Really my favorite Chinese buffet in Lafayette. It’s pretty clean and the food is good.

I should start by saying that I’ve only ever had the buffet and usually to go. If you are looking for real Chinese food this is not your place. Lotus Garden is Americanized Chinese food at its best: cheap, fast, a little greasy, consist and mostly MSG free.

Quick lunch buffet. It was mediocre. Kinda hot inside. Typical American — Chinese food. Everything tasted same. Don’t know if I ever go back there.

I’ve been comming here for years. The buffet has a good selection and the food is pretty good. As with any buffet timing is an issue. Come during the busier times to get the freshist food. The staff is always nice and the price is reasonable.

This review is for the Boo-Fay, as I’ve not had the Phở here yet. I’ve read the other reviews and I would not argue that this is the best Chinese food trough in Lafayette. I like that it’s small, you don’t have to hike around 30 people and six islands of chow to get what you want. Everything here is fresh, most of it is cooked well, and even the beef dishes are pretty decent. Here’s a quick summary of what I’ve eaten here: — Wonton and egg drop soups — pretty good. about what you’d expect. — Teriyaki chicken– good, but sometimes overcooked. — Low mein — OK — General Joes chicken — OK — Beef and broccoli — pretty good and tender beef — unusual for most buffets. — Sushi — pretty weak — Desserts — Ice cream very good, cookies and cakes like other joints like this. Overall, nothing really excellent here, but nothing really crappy either.

Ok, not a fan of buffets. One star is for the fresh Mongolian grill options. The second star is for the $ 5 lunch plates. Third star is for the DELICIOUS fried bananas, I can’t find them at any other buffet anywhere. The fourth star is for this place being the only buffet in town that I can stomach. Like I said before, I’m not a fan of buffets. But, lotus garden has been around since I was a young kid and there is a reason for that. Im not saying to get the sushi. I’ve never had it, because I eat the raw stuff and i stick to Osaka for that. But, this buffet works for me. I’ve never been let down by the food or service. Best buffet in Lafayette.

Ok, I admit, this was not my destination tonight but when I arrived to find out Saigon was closed on Mondays, I came here instead. No menu, unless you want sushi. There’s a buffet, but that’s not what I was here for. I was on a mission for phở and I was not expecting a Chinese buffet to have decent phở but I didn’t care, I was desperate. I was pleasantly surprised. The bowl was huge and I was delighted to make my girlfriend’s first experience with«real» Vietnamese phở a good one. I’ve eaten phở in different areas of the country and this measured up to the best. I will be back.

I only ate the beef phở here, so this is all I am reviewing on. This is probably the best beef phở in lafayette, it is decent in flavors, and they give you a lot of meat, a little more expensive than your average bowl of phở in bigger cities, but sometimes you have to take what you can have around Lafayette.

Rude staff and horrible food. We went there a few months back and they did not even have a real menu to offer. The rude waitress just tossed a magazine(heavily used) on our table to serve as menu. The place looked like it was for buffet lovers only. When we looked at the buffet, the food looked old and heavily fried. This place has no pride… avoid.
