This is my favorite place to eat when I’m visiting the Olympia area. I’ve never had a bad experience here and I’ve been quite a few times. The entire staff are all incredibly nice and polite, they always take care of us like they would their own family. My personal favorite is the Mongolian beef, which I get pretty much every time I go. I also get their pot stickers and barbecue pork as a starter. I’ve never tried anything from here that wasn’t good. I usually hate taking out food because it isn’t warm enough when I get home but this place is just as good when I finally get to eat it. I wish I lived here so I could eat here all the time.

Been coming here for over 15 years, the taste of the food is good. Personal favorites are their Mongolian Beef, Almond Chicken, and Kung Pao Chicken. One of the if not the best chinese place in Lacey, quality food, — a bit salty on some dishes but to be expected from american-chinese food, highly recommended.

What a disappointing experience. The food didn’t taste awful but the broccoli beef and general tso with fried rice were a poor poor representation of what they should be. The chicken fried rice was not really fried at all. It was almost like they put fried rice ingredients in steamed rice, put in a hot pan for one second and plated it. The beef and broccoli was more like a stir fry. I will say the egg rolls were very good though. I have no idea how this place got such awesome reviews. It’s not disgusting, but definitely leaves much to be desired! Out of the 3 other place I have tried in the lacey/Olympia area, this is the best place, somehow. The search continues…

Our family LOVES the Tea Leaf! Great service, the food is always consistent and amazing. The soups have so much flavor! It has the feel of a casual older diner, then the dishes start coming out and it’s incredible!

After reading the reviews on here I went for dinner. Although I ordered take out I must say that the dining room lacked comfort and the place smelled like old rotten grease. To say the food was sub-par would be an understatement, it was terrible. Chicken was chewy, probably frozen, egg rolls tasted freezer burnt, the portions were small and the food, over priced. I will tell everyone to avoid this«restaurant» at all cost.

Horrible food! Mongolian beef had no flavor, sweet and sour chicken was stale and full of fat, egg rolls taste like walmart frozen special, and portions were small and over priced. Avoid wasting your money here!

We are from the east coast and have tried numerous Chinese restaurants since we moved here two years ago… nothing compared… then we tried Tea Leaf II-‘d everything we tried! The Mongolian beef is so tender and juicy, it practically melts in your mouth. Our kids loved the crab cream cheese so much that we had to order them seconds! The service was fast & friendly. Outdated décor but willing to look past it for the excellent food. We will definitely be back!

I had the soft noodle chow mien and it was awesome. Others at the table had a great experience with their food. I tried it all and was very impressed with the taste. Mandarin chicken, deluxe noodles with vegetables and a barbecue prawn meal that was out of this world. This will be my new favorite restaurant to go to. The staff was very friendly and the owners who not only own the restaurant but, work to make it the best restaurant in town, are there every day with a smile on there face. You won’t be disappointed. I tried calling to place a to-go order this morning. First off. They hung up on my sister twice. And the way they answered was so unprofessional. They just said hello and I had to ask if this was tea leaf 2 then they said yes and hung up on me again. And THEN! I called again and tried to order and the guy didn’t even ask me for my name or tell me how long it was gonna take. It was just all around rude. With that service I refuse to go in and pick up my food and never again will I ever come back to a place with such rude customer service over the phone. I also work in the restaurant industry so I know how this works or how to treat customers. Just overly disappointed. Never coming to this place again.

Really decent prices and probably the best Chinese takeout I’ve had in this town. A little under seasoned, but id take that over something too salty any day.

I recently had my baby shower here. It was a great experience. We got the whole party room and we were not charged an extra fee for renting the room, just the price of food. The service was very attentive. I wouldn’t mind doing another party here in the future.

Ordered lunch from Tea Leaf 2 to go and we were not disappointed. This may be our go to local Chinese option. Hot food, flavor full, decent prices(could stand to be slightly less as their prices rival some of the places here in NY), good portions — that’s essentially everything I need from a Chinese spot! We ordered their kung pao chicken and chicken chow mein as well as some egg roll. Good flavoring and was still hot by the time we dug into them at home. Inside, the dining room looked relatively large so next time we may dine in. For now, Tea Leaf 2 will be the first place I call for Chinese to-go.

Very delicious food, no MSG! Fresh, and crunchy vegetables with good quality meat. They even have brown rice available.

Best Chinese restaurant ever. Hot food, fresh veggie, every thing was good seasoned. Come for mothers day. Usually closed on Sunday. We come to see my mom on Sunday. I will be sad because I come see my mom only on Sundays

Extremely disappointed. I went in at the beginning of the dinner service, so I excepted great service and especially great food. The service was pretty good, not outstanding, but no compliments. The food was not what I expected. I had the Dinner Combo E which was General Tao(its usually Taos at other places, just Tao here) chicken and the great reviewed Mongolian beef. I also had fried rice instead of the regular rice that comes with the entrée. First, the General Tao chicken was lackluster at best. The sauce wasn’t very spicy even at 4 stars, and the chicken was not crispy at all more soggy than anything. The ingredients seemed pretty fresh. The reviews seemed to be pretty great for the monogolian beef so I was pretty excited to finally get to try it. It was one of the worst I have had. VERY greasy, razor thin pieces of beef, and seemed almost over marinated. It lacked a variety of vegetables usually associated with monogolian beef dishes. I was not impressed. Overall, I will probably not go back here. There are by far better Asian places in town.

Tea Leaf is great. I suggest you try the spicy twice cooked pork, garlic chicken, Mongolian beef or ginger prawns. Don’t forget Tea Leaf fried rice or Tea Leaf chow mein.

This place has become a staple over the past year. The Mongolian Beef, Tempura Prawns, and the twice-cooked pork are some of our favorites. Typically I order take out and have only eaten in the restaurant once. The young man that typically takes the order and serves as cashier is very friendly and never had an issue with having a wrong order. The only suggestions I wish The Tea Leaf would change is to have smaller soup orders for take out, add an egg drop soup option to the menu, and add Chow Mei Fun noodle dishes. Otherwise, this restaurant is fairly consistent and will keep on going here till we relocate.

This is a lovely Chinese style restaurant that has long history and great food. The food is well prepared and adjusted for your own specific level of heat. Because the owners/proprietors are Korean there are some Korean food items on the menu as well(and some off menu items too!). As many others have stated before, the Mongolian Beef is top notch. The hot tea is also great(love Barley tea). I highly recommend this
