant is a little bit confusing because it has you thinking that this food is prepared and served as an authentic Japanese cuisine style restaurant. It is not. The food is coated in creamy sauces that take away from the original flavor of raw seafood, vegetables and rice. The cooks are kind but I do believe the food in my opinion is coated with those sauces to hide the taste of something other than natural fresh fish. Not all of their meals are offerred at all times. I will leave it at that. Because we are serving ourselves, I do not feel a full 18 or 20 percent tip is warranted, so I leave $ 5 instead for clean up.

If you like food that comes to you on a conveyor belt, then this is your restaurant! Friendly, fun atmosphere for a pay-by-the-plate sushi lunch or dinner.

Sushi Go Round is kind of me and my friend’s go-to place for fast, inexpensive, delicious sushi. Every time we go here, the place is clean and the people are nice. If they are missing something on the conveyor belt, they are really quick to make more. They also remember who you are when you come in frequently. It’s much better than some of the other sushi places in the area. I haven’t tried Aya Sushi yet though. They have a really good selection of sushi and a couple of other options for vegetarians so you’re not feeling totally left out. As a vegetarian, I usually get the veggie tempura, the veggie tempura rolls, cucumber rolls, avocado rolls, salted edamame and sometimes a cheese cake. I always leave with my belly full, but I’m a lightweight. I can really only eat like 6 – 9 plates, not like some of the seemingly competitive eaters that come in and just dominate 50 plates by themselves. I’m like… for real doe? Anyway, what I’ve mentioned above may not be enough selection for some vegetarians, but it’s enough for me. I think they have spring rolls too, if you want one of those. The sushi I think looks decently well made and many are not swimming in sauce like you sometimes see. They also seem to know when to remove items from the conveyor when they get a little whomp whomp. The prices are really really good too. There is a TV if you want to watch it and the conveyor is really long and big so there is always room for at least 20 – 30 people. I think they have a decent selection of adult & asian adult beverages too if you’ve not feeling water or soda. This will still be my go-to, but my friend keeps telling me to try Koibito or Aya Sushi, so we will see Sushi Go Round. We… will see *give the side eye*
