This place is truly a drink of fresh water from the desert sands of Lafayette. Amazing variety, no crowds, and no sense of entitlement. Come here for a true oasis.

Stop in for your morning coffee. Espresso, cappuccino, boba tea! They’ve revived their early café hours since nearby LaBoulange recently shuttered. They’ve really dialed in on their best menu items. Area restaurant kitchen staff even stop in!

This place is absolutely delicious. We ordered the Greek Plate, and gyros pitas, and everything was so good. I am not a fan of falafel so I don’t know how to rate that, but it was better with the yogurt sauce and chili sauce. The hummus and tabouleh on my Greek Plate were so flavorful and we devoured every bit of gyros and pita on our plates. The customer service can’t be beat and don’t forget to try the baklava. We will definitely be back.

Great food and great service! I was in the mood for Greek food and Oasis café did not disappoint! I had the lamb gyro and my boyfriend had the lamb bowl(which is basically the lamb gyro with no pita). Much to our surprise the wonderful one man show waiter/cook brought us out some homemade hummus with pita bread at no extra cost! The hummus was delicious and we will definitely be returning!

The food was excellent and the service was cheerful and prompt. The chicken quesadilla with cheese was very tasty. The chicken was flavorful and moist. The gyro was delicious too. Not too many tables so more of a take out.

Wondered upon this café when just walking by, couldn’t pass up dining here as it’s rare to find a place that serves gyros. Ohhhhhhh probably the best gyro meat I’ve had in a long time perhaps ever!

Meh. Food is ok, not great. Chicken shwarma is fine, but nothing to write home about. The falafel is just awful. They are like mushy, dry bricks. Not crispy on the outside. Not moist on the inside. Gyro meat is kind of dried out, not very flavorful. They also do not have a functioning website or an online menu which makes lunch runs a bit of chore. Overall, it is just mediocre.

Great gyros with friendly atmosphere and outdoor seating on a nice afternoon. Baklava was a nice treat afterwards, we will be back next time we we’re in the area!

Amazing gyro. Had never tried a gyro before, and this place made an amazing one. Have tried many other gyros since, and none of them were remotely as good. The owner was really nice, and asked me how spicy I wanted it. Will always go whenever I’m in the east bay.

I found this place because the owner found my wallet(that had fallen out of my pocket in the Safeway parking lot) and turned it in to the local Wells Fargo branch. I stopped by to thank him and took home a bunch of food for dinner. I was pretty impressed and will go back for more. The convenience of its location near the BART station is great. The owner saved me a lot of time and hassle.

Found this little place on Unilocal and thought we would give it a try. Ordered a chicken shewarma plate and a gyro plate to go. The chicken was cooked to order, the pita was amazing and the hummus was creamy and tangy… the way we like it. The place was run completely bY one man… a very nice man who washed his hands after handling my money(always appreciate cleanliness!). We will definitely be coming back to this spot for the quality food and service!

I would go out of my way and swing through Lafayette just for the pita at this place. It’s that good. Thick and doughy but still warm and light, the pita is made fresh on site. Outstanding, home-made hummus and tahini as well. Basically, everything was pretty amazing.

Had chicken Shawerma– was super bland, but everything was fresh and the place is very clean. I’d go back to try the gyro.

I decided to check this place out after seeing all the rave Unilocal reviews… let me tell you, this place is the real deal. I had the Spicy lamb gyro sandwich and it was OFFTHEHOOK! The owner was especially friendly gracious and went out of his way to make sure me & my family’s food was prepared just the way we wanted. Love this place — I will definitely be back for more of that spicy lamb gyro goodness!

Love it! Family owned and such a commitment to great food. Best Gyros I’ve had… i’m gonna say it-ever. So much value for the money. I just wish they were open later and on Sunday so I could visit more often.

Oasis Café looks like an hole in the wall. just a take out place. doubt it. didn’t check out the side. just got take out. friendly greeting/quick service eats: gyro sandwich(6.99) –lamb, hummus, t. sauce in pita bread –lots of tomato/cucumber bits. lamb was loaf like, grounded –tasted just a little lamb, sammie gooey, lotsa veggies –not so fulfulling, shawarma would be fulfilling –not wowed, it was fresh tasting 3.5 stars crumbs: –just a quick bite, –didn’t see much options: turkey sammie, gyro, shawarma –not much parking here. got 15 min. spot.

Although i’m fairly new to gyros, having only had one on one other occasion, I stopped by to this little tucked away café in hope of filling up my stomach after a pretty unsatisfactory lunch. I walked in and since i had came intending to purchase a gyro, I had one of 4 – 5 options, including the oasis platter(gyro meat, pita, greek salad, etc), the gyro platter(same as the former but with hummus rather than the salad), the gyro sandwich, and one option that escapes me at the moment. I was with my mom and decided on grabbing the gyro platter which i was worried would be too small to share. To my surprise, not only was there a huge helping of well seasoned gyro meat, hummus, Tzatziki sauce, and pico de gallo, but the pita was served in small triangles perfect for sharing! The owner, Ron, even supplied us with a gracious amount of extra pita bread. Ron was very hospitable and talked to us for the duration of our stay, and he really puts an emphasis on everything being fresh and ensuring the customer is satisfied, asking for any criticisms and guaranteeing an improvement on any faults the next visit. Overall, while the café is small and tucked away, it has a clean atmosphere and seems welcoming once you step through the doors. For 8.99, the gyro platter was more than reasonably priced and my mom and I plan on being regulars.
