About the same quality as the other«restaurants» in the Union. A step below a similar fast food joint for the same price. If you are in the mood for Americanized Mexican, do yourself a favor and go to Qdoba, Chipotle, or Fiesta. They are two blocks away. Same prices. You will get your food about the same time since la salsa takes forever to get their food out.

I’m not a huge fan of La Salsa. The food is either decent or a disaster. My burritos sometimes come out cold and the nachos I’ve gotten are really smushy. I think there are better places on campus to eat Mexican food to be honest.

I really enjoy La Salsa, especially since I don’t have to pay tax since I’m a Purdue student. I haven’t really been able to find a good Mexican restaurant since I’ve lived in Indiana, but here I can get great tacos, and a variety of salsas.

Decent food in the union, would come here again. It’s a mix of chipotle-esque fast food and authentic stuff so it’s sort of in it’s sort of special category that I can’t really describe.

Best place to eat in the Union in my opinion. Salads and taco salads are quite good. I’ve never gotten anything with meat however. I have waited quite a while for food as well although that doesn’t usually bother me much. Also the staff seems to be generally confused about what is going on.

Definitely a step up from Taco Bell but a step down from the«real» Mexican restaurants in the area as well. As their name implies they do provide unlimited salsa and I think their salsa is quite good. Most of their dishes though are quite pricey even for restaurants within The Union. Their burritos are quite good but I still prefer Chipotle’s for the price; their nachos though are quite excellent and La Salsa will give you a heaping portion for very cheap. Combined with their salsa the half-portion nachos make for an excellent meal for any student.(one annoying thing though sometimes they ask you if you want meat on the nachos — what they don’t mention is that it costs extra money)

This place is a step up from taco bell, chipotle, qdoba, labamba and a step or two below the good authentic places that this town has to offer. The food is good, semi-authentic mexican that is a bit on the pricey side. They have a good selection of salsa’s at the salsa bar. I’ve had their«mexico city tacos», which are tacos al pastor, mexican style; their burritos, carnitas, quesodillas, taco salad and nachos. All are fine. I eat there a lot because it is close to the office and I’ll take pretty decent mexican over most other kinds of food any day. They are a bit pricey, but if you get the nachos or taco salad you’ll have enough food for a couple meals. My biggest complaint with the place is that their meat is always less than hot in most dishes. 3 stars compared to authentic mexican places, more stars compared to most other restaurants on campus.
