The hotel is near a seemingly rough area, so I was glad to see that the parking lot was well lit. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, had a decent size TV, and the balcony overlooked an overgrown, very Louisiana-like courtyard, which I thought was cool. It’s kind of a hassle to come and go during the day because it is located on a fast moving, high traffic road, but otherwise an overall good experience for the price.

Under new management– making changes daily! Rooms are clean and the courtyard is nice for a little r&r! New bar and restaurant — delicious food and friendly staff!

I stay at the Clarion on business frequently. The area is close to downtown and the airport and they even have a free airport shuttle. The staff is great and always helpful. The new restaurant food is awesome with large portions. I find the rooms to be clean and quite and comfortable beds. They are currently remodeling but that doesn’t effect my stays and I would recommend to anyone as it is a great value,

I’m a female traveling alone. I check into the hotel at 11:30PM after working a 14 hour day at Festival International in Lafayette, Louisiana. I ate at the restaurant & entered my hotel room at midnight. There were stains on comforter, used soap/shampoo bottle in shower, disgusting hair on the toilet, whiskers in the sink, crumbs on bedside table & some sort of tooth or plaster on the counter. I call the front desk. The night shift worker was EXTREMELY rude and did NOTHING to help me. I was too tired to care, so I went to bed. The next morning at 8am, still no manager on duty. The houskeeping staff claims they cleaned my room and that someone must have entered my room! SCARY. I come back again at midnight from another 14 hour work day. My key is disabled twice, which requires me to walk in the parking lot TWICE, in the dark back to the front desk. I told the front desk that I needed a manager to walk me to my room because I was afraid to walk in the dark parking lot. She laughed at me, rolled her eyes, and told me she«walks in the dark all the time».(This was the same woman that was rude to me the night before). Little did she know, I had $ 2000CASH in my booksack from selling art at the festival. The manager walks me to my room. When he opens the door(b/c my key will not work), there is a note slipped under my door that says in very bad grammar«You owe me $ 832 from room 256». At this point I pack my bag and immediately leave. Remember the«tooth» in the bathroom? I showed a picture of it to a friend in law enforcement the next day. He identified it as a CRACKROCK. I am glad that I made it out of there alive. The overall vibe of the hotel was creepy, shady and dirty. I’m not writing this review out of anger. I feel responsibility to warn others. This hotel was $ 87 dollars a night. I chose it because it was one of the more expensive ones in the area, thinking I would get a safer place. Boy was I wrong! But you can rent it for $ 200 a week ;) Choice Hotels corporate was completely apathetic.

I made a reservation on . I love by the way, but the pictures were deceiving. It looked like the projects in some abandoned 5th ward area. We didn’t even check in. We just locked the doors and drove to a decent hotel!

This was the absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It was filthier than words can explain. We opened a drawer and found prescription narcotics(pain pills) and used tissues along with other garbage. We could write our name in the dust. We had to clean the tub before showering(with shoes). The trash cans on the grounds were overflowing at all times, the pool was closed, and there was a humidifier in the room to try to help suck out some of the stinky moist air. We did our best not to touch ANYTHING. The breakfast bar was also disgusting and they were always out of coffee… in the morning! We searched until 2am for another hotel but the entire town was booked. Priceline helped us get a PARTIAL refund because the manager could have cared less and would not even return phone calls. This place should be shut down. I have 20+ pictures to prove it. Choice Hotels is the corporate company but they left all of the decisions up to this… manager. So I give the Clarion Inn AND Choice Hotels a big thumbs down. I have been going back and forth with them for a month and a half. I give up. Keep the rest of my money. Use it to hire a hazmat team.

Booked a room online(masked URL, thought it was a Clarion site) and got email confirmation after it was too late to stop CC approval, desk clerk couldn’t confirm on their system but verified conformation on my phone… She tells me it’s ok to check-in since she was on the phone with them and the manager of the property… Then get a knock on my door an hour later and was asked for my credit card again… credit card dinged for another $ 72…Got SCAMMED by (an affiliate of Travelocity) and Clarion Inn Lafayette Airport… Now I have to deal with a mess because I was double charged! Manager had a care less attitude the next morning.
